have_v the_o true_a seal_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o profess_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n they_o may_v be_v the_o visible_a church_n or_o of_o the_o visible_a church_n yet_o they_o be_v not_o build_v upon_o christ_n unto_o salvation_n but_o upon_o the_o law_n of_o antichrist_n unto_o destruction_n the_o seven_o be_v that_o if_o all_o antichrist_n abomination_n heresy_n and_o idolatry_n may_v be_v bring_v into_o and_o remain_v in_o the_o church_n of_o god_n than_o no_o blasphemy_n heresy_n apostasy_n or_o any_o thing_n that_o man_n can_v commit_v or_o devise_v can_v break_v the_o covenant_n if_o the_o faith_n of_o god_n may_v be_v make_v of_o none_o effect_v by_o the_o unfaithfulnes_n of_o man_n it_o be_v a_o woeful_a case_n the_o covenant_n of_o god_n be_v found_v upon_o free_a grace_n the_o lord_n will_v not_o even_o because_o of_o his_o covenant_n suffer_v the_o devil_n and_o antichrist_n utter_o to_o deface_v his_o temple_n but_o preserve_v the_o holy_a seed_n covenant_n and_o the_o adoption_n the_o eight_o be_v that_o if_o those_o that_o worship_v the_o beast_n and_o his_o image_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v in_o the_o church_n and_o their_o seed_n outward_o within_o the_o covenant_n than_o the_o most_o abominable_a and_o execrable_a in_o this_o estate_n may_v be_v say_v member_n of_o christ_n wash_v and_o purge_v with_o his_o blood_n sanctify_a and_o lead_v by_o his_o spirit_n in_o assurance_n of_o salvation_n for_o none_o can_v be_v say_v to_o be_v within_o the_o church_n but_o the_o member_n of_o the_o church_n and_o whosoever_o we_o may_v affirm_v to_o be_v within_o the_o church_n those_o so_o long_o as_o they_o continue_v in_o that_o estate_n we_o be_v also_o to_o judge_v assure_o save_v for_o any_o thing_n to_o we_o reveal_v or_o know_v to_o the_o contrary_n these_o â—re_n thing_n easy_o speak_v by_o such_o as_o be_v bold_a to_o utter_v whatsoever_o they_o imagine_v the_o prophet_n complain_v that_o the_o great_a multitude_n both_o of_o juda_n and_o the_o ten_o tribe_n be_v rebel_n and_o that_o the_o lord_n have_v but_o a_o remnant_n among_o they_o show_v when_o that_o multitude_n of_o open_a wicked_a one_o and_o their_o seed_n be_v cast_v out_o from_o be_v the_o visible_a church_n &_o then_o show_v when_o they_o be_v receive_v in_o again_o for_o both_o these_o you_o must_v do_v because_o the_o whole_a nation_n when_o christ_n come_v be_v the_o child_n of_o the_o covenant_n &_o it_o be_v say_v that_o christ_n come_v among_o his_o own_o and_o his_o own_o receive_v he_o not_o you_o must_v prove_v that_o the_o but_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v like_a but_o of_o the_o church_n it_o be_v say_v that_o as_o the_o good_a seed_n and_o the_o bad_a be_v sow_v and_o grow_v together_o until_o harvest_n in_o the_o man_n field_n so_o the_o good_a and_o bad_a man_n be_v mix_v in_o the_o church_n so_o long_o as_o it_o remain_v in_o the_o world_n how_o then_o for_o these_o word_n let_v they_o alone_o let_v they_o grow_v unto_o the_o harvest_n it_o be_v plain_a if_o we_o will_v avoid_v absurdity_n on_o both_o side_n that_o our_o saviour_n do_v not_o here_o meddle_v either_o with_o the_o civil_a or_o ecclesiastical_a power_n but_o as_o it_o be_v the_o manner_n in_o parable_n to_o utter_v some_o say_n which_o be_v only_o to_o show_v some_o point_n of_o doctrine_n &_o not_o to_o be_v take_v strict_o according_a to_o the_o letter_n as_o for_o example_n when_o our_o saviour_n will_v show_v in_o that_o place_n luk._n 16._o which_o be_v partly_o a_o parable_n that_o such_o as_o can_v be_v bring_v to_o repentance_n by_o hear_v moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n will_v not_o repent_v if_o one_o shall_v rise_v from_o the_o dead_a to_o bring_v in_o this_o doctrine_n the_o damn_a soul_n be_v say_v to_o entreat_v abraham_n that_o he_o will_v send_v lazarus_n unto_o his_o father_n house_n to_o warn_v his_o brethren_n lest_o they_o shall_v come_v into_o that_o place_n shall_v we_o think_v that_o damn_a soul_n have_v such_o a_o care_n that_o other_o may_v repent_v and_o be_v save_v nay_o as_o i_o say_v it_o be_v only_o to_o bring_v in_o a_o doctrine_n what_o be_v the_o doctrine_n then_o which_o our_o doctrine_n of_o a_o parable_n so_o clear_o express_v the_o next_o place_n to_o prove_v that_o the_o open_a wicked_a shall_v always_o be_v mix_v with_o the_o good_a in_o the_o church_n be_v the_o parable_n of_o the_o draw_v â—et_o out_o of_o the_o same_o chapter_n you_o say_v this_o be_v grant_v to_o be_v understand_v of_o the_o plant_v church_n who_o be_v they_o which_o grant_v this_o indeed_o the_o donatist_n grant_v this_o and_o it_o be_v some_o gentleness_n that_o you_o will_v grant_v so_o much_o for_o if_o in_o this_o parable_n the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v the_o visible_a church_n which_o be_v compare_v to_o the_o net_n which_o draw_v together_o good_a and_o bad_a why_o be_v not_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n in_o the_o former_a parable_n also_o the_o church_n and_o so_o the_o estate_n thereof_o liken_v while_o it_o be_v in_o the_o field_n unto_o the_o wheat_n and_o the_o tare_n grow_v together_o you_o say_v the_o evil_a fish_n be_v not_o open_a sinner_n but_o hypocrite_n and_o so_o say_v the_o donatist_n and_o i_o marvel_v you_o show_v no_o reason_n for_o it_o see_v the_o devil_n do_v suggest_v this_o frivolous_a show_n of_o reason_n unto_o the_o donatist_n that_o hypocrite_n be_v very_o fit_o resemble_v by_o fish_n in_o the_o net_n under_o the_o water_n which_o the_o fisher_n man_n can_v see_v until_o the_o net_n be_v draw_v to_o land_n this_o i_o have_v answer_v in_o my_o former_a book_n there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o that_o close_a hypocrite_n which_o outward_o appear_v holy_a be_v one_o great_a part_n of_o those_o evil_a fish_n gather_v the_o wheat_n into_o his_o barn_n but_o he_o will_v burn_v the_o chaff_n with_o unquenchable_a fire_n do_v manifest_o show_v that_o as_o the_o corn_n and_o chaff_n for_o a_o time_n lie_v upon_o the_o floar_n so_o the_o good_a and_o the_o bad_a lie_n mingle_v together_o in_o the_o visible_a church_n here_o you_o make_v a_o exposition_n of_o your_o own_o and_o then_o take_v on_o grievous_o that_o christ_n church_n shall_v be_v compare_v to_o such_o a_o floar_n as_o the_o chaff_n and_o the_o corn_n lie_v together_o and_o ask_v what_o the_o church_n than_o differ_v from_o the_o world_n it_o be_v certain_a that_o both_o the_o civil_a and_o ecclesiastical_a power_n ought_v to_o be_v employ_v with_o all_o diligence_n and_o care_n that_o may_v be_v to_o purge_v the_o church_n that_o albeit_o the_o floar_n can_v be_v clean_o rid_v of_o the_o chaff_n yet_o it_o may_v be_v rid_v so_o far_o as_o man_n be_v able_a that_o be_v not_o the_o question_n but_o when_o these_o duty_n
