christ_n count_v worthy_a of_o his_o redouble_a prayer_n oh_o let_v this_o serve_v to_o aggravate_v this_o sin_n of_o contention_n that_o it_o be_v direct_o contrary_a not_o only_o to_o the_o command_n but_o to_o the_o solemn_a prayer_n of_o our_o lord_n i_o may_v show_v you_o how_o strife_n and_o division_n be_v against_o your_o own_o prayer_n you_o often_o pray_v and_o pray_v hard_a for_o the_o peace_n and_o union_n of_o christian_n but_o this_o be_v a_o powerful_a consideration_n indeed_o that_o it_o be_v against_o the_o desire_n and_o prayer_n of_o jesus_n christ_n himself_o 4._o contention_n and_o division_n do_v great_o dishonour_v christ_n his_o name_n and_o doctrine_n be_v hereby_o blaspheme_v it_o make_v our_o heart_n to_o bleed_v within_o we_o to_o hear_v christ_n reproach_v by_o the_o black_a mouth_n of_o his_o enemy_n and_o nothing_o more_o open_v they_o than_o the_o division_n of_o his_o friend_n and_o follower_n it_o be_v worth_a your_o observation_n that_o when_o christ_n pray_v for_o the_o union_n of_o his_o follower_n he_o back_v it_o with_o this_o argument_n that_o the_o world_n may_v believe_v and_o know_v that_o he_o be_v send_v of_o the_o father_n be_v so_o dishonourable_a to_o christ_n and_o to_o his_o name_n who_o do_v not_o tremble_v to_o have_v his_o hand_n in_o that_o which_o bring_v a_o apparent_a reproach_n upon_o christ_n and_o the_o christian_a religion_n it_o be_v story_v of_o alexander_n severus_n that_o see_v two_o christian_n at_o variance_n one_o with_o the_o other_o he_o forbid_v they_o any_o long_a to_o assume_v the_o name_n of_o christian_n because_o that_o by_o their_o strife_n and_o contention_n they_o dishonour_v their_o lord_n and_o master_n oh_o how_o many_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o we_o and_o round_o about_o we_o may_v be_v interdict_v the_o christian_a name_n for_o the_o same_o reason_n 5._o which_o follow_v upon_o the_o former_a contention_n and_o division_n do_v stumble_v and_o harden_v the_o ungodly_a and_o ungodly_a man_n shy_a of_o religion_n and_o of_o
