and_o necessary_a power_n which_o the_o apostle_n have_v be_v not_o commit_v to_o inferior_a bishop_n but_o to_o superior_a here_o it_o may_v be_v object_v that_o by_o this_o reason_n bishop_n superior_a can_v be_v the_o apostle_n successor_n because_o they_o do_v not_o exercise_v their_o power_n and_o authority_n without_o the_o concurrence_n of_o the_o inferior_a bishop_n they_o join_v with_o they_o in_o the_o ordination_n of_o minister_n so_o they_o shall_v also_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o jurisdiction_n answer_n there_o be_v no_o warrant_n for_o this_o in_o the_o scripture_n it_o be_v true_a we_o read_v the_o apostle_n take_v the_o concurrence_n of_o minister_n in_o decision_n of_o doubt_n and_o controversy_n and_o also_o in_o ordination_n so_o paul_n say_v that_o timothy_n be_v ordain_v by_o the_o presbytery_n but_o there_o be_v no_o direction_n from_o christ_n for_o so_o do_v it_o please_v the_o apostle_n to_o take_v their_o concurrence_n which_o they_o need_v not_o to_o have_v do_v and_o therefore_o they_o do_v sometime_o exercise_v their_o episcopal_a power_n by_o themselves_o alone_o as_o we_o may_v see_v in_o the_o act_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o 2_o tim._n 1.6_o and_o many_o other_o place_n of_o scripture_n and_o do_v very_o seldom_o crave_v the_o concurrence_n of_o presbyter_n so_o that_o bishop_n do_v not_o exercise_v their_o power_n without_o the_o concurrence_n of_o presbyter_n it_o be_v not_o because_o they_o be_v command_v so_o to_o do_v by_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n but_o their_o own_o voluntary_a yield_n of_o their_o right_n and_o submit_v of_o themselves_o to_o their_o own_o ecclesiastic_a law_n and_o canon_n of_o ancient_a counsel_n it_o be_v as_o clear_a as_o the_o sun_n that_o a_o elder_n have_v no_o power_n of_o ordination_n or_o jurisdiction_n grant_v to_o he_o in_o the_o scripture_n what_o he_o have_v it_o be_v but_o by_o humane_a ordination_n and_o he_o have_v not_o in_o any_o way_n supreme_a power_n grant_v he_o by_o any_o ancient_a council_n this_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o a_o bishop_n ordination_n be_v valid_a and_o good_a without_o a_o presbyter_n and_o have_v warrant_n from_o the_o example_n of_o the_o apostle_n but_o a_o presbyter_n to_o ordain_v without_o the_o command_n of_o a_o bishop_n be_v not_o warrant_v by_o any_o example_n in_o scripture_n nor_o the_o canon_n of_o any_o ancient_a council_n and_o so_o my_o conclusion_n stand_v good_a that_o inferior_a bishop_n be_v not_o the_o successor_n of_o the_o apostle_n my_o three_o reason_n be_v this_o they_o who_o be_v inferior_a to_o those_o in_o dignity_n and_o degree_n who_o be_v inferior_a to_o the_o apostle_n in_o place_n and_o estimation_n be_v not_o the_o apostle_n successor_n in_o all_o the_o part_n of_o the_o ministerial_a function_n but_o presbyter_n be_v inferior_a in_o dignity_n and_o degree_n to_o those_o who_o be_v inferior_a to_o the_o apostle_n in_o place_n and_o estimation_n and_o therefore_o presbyter_n be_v not_o successor_n to_o the_o apostle_n in_o all_o the_o part_n of_o the_o ministerial_a function_n the_o proposition_n i_o know_v will_v be_v grant_v i_o prove_v the_o assumption_n that_o presbyter_n be_v inferior_a in_o dignity_n and_o degree_n to_o those_o who_o be_v inferior_a to_o the_o apostle_n in_o place_n and_o estimation_n timothy_n and_o titus_n be_v inferior_a to_o the_o apostle_n in_o place_n and_o estimation_n so_o be_v all_o the_o evangelist_n as_o all_o divine_n acknowledge_v and_o yet_o those_o be_v superior_a in_o dignity_n and_o degree_n even_o in_o the_o judgement_n of_o those_o who_o oppose_v the_o doctrine_n deliver_v in_o this_o treatise_n that_o timothy_n and_o titus_n be_v superior_a to_o presbyter_n i_o shall_v prove_v it_o by_o and_o by_o but_o i_o will_v use_v one_o argument_n yet_o for_o the_o ordinary_a calling_n of_o apostle_n and_o evangelist_n and_o this_o it_o be_v brief_o either_o the_o calling_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o ordinary_a minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n by_o christ_n institution_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v as_o absurd_a to_o say_v that_o the_o calling_n of_o apostle_n and_o evangelist_n be_v not_o ordinary_a calling_n i_o desire_v all_o those_o who_o oppose_v this_o doctrine_n to_o loose_v this_o knot_n now_o it_o remain_v to_o prove_v that_o the_o bishop_n succeed_v in_o place_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o in_o place_n of_o evangelist_n inferior_a presbyter_n
and_o neither_o of_o thing_n present_a nor_o bypass_a three_o the_o high_a priest_n as_o he_o be_v chief_a governor_n he_o can_v not_o be_v a_o type_n and_o figure_n of_o christ_n because_o if_o be_v the_o god_n of_o order_n now_o i_o be_o sure_a as_o well_o as_o he_o be_v then_o now_o nothing_o that_o be_v moral_a be_v typical_a and_o therefore_o aaron_n be_v not_o a_o type_n and_o figure_n
