champion_n shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o rescue_v other_o that_o he_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o preserve_v his_o own_o life_n 15._o nor_o shall_v the_o most_o cunning_a archer_n be_v able_a to_o stand_v to_o it_o so_o long_o as_o to_o make_v sufficient_a use_n of_o his_o bow_n or_o the_o swift_a of_o foot_n to_o run_v so_o fast_o as_o to_o carry_v himself_o far_o enough_o out_o of_o danger_n shall_v be_v like_o a_o pure_a virgin_n in_o the_o sincere_a profession_n and_o service_n of_o the_o true_a god_n but_o now_o her_o spiritual_a whoredom_n represent_v she_o as_o a_o wanton_a and_o impudent_a harlot_n therefore_o her_o fall_n from_o that_o virginity_n have_v produce_v so_o deep_a and_o great_a a_o fall_n into_o calamity_n and_o desolation_n that_o if_o she_o do_v not_o speedy_o prevent_v it_o by_o repentance_n there_o be_v little_a or_o no_o hope_n of_o her_o rise_n again_o and_o recover_v her_o wont_a peace_n and_o prosperity_n she_o be_v level_v with_o the_o earth_n like_o one_o ready_a to_o be_v bury_v in_o silence_n and_o oblivion_n and_o know_v of_o none_o that_o be_v able_a to_o raise_v she_o up_o and_o reduce_v she_o to_o her_o former_a estate_n 3._o in_o this_o misery_n and_o captivity_n which_o i_o foresee_v as_o certain_o come_v upon_o she_o very_o few_o will_v be_v leave_v in_o her_o city_n and_o village_n for_o thus_o say_v the_o lord_n god_n a_o city_n in_o israel_n that_o can_v send_v out_o a_o thousand_o valiant_a man_n well_o appoint_v shall_v scarce_o be_v able_a to_o show_v the_o ten_o part_n of_o they_o leave_v alive_a and_o that_o city_n which_o can_v send_v out_o a_o hundred_o shall_v have_v as_o little_a a_o proportion_n leave_v for_o the_o house_n of_o israel_n not_o the_o ten_o part_n but_o nine_o part_n of_o ten_o shall_v be_v take_v away_o by_o the_o sword_n or_o the_o famine_n or_o the_o pestilence_n 4._o yet_o this_o sentence_n be_v not_o so_o irreversible_o conclude_v by_o the_o lord_n against_o the_o house_n of_o isaael_n but_o that_o if_o you_o will_v now_o seek_v after_o your_o merciful_a god_n in_o that_o way_n in_o which_o only_o he_o may_v be_v find_v which_o be_v in_o the_o way_n of_o repentance_n you_o may_v either_o remove_v or_o at_o least_o mitigate_v the_o decree_n of_o your_o most_o just_a and_o deserve_a punishment_n that_o will_v otherwise_o cut_v off_o so_o many_o by_o death_n 5._o this_o repentance_n must_v not_o be_v verbal_a only_o but_o active_a and_o real_a you_o must_v absolute_o renounce_v the_o service_n of_o your_o golden_a calf_n in_o bethel_n 4._o you_o must_v have_v no_o more_o to_o do_v in_o the_o idolatry_n of_o gilgal_n or_o beersheba_n for_o the_o right_a service_n of_o god_n will_v not_o consist_v with_o the_o worship_n of_o idol_n therefore_o if_o you_o forsake_v not_o these_o place_n you_o must_v perish_v in_o they_o 〈◊〉_d for_o gilgal_n must_v go_v into_o captivity_n according_a to_o the_o omen_n in_o her_o name_n and_o bethel_n that_o carry_v in_o the_o name_n of_o it_o the_o house_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v turn_v to_o beth-aven_a which_o promise_v nothing_o but_o 〈◊〉_d iniquity_n vanity_n and_o desolation_n 6._o therefore_o keep_v close_o to_o that_o way_n of_o repentance_n wherein_o god_n be_v to_o be_v find_v that_o be_v the_o only_a way_n to_o preserve_v you_o in_o life_n and_o safety_n and_o if_o you_o be_v not_o find_v in_o that_o way_n you_o expose_v yourselves_o to_o extreme_a danger_n and_o know_v not_o how_o soon_o the_o house_n of_o joseph_n as_o you_o call_v your_o kingdom_n of_o israel_n from_o the_o tribe_n of_o ephraim_n the_o great_a part_n in_o it_o and_o the_o royal_a tribe_n may_v be_v compass_v with_o those_o flame_n of_o war_n that_o will_v 〈◊〉_d break_v out_o on_o such_o a_o sudden_a that_o the_o best_a of_o you_o and_o your_o friend_n will_v find_v no_o time_n wherein_o to_o quench_v or_o prevent_v they_o no_o not_o in_o bethel_n the_o 13â—_n king_n court_n and_o the_o eminent_a place_n of_o all_o the_o kingdom_n 7._o and_o how_o can_v they_o look_v for_o a_o mild_a punishment_n that_o turn_v justice_n the_o sweet_a and_o lovely_a of_o all_o virtue_n into_o injury_n and_o oppression_n which_o be_v as_o unwelcome_a and_o distasteful_a as_o the_o bitter_a wormwood_n and_o when_o they_o shall_v exalt_v justice_n and_o prefer_v she_o before_o all_o other_o respect_n whatsoever_o do_v
