what_o it_o be_v we_o do_v when_o we_o eat_v this_o bread_n and_o drink_v this_o cup_n in_o which_o we_o show_v forth_o christ_n death_n it_o plain_o imply_v that_o it_o must_v be_v do_v and_o be_v not_o leave_v to_o our_o choice_n whether_o we_o will_v show_v forth_o the_o death_n of_o our_o lord_n or_o no._n of_o which_o more_o anon_o when_o i_o have_v lay_v some_o other_o thing_n before_o you_o which_o will_v convince_v you_o if_o they_o be_v consider_v of_o the_o obligation_n that_o lie_v upon_o you_o to_o the_o serious_a performance_n of_o this_o duty_n and_o for_o our_o clear_a against_o what_o i_o have_v say_v that_o sure_o it_o be_v sufficient_a if_o we_o every_o day_n pray_v to_o god_n in_o christ_n name_n and_o for_o his_o sake_n desire_v our_o prayer_n may_v find_v a_o gracious_a audience_n praise_v he_o also_o as_o our_o saviour_n and_o redeemer_n and_o intercessor_n at_o god_n right_a hand_n though_o we_o do_v not_o use_v these_o visible_a sign_n which_o he_o have_v appoint_v but_o if_o this_o be_v entire_o sufficient_a so_o that_o our_o christian_a worship_n may_v be_v just_o think_v entire_a complete_a and_o perfect_a without_o do_v this_o in_o remembrance_n of_o christ_n then_o for_o what_o end_n be_v it_o institute_v by_o he_o why_o do_v he_o appoint_v it_o if_o our_o worship_n be_v complete_a without_o it_o then_o it_o be_v as_o employ_v in_o secular_a business_n receive_v the_o communion_n even_o in_o the_o primitive_a time_n only_o on_o the_o lord_n day_n and_o other_o festival_n interpret_n as_o many_o think_v the_o practice_n of_o the_o most_o ancient_a time_n by_o the_o custom_n of_o his_o own_o it_o be_v possible_a indeed_o that_o he_o have_v a_o better_a reason_n for_o what_o he_o affirm_v because_o we_o understand_v the_o matter_n here_o at_o troas_n where_o they_o do_v not_o omit_v the_o communion_n on_o other_o day_n for_o i_o can_v persuade_v myself_o but_o that_o they_o be_v conformable_a to_o the_o mother_n church_n of_o jerusalem_n but_o such_o as_o can_v assemble_v themselves_o and_o attend_v upon_o divine_a service_n daily_o '_o do_v receive_v it_o and_o on_o the_o lord_n day_n all_o the_o christian_n in_o the_o city_n come_v together_o for_o that_o purpose_n and_o whatsoever_o business_n they_o have_v which_o hinder_v they_o on_o other_o day_n it_o do_v not_o hinder_v they_o on_o this_o but_o they_o all_o come_v to_o do_v their_o duty_n to_o their_o saviour_n and_o make_v a_o public_a commemoration_n of_o his_o love_n and_o in_o this_o they_o be_v so_o strict_a for_o a_o long_a time_n and_o it_o be_v account_v so_o great_a a_o fault_n to_o be_v absent_a that_o if_o any_o person_n be_v find_v not_o to_o have_v communicate_v for_o three_o sunday_n together_o they_o be_v to_o be_v excommunicate_v and_o separate_v from_o the_o society_n of_o the_o church_n by_o the_o canon_n of_o three_o several_a synod_n mention_v by_o zonaras_n upon_o the_o eleven_o canon_n of_o the_o apostle_n which_o order_v they_o to_o be_v cast_v out_o as_o a_o offence_n to_o the_o church_n who_o enter_v into_o the_o church_n and_o hear_v the_o holy_a scripture_n but_o do_v not_o stay_v in_o the_o mother_n church_n at_o least_o as_o pattern_n and_o example_n unto_o the_o rest_n and_o thus_o much_o mr._n calvin_n himself_o roundly_o declare_v after_o he_o have_v commend_v the_o ancient_a custom_n of_o communicate_v daily_o and_o condemn_v the_o custom_n of_o communicate_v only_o once_o a_o year_n as_o a_o diabolical_a invention_n that_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n ought_v to_o be_v prepare_v for_o christian_a people_n at_o least_o once_o a_o week_n and_o that_o all_o shall_v be_v exhort_v and_o stimulate_v and_o the_o slothful_a chide_v to_o flock_v as_o say_v all_o of_o this_o sort_n it_o be_v safe_a to_o honour_v the_o sacrament_n by_o a_o fearful_a and_o reverend_a abstinence_n from_o it_o than_o by_o a_o careless_a and_o unprepared_a forwardness_n to_o partake_v of_o it_o profane_v it_o in_o a_o word_n we_o conceive_v ourselves_o to_o be_v utter_o unfit_a therefore_o we_o dare_v not_o come_v to_o it_o now_o in_o answer_n to_o this_o three_o exception_n against_o the_o performance_n of_o this_o duty_n which_o have_v a_o show_n of_o humility_n in_o it_o and_o look_n like_o a_o pious_a care_n not_o to_o do_v good_a thing_n in_o a_o ill_a
