be_v transitory_a and_o changeable_a and_o therefore_o the_o heart_n set_v upon_o they_o must_v needs_o change_v with_o they_o 2._o while_o as_o the_o heart_n be_v inordinate_o set_v on_o the_o creature_n the_o affection_n be_v contrary_a to_o sound_v reason_n and_o our_o action_n be_v contrary_a to_o god_n and_o his_o law_n so_o during_o this_o inordinat_a love_n we_o have_v a_o war_n which_o stand_v not_o with_o peace_n 3._o as_o long_o as_o the_o heart_n do_v cleave_v inordinate_o to_o any_o creature_n there_o must_v needs_o be_v a_o continual_a fear_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o peace_n of_o the_o mind_n for_o either_o we_o fear_v that_o we_o shall_v not_o obtain_v that_o which_o we_o love_v or_o that_o we_o shall_v loss_n it_o when_o it_o be_v obtain_v or_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o recover_v it_o when_o it_o be_v lose_v either_o we_o fear_v that_o our_o will_n shall_v be_v cross_v or_o suppose_v our_o desire_n second_v we_o in_o all_o thing_n yet_o our_o guilty_a conscience_n accuse_v and_o torment_v we_o 4._o there_o be_v no_o creature_n how_o perfect_o soever_o enjoy_v by_o we_o that_o can_v give_v satisfaction_n to_o out_o soul_n without_o which_o they_o can_v have_v no_o peace_n such_o be_v the_o nobility_n of_o our_o soul_n such_o be_v the_o excellency_n of_o our_o mind_n and_o will_n that_o a_o world_n yea_o a_o thousand_o world_n know_v belove_a and_o possess_v can_v give_v they_o rest_v &_o contentment_n either_o the_o object_n delight_v in_o be_v unproportionated_a to_o the_o soul_n as_o the_o sound_n to_o the_o eye_n or_o the_o colour_n to_o the_o ear_n or_o at_o least_o be_v unable_a to_o equal_v the_o infinite_a desire_n of_o it_o this_o none_o can_v do_v but_o god_n o_o lord_n thou_o have_v make_v we_o for_o thyself_o say_v holy_a august_n and_o our_o heart_n be_v restless_a till_o they_o rest_v in_o thou_o thus_o when_o ever_o we_o will_v have_v peace_n or_o have_v our_o heart_n on_o god_n we_o must_v withdraw_v they_o from_o the_o creature_n the_o next_o thing_n that_o be_v require_v for_o stay_v our_o heart_n upon_o god_n with_o be_v that_o we_o join_v unto_o he_o by_o sincere_a love_n and_o by_o humble_a submission_n of_o our_o desire_n &_o will_n to_o he_o so_o that_o we_o love_v nothing_o but_o in_o he_o or_o for_o he_o desire_v nothing_o but_o his_o glory_n and_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o his_o will_n this_o be_v the_o solid_a way_n to_o peace_n when_o man_n will_v and_o will_v the_o same_o thing_n than_o there_o be_v true_a
