rule_n stand_v not_o upon_o this_o condition_n as_o they_o do_v continue_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o god_n and_o keep_v the_o precept_n of_o god_n in_o purity_n without_o violation_n which_o when_o they_o do_v not_o as_o sometime_o they_o do_v not_o whether_o be_v they_o subject_a to_o err_v or_o whether_o do_v they_o err_v yeâ—_n or_o nay_o viz._n the_o priest_n and_o levite_n judge_n and_o head_n of_o the_o people_n which_o r._n e._n reckon_v for_o the_o church_n and_o though_o christ_n do_v exhort_v his_o disciple_n to_o hear_v the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n who_o sit_v in_o moses_n chair_n and_o to_o observe_v and_o do_v those_o thing_n which_o they_o from_o the_o law_n before-given_a read_v teach_v and_o instruct_v the_o people_n in_o because_o as_o i_o say_v before_o the_o law_n and_o the_o statute_n be_v commit_v to_o the_o priest_n and_o levite_n and_o they_o to_o read_v it_o and_o minister_v unto_o the_o people_n by_o the_o appointment_n of_o god_n and_o these_o statute_n and_o ordinance_n be_v the_o rule_n that_o the_o then_o church_n ought_v to_o have_v observe_v yet_o christ_n exhort_v the_o disciple_n to_o beware_v of_o their_o leaven_n and_o of_o their_o hypocrisy_n and_o say_v they_o say_v and_o do_v not_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o authority_n which_o r._n e._n say_v they_o have_v and_o further_o say_v will_v god_n direct_v they_o unto_o and_o punish_v with_o death_n for_o not_o obey_v a_o authority_n which_o may_v deceive_v they_o or_o will_v christ_n command_v the_o do_v of_o whatsoever_o shall_v be_v do_v by_o a_o authority_n that_o be_v capable_a of_o mistake_v all_o which_o make_v nothing_o for_o r.e._n but_o rather_o will_v run_v he_o upon_o a_o hard_a rock_n if_o this_o shall_v be_v true_a or_o grant_v for_o than_o he_o be_v bind_v both_o to_o believe_v and_o justify_v the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n in_o whatsoever_o they_o do_v or_o say_v of_o which_o methinks_v r._n e._n shall_v be_v ashamed_a it_o be_v true_a they_o that_o sit_v in_o moses_n chair_n can_v not_o err_v nor_o be_v capable_a of_o mistake_v as_o they_o continue_v to_o keep_v unviolate_a the_o ordinance_n statute_n and_o rule_n which_o be_v give_v unto_o they_o by_o the_o command_n of_o god_n but_o when_o they_o disobey_v and_o set_v up_o the_o tradition_n of_o man_n and_o mingle_v they_o with_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n and_o neglect_v the_o weighty_a matter_n of_o the_o law_n as_o justice_n and_o true_a judgement_n both_o they_o that_o teach_v and_o they_o that_o be_v teach_v come_v just_o under_o reproof_n and_o see_v r._n e._n reckon_v that_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o jew_n scribe_n and_o pharisee_n can_v not_o be_v deceive_v or_o capable_a of_o mistake_v only_o because_o they_o bear_v the_o name_n of_o such_o a_o authority_n and_o office_n i_o query_n of_o r._n e._n again_o whether_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n be_v not_o mistake_v yea_o or_o nay_o and_o whether_o they_o be_v not_o deceive_v yea_o or_o nay_o and_o wherefore_o christ_n shall_v exhort_v his_o disciple_n to_o take_v heed_n of_o they_o and_o to_o beware_v of_o they_o and_o to_o take_v heed_n of_o their_o doctrine_n and_o why_o do_v christ_n pronounce_v so_o many_o woe_n against_o they_o notwithstanding_o their_o sit_v in_o moses_n chair_n but_o in_o what_o have_v be_v say_v i_o hope_v will_v be_v sufficient_a to_o convince_v any_o that_o what_o r._n e._n have_v lay_v down_o for_o a_o seem_a foundation_n make_v altogether_o against_o himself_o the_o premise_n before_o well_o consider_v and_o as_o for_o all_o thy_o collection_n out_o of_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n to_o his_o church_n isa._n 54._o &_o 56._o and_o of_o its_o endowment_n and_o glory_n and_o excellency_n and_o of_o his_o put_v his_o spirit_n in_o they_o and_o of_o his_o word_n in_o their_o mouth_n and_o that_o it_o shall_v not_o depart_v from_o the_o seed_n or_o the_o seed_n seed_n forever_o this_o be_v grant_v and_o the_o promise_n be_v not_o to_o man_n as_o man_n but_o to_o the_o seed_n which_o be_v not_o many_o but_o one_o but_o israel_n be_v this_o true_a church_n then_o in_o the_o time_n of_o this_o prophecy_n though_o it_o have_v relation_n to_o future_a age_n also_o and_o if_o r._n e._n look_v that_o this_o promise_n shall_v be_v to_o israel_n after_o the_o flesh_n the_o church_n then_o visible_a and_o in_o be_v he_o mistake_v himself_o and_o he_o egregious_o err_v and_o contradict_v the_o scripture_n in_o sundry_a place_n which_o say_v your_o house_n be_v leave_v unto_o you_o desolate_a their_o sacrifice_n cease_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n depart_v from_o they_o their_o prophet_n prophesy_v a_o divination_n of_o their_o own_o brain_n and_o their_o vision_n be_v as_o vision_n of_o the_o night_n and_o the_o lord_n speak_v not_o to_o the_o most_o
