whether_o it_o be_v in_o the_o palatinate_n in_o france_n in_o the_o low_a country_n or_o in_o any_o country_n in_o the_o world_n if_o he_o hear_v that_o the_o church_n have_v a_o blow_n it_o strike_v to_o the_o heart_n of_o any_o man_n that_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o they_o by_o a_o sympathetic_a suffering_n it_o be_v one_o good_a sign_n to_o know_v whether_o a_o man_n be_v of_o the_o mystical_a body_n or_o no_o to_o take_v to_o heart_n the_o grievance_n of_o the_o church_n as_o good_a nehemiah_n do_v he_o will_v not_o take_v comfort_n in_o the_o pleasure_n of_o a_o court_n in_o the_o king_n of_o babylon_n court_n when_o it_o go_v not_o well_o with_o his_o country_n when_o the_o church_n be_v in_o distress_n he_o take_v their_o grievance_n to_o heart_n so_o moses_n the_o very_a joy_n of_o pharaoh_n court_n can_v not_o please_v he_o when_o he_o consider_v the_o abasement_n of_o his_o countryman_n he_o join_v with_o they_o and_o it_o be_v call_v the_o rebuke_n of_o and_o the_o covenant_n between_o day_n and_o night_n than_o this_o league_n of_o suffering_n and_o comfort_n the_o one_o must_v be_v before_o the_o other_o it_o be_v so_o in_o our_o head_n christ_n he_o suffer_v and_o then_o enter_v into_o his_o glory_n so_o all_o his_o member_n must_v be_v comfortable_a to_o he_o in_o suffering_n we_o and_o then_o enter_v into_o their_o glory_n the_o reason_n great_a or_o i_o hope_v steadfast_o to_o live_v long_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o thing_n be_v uncertain_a the_o state_n of_o the_o world_n be_v vanity_n and_o life_n itself_o and_o all_o thing_n here_o will_v not_o admit_v of_o a_o certain_a apprehension_n for_o the_o certainty_n in_o a_o man_n understanding_n it_o follow_v the_o certainty_n of_o the_o thing_n or_o else_o there_o be_v no_o adequation_n when_o there_o be_v a_o evenness_n in_o the_o apprehension_n to_o the_o thing_n than_o it_o be_v true_a but_o if_o we_o apprehend_v any_o thing_n that_o be_v here_o that_o either_o riches_n or_o life_n or_o favour_n will_v be_v thus_o or_o thus_o long_o it_o be_v no_o true_a apprehension_n we_o can_v build_v a_o certain_a hope_n upon_o a_o uncertain_a ground_n but_o of_o divine_a truth_n we_o can_v say_v if_o we_o see_v the_o one_o undoubted_o the_o other_o will_v follow_v if_o we_o see_v the_o sign_n of_o grace_n in_o any_o man_n that_o he_o be_v strong_a to_o endure_v any_o disgrace_n for_o religion_n any_o discomfort_n than_o we_o may_v say_v certain_o as_o you_o partake_v of_o the_o affliction_n of_o christ_n and_o of_o the_o affliction_n and_o glorify_v with_o he_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v rom._n 8._o all_o these_o be_v ground_n to_o found_v this_o steadfast_a hope_n on_o and_o then_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n he_o be_v a_o just_a god_n a_o holy_a god_n and_o when_o we_o have_v take_v the_o ill_a we_o shall_v find_v the_o sweet_a as_o in_o 2_o thess._n 1._o it_o be_v just_a with_o god_n to_o render_v to_o they_o that_o afflict_v you_o trouble_v and_o to_o you_o comfort_n god_n have_v pawn_v his_o justice_n upon_o it_o and_o he_o will_v observe_v this_o order_n where_o he_o begin_v in_o trouble_n he_o will_v end_v in_o have_v his_o physician_n come_v to_o he_o christian_n who_o he_o know_v to_o be_v wise_a and_o speak_v by_o his_o book_n to_o say_v to_o he_o be_v of_o good_a comfort_n you_o shall_v never_o die_v of_o this_o disease_n this_o that_o i_o give_v you_o will_v do_v you_o good_a there_o be_v never_o any_o that_o take_v this_o potion_n but_o they_o recover_v will_v not_o this_o revive_v the_o be_v of_o good_a comfort_n there_o be_v good_a intend_a to_o you_o your_o suffering_n shall_v end_v in_o comfort_n undoubted_o we_o may_v well_o be_v persuade_v of_o this_o god_n will_v never_o vary_v endure_v the_o cross_n patient_o whatsoever_o it_o be_v it_o be_v a_o bitter_a cup_n but_o it_o be_v out_o of_o a_o father_n hand_n it_o be_v out_o of_o a_o sweet_a hand_n there_o may_v be_v a_o miscarry_v in_o other_o physic_n but_o god_n physic_n shall_v certain_o do_v we_o good_a god_n have_v say_v it_o all_o thing_n shall_v work_v for_o the_o best_a to_o those_o that_o love_v he_o he_o
