c_o 2_o r_z diev_n et_fw-fr mon_fw-fr droit_n honi_fw-fr soit_fw-fr qvi_fw-fr mal_fw-fr y_fw-fr pense_fw-fr by_o the_o king_n a_o proclamation_n charles_n r._n the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n take_v it_o into_o his_o princely_a consideration_n that_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o great_a distance_n of_o his_o city_n of_o tanger_n from_o this_o his_o kingdom_n many_o merchant_n of_o foreign_a nation_n trading_n thither_o may_v apprehend_v that_o in_o case_n of_o a_o rupture_n of_o war_n between_o his_o majesty_n and_o any_o prince_n or_o state_n who_o subject_n may_v have_v good_n or_o estate_n there_o such_o their_o estate_n may_v at_o the_o pleasure_n of_o his_o majesty_n governor_n and_o officer_n for_o the_o time_n be_v be_v liable_a unto_o seizure_n before_o notice_n and_o convenient_a time_n give_v to_o they_o for_o the_o removal_n thereof_o which_o may_v discourage_v they_o and_o bring_v great_a prejudice_n to_o the_o trade_n of_o that_o city_n which_o now_o through_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n be_v in_o a_o flourish_a condition_n his_o majesty_n for_o the_o prevention_n of_o all_o fear_n of_o that_o kind_n have_v think_v fit_a by_o the_o advice_n of_o his_o privy_a council_n and_o do_v by_o this_o his_o royal_a proclamation_n publish_v and_o declare_v that_o if_o any_o rupture_n or_o war_n shall_v at_o any_o time_n hereafter_o happen_v between_o his_o majesty_n and_o any_o other_o prince_n or_o state_n whatsoever_o yet_o the_o good_n or_o effect_n of_o the_o subject_n of_o any_o such_o prince_n or_o state_n at_o tanger_n shall_v not_o be_v seize_v or_o liable_a to_o any_o seizure_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o same_o until_o six_o month_n after_o such_o rupture_n shall_v be_v there_o publish_v and_o that_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a for_o all_o person_n concern_v without_o any_o fear_n or_o apprehension_n to_o continue_v their_o trade_n and_o estate_n at_o tanger_n until_o six_o month_n after_o any_o rupture_n shall_v be_v so_o publish_v as_o aforesaid_a and_o his_o majesty_n do_v hereby_o strict_o charge_v and_o command_v his_o governor_n of_o the_o say_a city_n and_o all_o other_o his_o officer_n and_o minister_n whatsoever_o both_o civil_a and_o military_a for_o the_o time_n be_v and_o all_o other_o his_o subject_n to_o take_v notice_n of_o this_o his_o royal_a pleasure_n and_o without_o further_a direction_n to_o see_v the_o same_o due_o observe_v give_v at_o our_o court_n at_o whitehall_n the_o thirteen_o day_n of_o january_n 1674._o in_o the_o six_o and_o twenty_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n god_n save_o the_o king_n london_n print_v by_o the_o assign_v of_o john_n bill_n and_o christopher_n barker_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n 1674._o
