throne_n or_o seat_n of_o the_o beast_n upon_o which_o the_o five_o vial_n be_v pour_v out_o or_o second_o for_o the_o citizen_n or_o for_o the_o romish_a city_n constitute_v of_o the_o pope_n and_o his_o cardinal_n and_o the_o whole_a troop_n of_o the_o romish_a clergy_n who_o rome_n be_v destroy_v burn_v to_o ash_n and_o level_v to_o the_o ground_n not_o to_o be_v inhabit_v any_o more_o shall_v betake_v themselves_o to_o another_o habitation_n and_o so_o shall_v be_v reserve_v to_o the_o last_o vial_n at_o the_o pour_v out_o of_o which_o it_o be_v say_v beside_o the_o destruction_n of_o other_o of_o all_o land_n nation_n and_o city_n in_o this_o earthquake_n so_o great_a as_o never_o be_v such_o since_o man_n be_v upon_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n great_a babylon_n come_v into_o remembrance_n before_o god_n to_o give_v unto_o she_o the_o cup_n of_o the_o wine_n of_o the_o fierceness_n of_o his_o wrath_n for_o that_o burn_a and_o destruction_n of_o babylon_n take_v for_o the_o royal_a city_n of_o
the_o beast_n that_o be_v describe_v chap._n 18_o and_o 19_o do_v altogether_o precede_v the_o destruction_n of_o the_o beast_n and_o the_o false_a prophet_n as_o be_v manifest_a in_o the_o text._n to_o sum_v up_o all_o in_o a_o word_n happy_o it_o may_v so_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o that_o first_o destruction_n of_o babylon_n viz._n of_o the_o city_n of_o rome_n may_v be_v without_o any_o as_o to_o say_v man_n of_o name_n a_o hypallage_n frequent_a in_o scripture_n as_o silver_n shekel_n for_o shekel_n of_o silver_n levit._n 5._o the_o law_n of_o righteousness_n for_o the_o name_v of_o man_n signify_v high_a and_o great_a person_n suppose_v they_o be_v of_o the_o popish_a ecclesiastical_a order_n who_o we_o call_v church_n man_n by_o great_a name_n and_o title_n distinguish_v from_o the_o inferior_a clergy_n if_o 7000_o of_o these_o be_v slay_v how_o many_o of_o a_o low_a rank_n and_o order_n which_o the_o holy_a ghost_n will_v not_o so_o much_o as_o count_v or_o reckon_v beside_o this_o there_o may_v another_o interpretation_n be_v give_v of_o name_n of_o man_n viz._n company_n and_o society_n of_o man_n which_o be_v wont_a to_o be_v call_v by_o proper_a name_n as_o well_o as_o particular_a man_n as_o city_n town_n parish_n village_n monastery_n and_o nunnery_n and_o what_o be_v these_o if_o we_o consider_v the_o matter_n but_o name_n of_o man_n as_o the_o roman_a name_n be_v put_v for_o the_o roman_n themselves_o the_o theban_a polity_n be_v call_v the_o theban_a name_n what_o be_v therefore_o the_o name_n of_o those_o humane_a society_n whether_o they_o be_v either_o of_o rome_n or_o in_o that_o they_o call_v the_o church_n state_n be_v the_o 7000_o in_o this_o great_a earthquake_n to_o be_v slay_v i._n e._n subdue_v by_o the_o adverse_a power_n which_o the_o scripture_n use_v to_o call_v death_n but_o we_o must_v not_o rash_o determine_v any_o thing_n in_o a_o thing_n to_o come_v the_o best_a commentary_n of_o a_o prophecy_n be_v the_o fulfil_n of_o it_o but_o i_o bring_v these_o thing_n to_o show_v that_o of_o these_o word_n a_o large_a sense_n may_v be_v give_v then_o be_v common_o conceive_v when_o the_o when_o after_o this_o time_n so_o great_a a_o part_n of_o the_o beast_n still_o remain_v not_o to_o be_v quite_o abolish_v till_o the_o beginning_n of_o the_o seven_o trumpet_n it_o may_v be_v answer_v answ_n this_o may_v be_v either_o because_o at_o the_o call_n of_o the_o jew_n there_o call_v the_o king_n from_o the_o east_n a_o new_a kingdom_n begin_v or_o because_o in_o the_o duration_n of_o the_o beast_n reign_v there_o be_v a_o eye_n or_o respect_n chief_o to_o the_o empire_n of_o the_o city_n of_o rome_n but_o now_o this_o great_a royal_a city_n of_o the_o beast_n in_o this_o earthquake_n be_v take_v &_o demolish_v so_o that_o the_o beast_n from_o thenceforth_o shall_v have_v change_v his_o form_n when_o he_o be_v drive_v from_o his_o metropolis_n it_o can_v no_o long_o be_v count_v which_o be_v the_o signification_n of_o his_o other_o seven_o head_n a_o seven-mountained_n kingdom_n behold_v the_o three_o woe_n come_v quick_o this_o begin_v at_o the_o sound_n of_o
