signify_v a_o great_a deal_n more_o than_o such_o a_o moral_a union_n of_o will_n and_o affection_n why_o shall_v they_o not_o as_o well_o conclude_v that_o christ_n pray_v for_o such_o a_o essential_a oneness_n between_o christian_n as_o there_o be_v between_o he_o and_o his_o father_n as_o that_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n be_v one_o in_o no_o high_a and_o more_o perfect_a sense_n than_o what_o be_v applicable_a to_o the_o unity_n of_o christian_n with_o each_o other_o there_o may_v be_v such_o a_o likeness_n and_o resemblance_n between_o natural_a and_o moral_a union_n between_o the_o act_n and_o perfection_n of_o nature_n and_o the_o virtue_n of_o the_o will_n and_o choice_n as_o may_v be_v a_o just_a foundation_n for_o a_o comparison_n but_o he_o be_v a_o very_a absurd_a reasoner_n who_o from_o such_o a_o comparison_n will_v conclude_v they_o be_v the_o same_o we_o be_v require_v to_o love_v our_o neighbour_n as_o ourselves_o but_o will_v any_o man_n hence_o conclude_v that_o the_o love_n of_o ourselves_o and_o the_o love_n of_o our_o neighbour_n be_v of_o the_o same_o kind_n which_o be_v manifest_o false_a self-love_n be_v a_o natural_a and_o necessary_a passion_n the_o love_n of_o our_o neighbour_n a_o christian_a virtue_n the_o first_o the_o effect_n of_o nature_n the_o second_o of_o grace_n but_o the_o effect_n so_o like_o each_o other_o that_o they_o may_v well_o be_v compare_v and_o the_o natural_a principle_n which_o act_v most_o equal_o and_o necessary_o and_o perfect_o may_v be_v make_v the_o rule_n and_o measure_n of_o brotherly_a love_n thus_o this_o essential_a unity_n between_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n produce_v the_o most_o perfect_a harmony_n and_o union_n of_o will_n and_o affection_n and_o therefore_o be_v the_o most_o perfect_a pattern_n of_o that_o moral_a union_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v among_o christian_n for_o we_o may_v observe_v that_o this_o oneness_n between_o the_o father_n and_o the_o son_n be_v not_o the_o only_a natural_a and_o essential_a unity_n which_o be_v make_v the_o pattern_n of_o unity_n among_o christian_n the_o unity_n of_o the_o natural_a body_n and_o the_o vital_a sympathy_n and_o fellow-feeling_n which_o all_o the_o member_n of_o the_o same_o natural_a body_n have_v for_o each_o other_o be_v propose_v as_o a_o pattern_n also_o of_o that_o mutual_a love_n and_o affection_n between_o christian_n 1_o cor._n 12.12_o 27._o and_o yet_o no_o man_n will_v be_v so_o absurd_a as_o to_o say_v that_o either_o christian_n be_v as_o natural_o and_o vital_o unite_v to_o by_o external_a revelation_n or_o communication_n of_o this_o knowledge_n but_o by_o self-consciousness_n by_o a_o internal_a sensation_n which_o be_v owe_v to_o a_o essential_a unity_n v._n 11._o for_o what_o man_n know_v the_o thing_n of_o a_o man_n save_o the_o spirit_n of_o a_o man_n which_o be_v in_o he_o even_o so_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n know_v no_o man_n but_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n so_o that_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v as_o much_o within_o god_n and_o as_o intimate_v to_o he_o as_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n be_v in_o man_n that_o be_v by_o a_o essential_a oneness_n and_o self-consciousness_n and_o as_o the_o spirit_n know_v the_o deep_a thing_n of_o god_n so_o god_n who_o search_v the_o heart_n know_v the_o mind_n of_o the_o spirit_n too_o 8_o rom._n 27._o so_o
