to_o see_v general_o what_o ought_v to_o be_v do_v and_o not_o do_v but_o they_o lack_v the_o wisdom_n which_o shall_v govern_v they_o in_o their_o particular_a action_n according_a to_o the_o due_a circumstance_n as_o they_o may_v please_v god_n in_o all_o their_o duty_n the_o child_n of_o this_o world_n excel_v the_o child_n of_o light_n in_o worldly_a wisdom_n but_o in_o wise_a walk_n before_o god_n the_o child_n of_o light_n excel_v the_o worldling_n whereof_o not_o one_o have_v this_o true_a godly_a wisdom_n howsoever_o clear-sighted_a they_o be_v in_o matter_n of_o their_o own_o credit_n and_o gain_v neither_o have_v any_o worldly_a man_n the_o bless_a gift_n of_o honesty_n albeit_o they_o may_v do_v many_o thing_n which_o be_v honest_a and_o be_v repute_v honest_a by_o man_n of_o the_o world_n because_o they_o do_v such_o civil_a work_n as_o honest_a man_n do_v yet_o they_o be_v destitute_a of_o christian_a honesty_n which_o be_v a_o fruit_n of_o the_o honesty_n spirit_n a_o virtue_n be_v proper_a to_o a_o elect_a man_n who_o be_v blessed_v of_o god_n with_o a_o special_a valour_n courage_n and_o strength_n of_o mind_n whereby_o they_o can_v overcome_v hard_a thing_n and_o attempt_v great_a work_n with_o good_a heart_n for_o the_o spirit_n of_o fortitude_n and_o virtue_n be_v in_o they_o so_o as_o they_o be_v not_o easy_o daunt_v and_o discourage_v whereas_o unregenerate_a person_n be_v either_o too_o base_a or_o too_o bold_a and_o audacious_a be_v void_a of_o that_o virtue_n which_o peter_n exhort_v good_n christians_o to_o join_v to_o their_o faith_n neither_o do_v zeal_n any_o unregenerate_a man_n partake_v in_o the_o gift_n of_o true_a zeal_n for_o howsoever_o many_o of_o they_o be_v zealous_a and_o servant_n yet_o they_o be_v zealous_a amiss_o either_o they_o be_v earnest_a in_o defence_n of_o their_o own_o opinion_n and_o of_o man_n tradition_n as_o be_v the_o blind_a jew_n and_o paul_n be_v yet_o a_o pharisie_n or_o if_o their_o zeal_n be_v for_o good_a thing_n command_v of_o god_n or_o against_o evil_a thing_n forbid_v by_o he_o yet_o either_o it_o be_v not_o according_a to_o knowledge_n as_o in_o those_o which_o be_v servant_n for_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n to_o set_v it_o up_o and_o to_o pull_v down_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n of_o who_o the_o apostle_n speak_v rom._n 10._o i_o bear_v they_o witness_v they_o have_v a_o zeal_n but_o not_o according_a to_o knowledge_n or_o if_o they_o do_v know_v what_o they_o do_v yet_o their_o strive_v for_o know_a good_a thing_n and_o against_o know_v evil_a thing_n be_v neither_o in_o a_o good_a manner_n nor_o to_o a_o good_a end_n as_o it_o be_v write_v of_o jehu_n that_o he_o be_v zealous_a for_o the_o lord_n of_o host_n but_o yet_o his_o natural_a man_n it_o be_v both_o blind_a and_o bitter_a but_o it_o be_v otherwise_o with_o the_o zeal_n of_o regenerate_a person_n which_o be_v temper_v with_o charity_n and_o guide_v by_o knowledge_n the_o zeal_n of_o the_o righteous_a make_v they_o earnest_a against_o know_a evil_a thing_n to_o hinder_v they_o and_o against_o know_v good_a thing_n to_o further_o they_o according_a to_o their_o mean_n and_o calling_n so_o set_v before_o their_o eye_n only_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n as_o the_o mark_n they_o aim_v at_o in_o all_o their_o zealous_a course_n as_o they_o have_v a_o charitable_a respect_n of_o their_o brethren_n to_o bear_v with_o their_o weakness_n to_o pity_v 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d and_o misery_n to_o labour_v their_o conversion_n never_o please_v themselves_o in_o their_o zeal_n further_o than_o it_o may_v please_v god_n and_o profit_n man_n wherein_o yet_o this_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v that_o when_o respect_n and_o favour_n to_o man_n be_v direct_o against_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n their_o true_a and_o god_n 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d be_v blind_a and_o will_v not_o see_v deaf_a and_o will_v not_o hear_v the_o extremity_n of_o man_n as_o appear_v in_o the_o zeal_n of_o the_o levite_n put_v to_o the_o sword_n their_o brethren_n and_o 〈◊〉_d at_o god_n commandment_n 〈◊〉_d 33_o also_o in_o the_o zeal_n of_o 〈◊〉_d and_o elius_n put_v they_o to_o death_n severe_o who_o god_n will_v not_o have_v to_o 〈◊〉_d i_o king_n and_o touch_v zeal_n i_o have_v furthermore_o learn_v thus_o much_o that_o it_o ought_v to_o go_v with_o and_o accompany_v every_o good_a duty_n of_o our_o general_n or_o especial_a call_n as_o we_o be_v command_v to_o repeat_v and_o be_v zealous_a 〈◊〉_d 3._o and_o it_o be_v tell_v we_o galatian_n 4._o that_o it_o be_v a_o good_a thing_n to_o be_v earnest_a in_o every_o good_a thing_n our_o prayer_n must_v be_v with_o zeal_n also_o our_o thanksgiving_n our_o hear_n our_o preach_n our_o give_v of_o alm_n our_o counsel_n our_o repentance_n and_o all_o other_o particular_a work_n as_o in_o the_o law_n no_o sacrifice_n be_v accept_v without_o salt_n so_o be_v no_o duty_n please_v unto_o god_n without_o zeal_n coldness_n and_o luke-warmnesse_n be_v both_o odious_a to_o god_n as_o also_o fiery_a bitterness_n without_o diferetion_n and_o love_n but_o wise_a and_o charitable_a zeal_n be_v his_o delight_n apollo_n nay_o friend_n aquila_n i_o think_v of_o those_o four_o grace_n but_o you_o have_v bestow_v they_o in_o a_o good_a place_n not_o only_o because_o better_a late_o than_o never_o as_o we_o say_v but_o because_o among_o common_a labour_v to_o answer_v and_o in_o some_o good_a measure_n can_v both_o know_v and_o answer_v these_o duty_n express_v and_o exercise_v the_o power_n of_o all_o that_o godliness_n which_o they_o have_v as_o christian_n in_o that_o particular_a or_o in_o 〈◊〉_d particular_a place_n wherein_o they_o be_v seat_v and_o settle_v of_o god_n and_o that_o with_o all_o diligence_n and_o sidelity_n
