offer_v to_o uphold_v that_o former_a way_n of_o worship_n after_o he_o have_v by_o his_o own_o personal_a presence_n and_o spirit_n bring_v in_o that_o other_o dispensation_n all_o which_o i_o say_v will_v be_v answer_v by_o our_o second_o and_o new-testament_n new_a jerusalem_n for_o as_o the_o old_a jerusalem_n be_v build_v after_o the_o jew_n be_v come_v out_o of_o literal_a babylon_n so_o be_v our_o new_a jerusalem_n build_v after_o our_o come_n out_o of_o the_o antichristian_a oppression_n of_o spiritual_a babylon_n again_o as_o that_o city_n do_v after_o she_o be_v build_v continue_v and_o retain_v her_o temple-worship_n until_o the_o personal_a appear_v of_o christ_n the_o first_o time_n so_o new_a jerusalem_n shall_v retain_v and_o hold_v her_o outward_a new-testament-worship_n till_o he_o come_v in_o person_n the_o second_o time_n after_o all_o which_o as_o the_o second_o temple_n be_v swallow_v up_o of_o a_o more_o heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a dispensation_n by_o the_o personal_a presence_n of_o christ_n so_o shall_v also_o the_o new_a jerusalem_n temple-worship_n be_v swallow_v up_o by_o the_o glory_n of_o the_o appear_v of_o the_o person_n of_o christ_n the_o second_o time_n as_o paul_n say_v for_o he_o speak_v in_o the_o person_n of_o christ_n till_o i_o come_v give_v attendance_n to_o read_v to_o exhortation_n to_o doctrine_n etc._n etc._n 1_o tim._n 4._o 13._o thus_o then_o when_o this_o holy_a city_n do_v once_o again_o appear_v upon_o the_o stage_n and_o in_o she_o own_o situation_n and_o when_o she_o have_v be_v show_v in_o the_o attire_n of_o swallow_v up_o of_o life_n as_o be_v yet_o more_o full_o show_v you_o in_o the_o next_o verse_n of_o this_o description_n vers._n 23._o and_o the_o city_n have_v no_o need_n of_o the_o sun_n nor_o of_o the_o moon_n to_o shine_v in_o it_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n do_v lighten_v it_o and_o the_o lamb_n be_v the_o light_n thereof_o and_o the_o city_n have_v no_o need_n of_o the_o sun_n be_v the_o temple_n of_o it_o and_o here_o he_o say_v they_o be_v the_o light_n thereof_o the_o substance_n of_o which_o in_o the_o language_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n be_v this_o the_o reason_n why_o temple-worship_n be_v now_o go_v and_o over_o it_o be_v because_o there_o be_v now_o no_o need_n in_o this_o city_n of_o the_o light_n of_o the_o sun_n and_o the_o moon_n and_o the_o reason_n why_o she_o have_v now_o no_o need_n of_o they_o be_v because_o the_o lord_n god_n almighty_a and_o the_o lamb_n be_v to_o it_o instead_o of_o both_o temple_n and_o light_n for_o the_o lord_n god_n almighty_a and_o the_o lamb_n be_v the_o temple_n of_o it_o for_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n do_v lighten_v it_o and_o the_o lamb_n be_v the_o light_n thereof_o whereby_o we_o may_v note_v that_o though_o the_o light_n in_o which_o she_o descend_v be_v the_o purity_n of_o temple-worship_n be_v glorious_a yet_o this_o city_n shall_v when_o she_o be_v once_o build_v so_o advance_v from_o glory_n to_o glory_n that_o at_o the_o last_o she_o shall_v be_v more_o happy_a without_o the_o help_n of_o that_o light_n without_o which_o she_o have_v be_v for_o ever_o unbuild_v than_o she_o be_v by_o it_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fullness_n of_o it_o and_o the_o city_n have_v no_o need_n of_o the_o sun_n etc._n etc._n the_o word_n sun_n be_v in_o scripture_n take_v divers_a way_n sometime_o not_o to_o be_v any_o of_o these_o but_o for_o the_o good_a and_o pure_a word_n of_o the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n unfold_v open_v and_o explain_v by_o the_o servant_n of_o christ_n which_o sun_n be_v the_o same_o that_o before_o you_o find_v to_o be_v darken_v by_o the_o antichristian_a fog_n and_o mist_n which_o be_v darken_v i_o say_v even_o to_o a_o three_o part_n 2._o of_o it_o this_o sun_n or_o word_n of_o the_o gospel_n paul_n say_v it_o be_v shadow_v forth_o even_o by_o that_o which_o shine_v in_o the_o firmament_n of_o heaven_n because_o as_o that_o by_o its_o light_n and_o shine_a give_v to_o those_o that_o have_v eye_n to_o see_v the_o glory_n and_o excellency_n of_o this_o world_n so_o by_o the_o shine_a and_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n be_v give_v the_o light_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o the_o face_n 4._o of_o jesus_n christ_n and_o a_o view_n of_o the_o excellency_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v now_o i_o say_v though_o while_o the_o church_n be_v in_o this_o world_n and_o on_o this_o side_n the_o state_n of_o glory_n she_o can_v live_v and_o flourish_v without_o the_o shine_a of_o this_o sun_n but_o will_v be_v lifeless_a and_o lightless_a and_o without_o all_o heat_n and_o comfort_n for_o it_o be_v the_o entrance_n of_o the_o law_n that_o give_v light_a here_o 130_o and_o that_o lighten_v the_o eye_n make_v wise_a the_o simple_a yet_o at_o the_o day_n of_o the_o come_n of_o her_o lord_n in_o person_n she_o shall_v see_v far_o more_o clear_o without_o the_o thus_o shine_v of_o this_o sun_n than_o ever_o she_o do_v or_o can_v see_v with_o and_o by_o it_o and_o the_o city_n have_v no_o need_n of_o the_o sun_n for_o when_o by_o the_o light_n of_o it_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o elect_n have_v find_v out_o the_o way_n to_o this_o city_n and_o when_o they_o have_v also_o by_o this_o light_n accomplish_v and_o fulfil_v all_o their_o work_n yea_o when_o the_o lord_n himself_o be_v come_v and_o do_v immediate_o communicate_v far_o more_o glorious_a light_n to_o this_o city_n without_o it_o than_o ever_o he_o do_v by_o it_o what_o need_n be_v there_o then_o of_o the_o light_n of_o this_o sun_n for_o that_o be_v to_o be_v of_o use_n but_o for_o the_o time_n present_a even_o until_o the_o whole_a of_o the_o body_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n be_v come_v to_o the_o perfect_a measure_n even_o to_o the_o measure_n of_o the_o stature_n of_o the_o fullness_n of_o 12._o christ_n so_o then_o when_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n be_v in_o every_o sense_n complete_v in_o this_o here_o no_o need_n of_o the_o shine_a light_n of_o the_o moon_n he_o mean_v that_o this_o city_n at_o this_o day_n in_o the_o state_n she_o be_v in_o when_o she_o have_v the_o person_n of_o the_o that_o rule_n in_o the_o church_n and_o in_o the_o world_n as_o become_v he_o who_o be_v the_o head_n of_o the_o body_n and_o over_o all_o principality_n and_o 14._o power_n these_o shall_v make_v
