the_o heart_n of_o god_n people_n before_o these_o time_n and_o before_o they_o have_v all_o thing_n in_o their_o own_o hand_n and_o become_v reformer_n of_o the_o church_n now_o because_o of_o covetousness_n all_o be_v mar_v that_o no_o business_n can_v be_v look_v upon_o now_o the_o lord_n look_v upon_o we_o and_o indeed_o though_o we_o see_v not_o he_o he_o see_v we_o and_o look_n on_o and_o plague_v and_o punish_v they_o and_o send_v the_o pestilence_n into_o their_o city_n and_o family_n they_o will_v not_o learn_v but_o there_o be_v other_o people_n that_o will_v worship_n jehovah_n that_o will_v fear_v the_o lord_n by_o see_v his_o judgement_n on_o other_o as_o david_n say_v when_o the_o wicked_a be_v take_v away_o as_o dross_n my_o flesh_n tremble_v for_o fear_n of_o too_o there_o be_v great_a misery_n in_o the_o city_n among_o the_o poor_a people_n and_o round_o about_o the_o city_n &_o have_v be_v these_o two_o year_n the_o plague_n scarcity_n of_o provision_n and_o other_o thing_n and_o no_o man_n doubt_n but_o it_o be_v of_o great_a consequence_n if_o the_o lord_n make_v it_o a_o blessing_n to_o we_o if_o the_o lord_n sanctify_v it_o it_o will_v be_v of_o great_a consequence_n not_o only_o to_o those_o part_n be_v the_o chief_a city_n in_o that_o part_n of_o the_o kingdom_n but_o to_o this_o city_n and_o to_o the_o whole_a state_n and_o kingdom_n i_o see_v nothing_o in_o it_o but_o great_a thing_n and_o therefore_o i_o think_v that_o he_o that_o shall_v do_v this_o for_o we_o sure_o he_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o great_a god_n that_o pull_v down_o the_o great_a pride_n of_o that_o city_n and_o the_o garrison_n in_o it_o that_o must_v throw_v down_o those_o bulwark_n as_o it_o be_v and_o therefore_o let_v we_o exalt_v god_n let_v we_o conceive_v few_o shall_v be_v slay_v or_o wound_v it_o be_v a_o wonderful_a mercy_n for_o true_o belove_v when_o there_o be_v but_o a_o few_o in_o the_o city_n when_o the_o other_o side_n seek_v it_o they_o have_v it_o not_o so_o cheap_a it_o cost_v they_o the_o life_n of_o many_o hundred_o of_o they_o but_o this_o be_v the_o lord_n goodness_n to_o his_o poor_a people_n and_o true_o we_o may_v say_v as_o david_n do_v here_o he_o have_v incline_v his_o ear_n to_o we_o and_o hear_v our_o prayer_n then_o a_o three_o blessing_n that_o i_o take_v notice_n of_o in_o it_o be_v pestilence_n 3._o in_o preserve_v it_o from_o the_o pestilence_n that_o god_n shall_v preserve_v our_o friend_n from_o the_o pestilence_n we_o always_o conceive_v that_o if_o they_o have_v that_o city_n they_o know_v not_o what_o to_o do_v with_o it_o because_o of_o the_o pestilence_n that_o may_v ruin_v and_o destroy_v the_o army_n after_o they_o have_v take_v it_o and_o as_o we_o hear_v though_o they_o be_v in_o the_o same_o house_n and_o quarter_n where_o the_o sickness_n be_v and_o have_v lie_v in_o the_o bed_n where_o man_n have_v be_v sick_a yet_o we_o hear_v little_a or_o nothing_o of_o the_o infection_n come_v among_o they_o sure_o this_o can_v be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o finger_n
and_o wealth_n that_o thou_o get_v when_o they_o poor_a brethren_n and_o sister_n be_v ready_a to_o perish_v in_o this_o time_n of_o need_n take_v heed_n it_o provoke_v god_n and_o draw_v out_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n anew_o and_o god_n know_v how_o far_o it_o will_v be_v draw_v out_o then_o also_o there_o be_v another_o thing_n that_o i_o fear_v for_o i_o saint_n 6._o breach_n and_o division_n woeful_o especial_o in_o our_o city_n these_o thing_n high_o provoke_v god_n the_o lord_n give_v we_o heart_n to_o mourn_v for_o they_o then_o there_o be_v another_o thing_n all_o along_o i_o fear_v that_o provoâ—s_v god_n that_o be_v the_o oppression_n of_o the_o poor_a saint_n oppression_n 8_o oppression_n both_o in_o soul_n and_o body_n that_o throughout_o this_o kingdom_n as_o far_o as_o ever_o i_o can_v see_v or_o hear_v in_o all_o these_o war_n in_o any_o town_n or_o city_n if_o there_o be_v half_o a_o dozen_o poor_a saint_n they_o pay_v as_o much_o as_o the_o malignant_n to_o our_o and_o their_o family_n indeed_o we_o do_v help_v one_o another_o a_o little_a in_o the_o begin_n of_o these_o trouble_n but_o now_o the_o misery_n be_v so_o many_o and_o so_o many_o be_v in_o distress_n that_o we_o do_v not_o look_v after_o they_o but_o let_v they_o do_v as_o they_o can_v and_o this_o be_v too_o rife_o in_o this_o city_n that_o we_o have_v not_o a_o constant_a care_n of_o as_o those_o in_o hertfordshire_n there_o be_v many_o and_o many_o poor_a child_n we_o have_v not_o bowel_n of_o compassion_n and_o in_o my_o apprehension_n that_o little_a there_o be_v be_v shut_v region_n in_o a_o kingdom_n that_o though_o all_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o world_n shake_v yet_o they_o receive_v a_o kingdom_n that_o can_v be_v shake_v but_o you_o will_v say_v where_o be_v this_o garrison_n that_o we_o may_v go_v into_o it_o where_o be_v this_o kingdom_n salvation_n say_v the_o prophet_n the_o lord_n shall_v appoint_v we_o for_o wall_n and_o bulwark_n that_o be_v this_o a_o presbyterian_a see_v he_o and_o say_v he_o be_v incline_v to_o independency_n then_o let_v he_o go_v and_o cut_v his_o throat_n the_o lord_n pity_v you_o that_o so_o christ_n jesus_n in_o the_o soul_n of_o people_n may_v be_v the_o object_n of_o your_o love_n be_v there_o grace_n and_o christ_n there_o be_v there_o what_o there_o will_v if_o there_o be_v not_o that_o i_o have_v nothing_o carnal_a thing_n about_o this_o and_o that_o but_o they_o about_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n you_o may_v see_v it_o glorious_o and_o then_o what_o self-deniall_n be_v there_o who_o live_v there_o by_o plunder_v and_o steal_v as_o many_o have_v do_v and_o do_v and_o then_o when_o honour_n be_v get_v how_o do_v every_o one_o study_n to_o cast_v honour_n on_o his_o brother_n and_o not_o on_o himself_o and_o study_n silence_v not_o to_o have_v his_o name_n mention_v but_o that_o god_n may_v have_v glory_n o_o it_o be_v a_o glorious_a thing_n and_o then_o what_o fidelity_n if_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o they_o of_o all_o those_o thing_n in_o that_o flame_a manner_n yet_o i_o think_v their_o fidelity_n as_o subject_n shall_v make_v they_o honourable_a how_o i_o will_v
