to_o yield_v consent_n to_o the_o church_n in_o fundamental_o 2._o when_o this_o be_v do_v how_o few_o be_v there_o of_o the_o learned_a that_o can_v say_v they_o be_v certain_a without_o some_o doubt_n that_o what_o the_o church_n propose_v be_v false_a be_v not_o all_o the_o rest_n then_o who_o be_v not_o infallible_o certain_a to_o be_v teach_v that_o they_o must_v in_o nonfundamentals_a subscribe_v to_o the_o church-decisions_a why_o labour_v we_o then_o more_o to_o free_a then_o subjugate_v man_n judgement_n 3._o but_o then_o for_o a_o private_a man_n be_v infallible_o certain_a upon_o which_o the_o reform_a opinion_n seem_v to_o build_v much_o methinks_v this_o concession_n of_o the_o scripture_n which_o he_o read_v to_o be_v the_o infallible_a word_n of_o god_n be_v not_o enough_o for_o his_o certainty_n almost_o in_o any_o point_n because_o there_o must_v be_v a_o compare_v of_o scripture_n and_o a_o not_o interpret_n of_o some_o place_n so_o that_o other_o place_n contradict_v and_o because_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n may_v be_v diverse_o take_v though_o he_o be_v to_o judge_v only_o of_o one_o place_n by_o itself_o beside_o there_o be_v many_o degree_n of_o seem_a certainty_n and_o it_o be_v hard_a to_o know_v when_o it_o be_v a_o presumption_n only_o and_o when_o a_o true_a certainty_n that_o man_n be_v ordinary_o deceive_v in_o make_v this_o judgement_n be_v plain_a because_o two_o contradict_v one_o another_o will_v often_o both_o affirm_v that_o they_o be_v infallible_o certain_a the_o think_n one_o self_n infallible_o certain_a mostwhat_o arise_v from_o know_v no_o objection_n of_o any_o difficulty_n to_o the_o contrary_a which_o objection_n as_o one_o afterward_o discover_v so_o his_o former_a certainty_n by_o degree_n abate_v hence_o we_o see_v the_o great_a scholar_n many_o time_n dubious_a when_o the_o ignorant_a be_v either_o certain_a or_o strong_o confident_a four_o text_n of_o scripture_n that_o seem_v church_n and_o so_o many_o doctor_n be_v so_o they_o also_o all_o agree_v in_o their_o certainty_n so_o that_o all_o proof_n of_o certainty_n to_o be_v have_v in_o divine_a truth_n rather_o strengthen_v the_o argument_n for_o obedience_n to_o the_o church_n and_o she_o deal_v but_o with_o we_o in_o our_o own_o kind_n if_o she_o plead_v infallibility_n to_o require_v our_o submission_n to_o she_o even_o in_o nonfundamentals_a as_o we_o do_v plead_v infallibility_n to_o avoid_v it_o as_o for_o those_o objection_n which_o the_o reform_a opinion_n make_v objection_n 1._o that_o possible_o a_o national_a or_o provincial_a synod_n may_v or_o also_o have_v broach_v some_o new_a mischievous_a tenet_n the_o contrary_a to_o which_o tenet_n neither_o the_o creed_n express_o nor_o always_o ground_v on_o the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o word_n of_o god_n be_v infallible_a yet_o be_v it_o not_o necessary_a that_o every_o one_o who_o have_v true_a faith_n do_v know_v that_o it_o be_v infallible_a or_o be_v infallible_o certain_a of_o it_o for_o many_o have_v save_v faith_n doubtless_o that_o learn_v this_o word_n of_o god_n only_o from_o a_o fallible_a man_n suppose_v from_o their_o father_n or_o from_o their_o pastor_n neither_o be_v it_o necessary_a that_o this_o faith_n shall_v be_v receive_v from_o another_o person_n infallible_a beside_o god_n nor_o that_o it_o 1_o cor._n 1._o 10._o rom._n 12._o 16_o 18._o rom._n 15._o 5_o 6._o phil._n 1._o 27._o phil._n 2._o 2_o 3._o 1_o pet._n 3._o 8._o where_o speak_v the_o same_o thing_n and_o be_v join_v in_o the_o same_o judgement_n contend_v for_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n with_o one_o mind_n glorify_v god_n with_o one_o mind_n and_o one_o mouth_n etc._n etc._n argue_v a_o unity_n require_v not_o only_o of_o charity_n but_o of_o opinion_n and_o judgement_n and_o that_o not_o only_o in_o fundamental_o in_o which_o as_o i_o say_v all_o the_o factious_a corinthian_n or_o most_o of_o they_o accord_v but_o other_o beneficial_a truth_n which_o union_n how_o can_v so_o many_o judgement_n independent_a of_o one_o another_o attain_v but_o by_o all_o of_o they_o retain_v the_o same_o doctrine_n of_o their_o pastor_n or_o pastor_n 4_o if_o these_o point_n wherein_o the_o reform_v recede_v from_o the_o authority_n of_o superior_a council_n be_v not_o very_o necessary_a though_o not_o fundamental_a how_o can_v a_o separation_n for_o they_o be_v justify_v but_o if_o necessary_a why_o shall_v we_o say_v that_o god_n require_v not_o a_o unity_n of_o faith_n in_o they_o 5_o again_o as_o faith_n and_o charity_n secure_v not_o our_o salvation_n if_o we_o be_v guilty_a of_o some_o other_o vice_n adultery_n &c_n &c_n so_o they_o do_v not_o secure_v it_o if_o there_o be_v any_o denial_n of_o obedience_n where_o it_o be_v due_a especial_o to_o the_o church_n disobedience_n towards_o who_o be_v in_o a_o more_o special_a manner_n disobedience_n to_o christ_n and_o to_o god_n himself_o and_o why_o may_v not_o this_o then_o endanger_v we_o if_o god_n have_v provide_v teacher_n to_o keep_v we_o in_o the_o same_o judgement_n and_o we_o to_o the_o great_a hurt_n both_o follow_v if_o therefore_o there_o be_v a_o church_n catholic_n in_o those_o day_n that_o have_v or_o exercise_v any_o authority_n and_o this_o i_o think_v we_o confess_v in_o our_o creed_n sure_o such_o tenet_n be_v establish_v by_o it_o neither_o can_v we_o acknowledge_v one_o holy_a and_o apostolic_a church_n in_o those_o time_n save_v only_o that_o by_o who_o such_o thing_n be_v use_v and_o mistake_v scripture_n and_o the_o former_a church_n yourselves_o and_o why_o may_v i_o not_o say_v again_o to_o you_o suppose_v that_o she_o err_v in_o fundamental_o where_o be_v you_o that_o in_o these_o do_v follow_v her_o judgement_n yes_o but_o the_o fundamental_o she_o direct_v i_o in_o be_v more_o plain_o set_v down_o in_o scripture_n well_o then_o since_o you_o may_v not_o judge_n against_o she_o in_o the_o plain_a may_v you_o in_o other_o thing_n less_o plain_a but_o say_v you_o our_o saviour_n have_v promise_v in_o these_o she_o shall_v not_o err_v then_o you_o need_v not_o fear_v err_v with_o she_o in_o the_o rest_n for_o be_v truth_n in_o the_o rest_n so_o necessary_a as_o you_o pretend_v god_n can_v and_o will_v here_o also_o have_v make_v she_o a_o infallible_a
