which_o speak_v by_o david_n call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o dog-bramble_n which_o be_v the_o worst_a 23.2_o and_o most_o hurtful_a of_o all_o briar_n and_o thorn_n which_o god_n lay_v as_o a_o curse_n upon_o the_o earth_n for_o man_n sin_n gen._n 3.18_o hence_o this_o doctrine_n natural_o arise_v that_o every_o band_n company_n and_o faction_n of_o wicked_a man_n whether_o evil_a counsellor_n unjust_a judge_n and_o corrupt_a officer_n doctrine_n 1_o in_o a_o church_n or_o state_n or_o wicked_a instrument_n and_o man_n of_o violence_n conspire_v and_o work_v with_o they_o to_o do_v hurt_v and_o mischief_n to_o god_n people_n and_o to_o persecute_v his_o church_n be_v certain_o most_o hurtful_a and_o dangerous_a even_o a_o curse_n and_o plague_n in_o the_o land_n second_o in_o that_o all_o of_o all_o sort_n more_o or_o less_o able_a to_o do_v mischief_n doctrine_n 2_o combine_v and_o band_v together_o in_o such_o faction_n be_v call_v the_o thorn_n or_o prick_n of_o the_o curse_a bramble_n hence_o flow_v the_o second_o doctrine_n viz._n that_o all_o person_n in_o every_o such_o band_n or_o faction_n work_v together_o against_o god_n church_n and_o people_n whether_o they_o be_v more_o or_o less_o pernicious_a and_o able_a to_o do_v mischief_n whether_o hypocrite_n work_v under_o hand_n or_o open_a profess_a persecutor_n they_o be_v all_o sharer_n in_o the_o same_o wickedness_n with_o the_o worst_a and_o most_o malignant_a of_o that_o curse_a crew_n and_o shall_v perish_v in_o the_o same_o destruction_n three_o in_o that_o it_o be_v here_o say_v of_o the_o righteous_a that_o before_o doctrine_n 3_o they_o feel_v the_o prick_n of_o the_o bramble_n god_n will_v take_v away_o every_o one_o both_o green_a and_o dry_a more_o or_o less_o grievous_a and_o prick_a and_o hurtful_a to_o they_o hence_o we_o garhe_a a_o three_o doctrine_n viz._n that_o god_n be_v so_o tender_a and_o watchful_a over_o his_o church_n and_o people_n that_o he_o frustrate_v the_o wicked_a counsel_n and_o practice_n of_o their_o enemy_n and_o scatter_v and_o destroy_v their_o persecutor_n before_o they_o proceed_v and_o prevail_v so_o far_o as_o to_o make_v they_o feel_v and_o undergo_v the_o evil_a and_o mischief_n which_o they_o be_v sharp_o set_v and_o cruel_o bend_v to_o inflict_v and_o bring_v upon_o they_o four_o from_o the_o word_n which_o here_o threaten_v destruction_n to_o the_o sharp_a prick_n that_o be_v the_o enemy_n and_o persecutor_n of_o the_o doctrine_n 4_o righteous_a that_o god_n will_v take_v away_o every_o one_o as_o with_o a_o whirlwind_n a_o four_o doctrine_n arise_v which_o be_v this_o that_o when_o god_n church_n be_v most_o dangerous_o beset_v and_o assault_v by_o the_o band_n of_o enemy_n and_o persecutor_n of_o several_a sort_n the_o lord_n will_v terrible_o sudden_o and_o total_o scatter_v and_o destroy_v they_o all_o and_o none_o shall_v escape_v of_o these_o four_o doctrine_n i_o purpose_v to_o speak_v in_o order_n and_o to_o prove_v and_o apply_v they_o several_o as_o god_n shall_v assist_v and_o time_n permit_v the_o first_o doctrine_n which_o teach_v we_o that_o every_o band_n and_o faction_n of_o the_o wicked_a who_o consult_v conspire_v and_o work_v together_o against_o the_o church_n and_o people_n of_o god_n be_v most_o hurtful_a dangerous_a and_o pernicious_a even_o the_o plague_n and_o curse_v of_o land_n and_o kingdom_n in_o which_o they_o be_v be_v abundant_o confirm_v by_o testimony_n and_o example_n which_o the_o holy_a scripture_n do_v plentiful_o afford_v and_o minister_v to_o we_o for_o clear_a testimony_n we_o have_v all_o those_o place_n wherein_o all_o and_o every_o one_o of_o these_o wicked_a man_n band_v together_o be_v call_v by_o the_o name_n as_o of_o briar_n and_o thorn_n which_o be_v the_o curse_n of_o the_o earth_n so_o also_o of_o serpent_n scorpion_n wolf_n lion_n bear_n and_o other_o hurtful_a and_o noisome_a creature_n as_o mich._n 7.3_o the_o prophet_n inveigh_v against_o the_o practice_n of_o such_o counsellor_n judge_n officer_n and_o other_o wicked_a person_n band_v together_o under_o a_o ungodly_a prince_n say_v they_o
