far_o as_o they_o receive_v and_o be_v in_o unity_n with_o these_o leading_n and_o teach_n be_v infallible_a we_o say_v further_o that_o every_o true_a christian_a have_v
a_o infallible_a knowledge_n and_o faith_n of_o all_o such_o thing_n as_o be_v absolute_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n but_o as_o to_o other_o thing_n he_o may_v err_v if_o he_o be_v not_o due_o watchful_a to_o follow_v the_o infallible_a guidance_n of_o god_n holy_a spirit_n but_o if_o this_o author_n think_v he_o have_v no_o infallible_a faith_n or_o knowledge_n of_o any_o part_n or_o doctrine_n of_o religion_n he_o be_v a_o mere_a sceptic_a and_o unbeliever_n for_o all_o true_a faith_n be_v infallible_a that_o which_o be_v fallible_a be_v but_o mere_a opinion_n and_o conjecture_n his_o second_o instance_n be_v as_o weak_a and_o impertinent_a as_o the_o former_a viz._n that_o the_o principle_n of_o immediate_a revelation_n and_o inspiration_n utter_o overthrow_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o make_v they_o a_o useless_a rule_n of_o faith_n but_o to_o this_o i_o answer_v nay_o but_o on_o the_o contrary_a the_o doctrine_n of_o inspiration_n and_o revelation_n its_o remain_v in_o the_o church_n do_v not_o overthrow_n but_o establish_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o make_v they_o most_o useful_a both_o for_o a_o rule_n of_o faith_n and_o manner_n in_o subordination_n unto_o the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o sure_o have_v this_o author_n well_o mind_v his_o former_a concession_n he_o will_v not_o have_v make_v such_o a_o be_v overthrow_v by_o the_o write_n of_o the_o evangelist_n and_o apostle_n under_o the_o new_a testament_n or_o that_o one_o prophet_n write_v do_v overthrow_v the_o write_n of_o another_o prophet_n that_o do_v go_v before_o he_o which_o be_v most_o absurd_a paul_n who_o have_v abundant_a inspiration_n and_o revelation_n do_v not_o despise_v the_o scripture_n but_o regard_v their_o authority_n and_o use_v they_o both_o to_o his_o own_o and_o his_o brethren_n comfort_n and_o edification_n his_o three_o instance_n be_v that_o it_o have_v cashire_v the_o use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n but_o this_o be_v like_o the_o papist_n way_n of_o proceed_v against_o the_o protestant_n who_o to_o render_v they_o more_o obnoxious_a to_o the_o malice_n of_o the_o ignorant_a cry_v out_o against_o the_o protestant_n for_o cashire_v no_o less_o than_o five_o or_o rather_o six_o of_o the_o holy_a sacrament_n of_o the_o catholic_n church_n for_o whereas_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n hold_v that_o there_o be_v seven_o sacrament_n she_o blame_v the_o protestant_n for_o cash_n ring_v five_o of_o they_o total_o and_o the_o six_o almost_o if_o not_o altogether_o also_o to_o wit_n that_o of_o the_o eucharist_n so_o call_v the_o protestant_n make_v that_o which_o the_o priest_n or_o minister_n give_v to_o the_o people_n but_o a_o figure_n or_o sign_n which_o to_o be_v sure_o be_v not_o any_o gospel_n mystery_n for_o the_o figure_n belong_v to_o the_o law_n and_o cease_v with_o they_o and_o the_o substance_n be_v come_v in_o the_o room_n of_o they_o which_o we_o acknowledge_v and_o whether_o it_o be_v more_o dangerous_a and_o hurtful_a to_o say_v that_o a_o figure_n sign_n or_o ceremony_n be_v cease_v which_o be_v not_o appoint_v to_o continue_v till_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n or_o to_o say_v that_o divine_a inspiration_n whereby_o the_o soul_n live_v unto_o god_n and_o divine_a revelation_n whereby_o it_o only_o know_v god_n aright_o be_v cease_v let_v all_o sober_a and_o impartial_a man_n judge_v but_o as_o to_o this_o debate_n of_o the_o sacrament_n because_o it_o be_v a_o digression_n i_o shall_v not_o enlarge_v his_o four_o instance_n be_v that_o it_o which_o yet_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o the_o common-prayer_n allow_v whether_o this_o author_n have_v not_o exclude_v himself_o from_o all_o the_o ministerial_a order_n mention_v in_o eph._n 4._o because_o he_o say_v they_o be_v all_o cease_v and_o that_o he_o can_v find_v any_o ministerial_a order_n mention_v in_o the_o new_a testament_n but_o what_o be_v accompany_v with_o inspiration_n whereby_o they_o both_o preach_v and_o pray_v and_o see_v he_o have_v deny_v inspiration_n which_o the_o liturgy_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n ow_v and_o she_o pray_v for_o whether_o this_o author_n manner_n of_o preach_v and_o pray_v be_v not_o more_o contrary_a to_o the_o liturgy_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n in_o this_o very_a respect_n than_o that_o of_o the_o people_n call_v in_o derision_n quaker_n and_o so_o whether_o he_o have_v not_o bring_v himself_o and_o his_o hearer_n more_o deserve_o under_o the_o censure_n of_o the_o law_n than_o the_o quaker_n in_o this_o respect_n have_v do_v these_o two_o query_n i_o desire_v the_o author_n plain_o and_o without_o all_o shift_a or_o subterfuge_n to_o answer_v but_o to_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n divine_a immediate_a revelation_n and_o inspiration_n can_v any_o more_o annul_v but_o indeed_o they_o do_v confirm_v all_o the_o ministerial_a order_n appoint_v of_o god_n than_o they_o do_v in_o the_o primitive_a time_n for_o when_o immediate_a revelatiation_n and_o inspiration_n do_v great_o abound_v in_o the_o church_n as_o this_o author_n confess_v the_o ministerial_a order_n remain_v and_o be_v the_o more_o confirm_v and_o therefore_o they_o be_v so_o still_o next_o his_o instance_n fail_v he_o proceed_v to_o sinistrous_a and_o unjust_a insinuation_n against_o we_o as_o that_o the_o principle_n of_o inspiration_n can_v effectual_o convert_v the_o professor_n of_o it_o into_o downright_a popery_n consequent_o with_o their_o own_o principle_n for_o they_o have_v nothing_o more_o to_o do_v than_o to_o say_v that_o the_o spirit_n have_v tell_v they_o that_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v the_o only_a true_a church_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v it_o be_v impossible_a the_o holy_a
