she_o so_o terrifi_v her_o adversary_n especial_o false_a teacher_n who_o will_v defile_v she_o with_o corrupt_a doctrine_n that_o they_o dare_v not_o so_o much_o as_o touch_v she_o otherwise_o or_o further_o then_o as_o god_n permit_v and_o appoint_v second_o when_o as_o in_o regard_n of_o her_o disobedient_a child_n she_o wound_v they_o by_o the_o word_n and_o discipline_n for_o a_o while_n that_o by_o repentance_n they_o may_v be_v heal_v and_o holpen_v for_o ever_o against_o the_o subtlety_n of_o satan_n and_o the_o strength_n of_o sin_n she_o not_o strike_v they_o thereby_o to_o confound_v they_o no_o more_o than_o god_n do_v strike_v his_o child_n by_o his_o rod_n to_o overthrow_v they_o for_o ever_o but_o to_o reconcile_v they_o to_o their_o eternal_a comfort_n &_o prevail_v upon_o a_o army_n consist_v of_o innumerable_a and_o valiant_a people_n so_o be_v it_o as_o hard_o yea_o altogether_o impossible_a to_o prevail_v against_o the_o church_n sith_o it_o be_v of_o such_o strength_n power_n and_o faith_n as_o though_o it_o may_v be_v assault_v yet_o it_o can_v never_o be_v overcome_v see_v the_o like_a phrase_n to_o this_o vers_n 7._o of_o this_o chapter_n declare_v both_o that_o so_o she_o may_v know_v there_o be_v no_o love_n lose_v and_o also_o that_o she_o may_v be_v comfort_v in_o the_o heaviness_n she_o be_v in_o i_o know_v that_o other_o do_v otherwise_o turn_v this_o part_n of_o the_o verse_n as_o thus_o turn_v away_o thy_o eye_n from_o i_o for_o they_o be_v strong_a than_o i_o or_o they_o overcome_v i_o give_v also_o this_o sense_n that_o christ_n will_v have_v the_o church_n to_o cast_v her_o eye_n from_o he_o because_o he_o can_v hardly_o keep_v himself_o from_o show_v again_o most_o manifest_a token_n of_o his_o love_n etc._n etc._n but_o the_o other_o in_o my_o mind_n be_v most_o simple_a and_o plain_a not_o only_o agree_v best_o with_o the_o circumstance_n and_o occasion_n of_o the_o place_n and_o purpose_n of_o christ_n but_o also_o stand_v well_o with_o the_o meaning_n of_o the_o hebrew_n word_n which_o may_v and_o do_v as_o well_o signify_v to_o turn_v to_o as_o to_o turn_v from_o and_o in_o this_o verse_n rather_o to_o turn_v to_o because_o afterwards_o in_o this_o chapter_n also_o verse_n 10._o the_o lord_n call_v the_o church_n unto_o he_o this_o be_v then_o the_o meaning_n that_o i_o take_v this_o first_o part_n of_o the_o verse_n to_o contain_v in_o it_o the_o word_n of_o comfort_n and_o consolation_n q._n d._n be_v of_o good_a comfort_n and_o in_o a_o assure_a faith_n look_v up_o to_o i_o y_z t_z again_o in_o the_o gladsomeness_n and_o joy_n thereof_o thy_o hair_n be_v like_o the_o flock_n of_o goat_n which_o look_v down_o from_o gilead_n this_o be_v already_o expound_v before_o chapter_n 4._o 1._o spiritual_o by_o this_o may_v be_v mean_v either_o the_o multitude_n of_o believer_n or_o the_o abundance_n of_o god_n grace_n bestow_v upon_o the_o church_n or_o else_o he_o mean_v that_o the_o and_o glorious_a by_o the_o gift_n and_o grace_n of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n bestow_v upon_o she_o the_o joint_n of_o thy_o thigh_n from_o y_o e_o foot_n he_o ascend_v upward_o mean_v as_o it_o may_v appear_v by_o that_o which_o follow_v that_o they_o be_v very_o cunning_o and_o artificial_o make_v we_o must_v imagine_v here_o nothing_o but_o spiritual_a namely_o that_o there_o be_v &_o be_v a_o that_o not_o only_o of_o congruity_n but_o of_o condignity_n and_o worthiness_n as_o they_o say_v in_o their_o school_n yea_o and_o that_o there_o be_v work_n of_o supererogation_n also_o what_o
