but_o this_o be_v not_o the_o ordinary_a principle_n by_o which_o many_o be_v lead_v to_o maintain_v a_o equality_n of_o day_n under_o the_o gospel_n but_o this_o chief_o viz._n that_o the_o moral_a law_n be_v not_o to_o be_v a_o christian_n rule_n of_o life_n for_o we_o acknowledge_v it_o to_o be_v no_o covenant_n of_o life_n to_o a_o believer_n that_o either_o by_o the_o keep_n of_o it_o he_o the_o christian_a in_o bondage_n or_o to_o use_v his_o own_o word_n of_o a_o christian_a under_o active_a and_o work_a administration_n as_o those_o of_o the_o law_n and_o gospel_n be_v as_o all_o form_n of_o worship_n duty_n grace_n prayer_n ordinance_n etc._n etc._n from_o whence_o it_o will_v follow_v from_o his_o principle_n for_o i_o know_v not_o his_o practice_n that_o all_o form_n of_o worship_n duty_n grace_n prayer_n ordinance_n be_v then_o to_o cease_v as_o type_n
a_o sinner_n as_o a_o sinner_n have_v need_n consider_v what_o they_o say_v for_o be_v it_o to_o a_o sinner_n as_o possess_v with_o christ_n and_o receive_v of_o he_o or_o as_o dispossess_v of_o christ_n not_o have_v of_o he_o but_o rather_o refuse_v and_o reject_v of_o he_o if_o they_o say_v the_o first_o they_o then_o speak_v the_o truth_n but_o then_o they_o raze_v down_o their_o own_o that_o he_o shall_v determine_v be_v moral_a and_o if_o he_o declare_v his_o determination_n to_o a_o seven_o a_o seven_o day_n be_v therefore_o moral_a gomarus_n confess_v that_o by_o the_o analogy_n of_o this_o commandment_n not_o one_o day_n in_o a_o thousand_o or_o when_o man_n please_v but_o that_o one_o day_n in_o seven_o be_v moral_a at_o least_o equal_a fit_a and_o congruous_a to_o observe_v the_o same_o and_o if_o the_o analogy_n he_o speak_v of_o arise_v virtute_fw-la mandati_fw-la divini_fw-la or_o by_o virtue_n of_o god_n commandment_n the_o cause_n be_v in_o effect_n yield_v but_o if_o this_o analogy_n be_v make_v virtute_fw-la libertatis_fw-la humanae_fw-la so_o that_o humane_a liberty_n may_v do_v well_o to_o give_v god_n one_o in_o seven_o because_o the_o jew_n do_v so_o and_o why_o shall_v christian_n be_v more_o scant_o then_o i_o see_v not_o but_o humane_a liberty_n may_v assume_v power_n to_o itself_o to_o impose_v monthly_a and_o annual_a holy_a day_n as_o well_o because_o the_o jew_n have_v their_o new_a moon_n and_o yearly_a festival_n and_o by_o analogy_n thereof_o why_o may_v not_o christian_n who_o have_v more_o grace_n pour_v out_o upon_o they_o and_o more_o love_n show_v unto_o they_o under_o the_o gospel_n hold_v some_o meet_a proportion_n with_o they_o therein_o also_o as_o well_o as_o in_o sabbath_n but_o it_o can_v never_o be_v prove_v that_o god_n have_v leave_v any_o humane_a wisdom_n at_o liberty_n to_o make_v holy_a day_n by_o the_o rule_n of_o jewish_a proportion_n beside_o if_o humane_a wisdom_n see_v it_o meet_v and_o congruous_a to_o give_v god_n at_o least_o one_o day_n in_o seven_o this_o wisdom_n and_o reason_n be_v either_o regulate_v by_o some_o law_n and_o then_o it_o be_v by_o virtue_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n that_o he_o shall_v have_v one_o day_n in_o seven_o or_o it_o be_v not_o regulate_v by_o a_o law_n and_o then_o we_o be_v leave_v to_o a_o loose_a end_n again_o for_o man_n to_o appoint_v what_o day_n he_o see_v meet_v in_o a_o short_a or_o a_o long_a time_n his_o own_o reason_n be_v his_o only_a law_n and_o this_o neither_o gomaras_n nor_o the_o word_n of_o the_o commandment_n will_v allow_v which_o set_v and_o fix_v the_o day_n which_o we_o see_v be_v one_o day_n in_o seven_o which_o not_o man_n but_o god_n shall_v determine_v and_o therefore_o call_v the_o sabbath_n of_o the_o lord_n apostle_n teach_v the_o church_n that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n command_v to_o the_o apostle_n so_o that_o the_o approve_a practice_n of_o the_o church_n herein_o show_v what_o be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o apostle_n show_v what_o be_v the_o command_n of_o christ_n so_o that_o the_o sanctification_n of_o this_o fiâ—st_a day_n of_o the_o week_n be_v no_o
