flee_v for_o the_o safety_n of_o his_o life_n answ._n there_o be_v two_o kind_n of_o persecution_n one_o that_o be_v direct_o intend_v against_o the_o pastor_n principal_o the_o other_o against_o the_o whole_a church_n equal_o in_o the_o persecution_n direct_v against_o the_o pastor_n this_o must_v be_v consider_v whether_o god_n give_v he_o opportunity_n and_o liberty_n to_o fly_v or_o not_o against_o the_o foundation_n which_o the_o church_n long_o ago_o condemn_v by_o apostolical_a and_o judicial_a authority_n again_o here_o we_o learn_v what_o to_o judge_v of_o this_o our_o church_n of_o england_n many_o there_o be_v that_o say_v we_o have_v no_o church_n among_o we_o because_o some_o private_a man_n have_v reprove_v the_o same_o for_o some_o thing_n that_o be_v amiss_o and_o yet_o they_o be_v not_o reform_v but_o this_o be_v a_o fond_a and_o foolish_a reason_n for_o first_o the_o error_n must_v be_v against_o the_o foundation_n and_o yet_o that_o make_v not_o a_o church_n to_o be_v no_o church_n unless_o it_o be_v obstinate_o maintain_v after_o sufficient_a reproof_n and_o judicial_a conviction_n by_o the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o no_o such_o thing_n can_v be_v and_o approbation_n that_o may_v be_v give_v to_o idol_n be_v it_o never_o so_o little_a these_o nicolaitan_o may_v say_v they_o abhor_v idol_n and_o worship_v they_o not_o only_o they_o go_v with_o their_o friend_n into_o their_o temple_n and_o sit_v down_o to_o eat_v meat_n before_o they_o now_o even_o this_o deal_n christ_n hate_v wherein_o he_o do_v notable_o condemn_v the_o practice_n of_o the_o romish_a church_n which_o say_v they_o worship_v not_o idol_n but_o the_o true_a god_n and_o yet_o they_o do_v that_o which_o christ_n hate_v for_o they_o kneel_v down_o before_o they_o they_o adore_v they_o and_o light_a candle_n unto_o they_o and_o offer_v unto_o they_o many_o rich_a jewel_n and_o much_o sumptuous_a attire_n which_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o than_o the_o nicolaitan_o do_v and_o therefore_o they_o be_v much_o more_o to_o be_v condemn_v and_o their_o practice_n also_o hate_v of_o us._n second_o christ_n hatred_n of_o the_o lest_o honour_n of_o idol_n do_v afford_v a_o special_a caveat_n to_o such_o man_n as_o give_v themselves_o to_o a_o travel_a life_n as_o into_o italy_n spain_n and_o other_o idolatrous_a place_n they_o shall_v content_v themselves_o within_o the_o precinct_n of_o the_o church_n and_o not_o proceed_v further_o without_o warrant_n of_o a_o special_a call_n whereby_o they_o may_v assure_v themselves_o of_o god_n gracious_a protection_n for_o
