preface_n and_o then_o bring_v argument_n for_o the_o affirmative_a first_o therefore_o though_o it_o shall_v be_v grant_v that_o the_o moral_a christian_n law_n as_o give_v by_o moses_n do_v not_o belong_v to_o we_o christian_n yet_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o antinomian_o will_v not_o hold_v for_o there_o be_v some_o learned_a and_o solid_a divine_n as_o zanchy_a and_o rivet_v and_o many_o papist_n as_o suarez_n and_o medina_n which_o hold_v the_o law_n as_o deliver_v by_o moses_n not_o to_o belong_v to_o we_o and_o yet_o be_v express_o against_o antinomist_n for_o they_o say_v that_o howsoever_o the_o law_n do_v not_o bind_v under_o that_o notion_n as_o mosaical_a yet_o it_o bind_v because_o it_o be_v confirm_v by_o christ_n so_o that_o although_o the_o first_o obligation_n cease_v and_o we_o have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o moses_n now_o yet_o the_o second_o obligation_n which_o come_v by_o christ_n be_v still_o upon_o we_o and_o this_o be_v enough_o to_o overthrow_v the_o antinomian_a who_o plead_v for_o the_o total_a abrogation_n of_o the_o law_n thus_o you_o see_v that_o if_o this_o shall_v be_v grant_v yet_o the_o law_n shall_v be_v keep_v up_o in_o its_o full_a vigour_n and_o force_n as_o much_o as_o if_o it_o be_v continue_v by_o moses_n but_o i_o conceive_v that_o this_o position_n go_v upon_o a_o false_a ground_n as_o if_o our_o saviour_n matth._n confirmation_n of_o the_o old_a law_n second_o consider_v in_o what_o sense_n we_o say_v that_o the_o law_n do_v bind_v we_o in_o regard_n of_o moses_n and_o first_o this_o may_v be_v understand_v reduplicative_o as_o if_o it_o do_v moses_n bind_v because_o of_o moses_n so_o that_o whatsoeveer_n be_v of_o moses_n his_o ministry_n do_v belong_v to_o we_o and_o this_o be_v very_o false_a and_o whether_o when_o he_o deliver_v the_o ten_o commandment_n he_o intend_v only_o the_o jew_n and_o not_o all_o that_o shall_v be_v convert_v hereafter_o it_o be_v true_a the_o people_n of_o israel_n be_v the_o people_n to_o who_o this_o law_n be_v immediate_o promulge_v but_o yet_o the_o question_n be_v whether_o other_o as_o they_o come_v under_o the_o promulgation_n of_o it_o be_v not_o bind_v as_o for_o the_o jew_n and_o that_o this_o may_v be_v the_o more_o clear_v to_o you_o you_o may_v consider_v the_o moral_a law_n to_o bind_v two_o way_n 1._o in_o regard_n of_o the_o matter_n and_o still_o oblige_v because_o of_o christ_n confirmation_n of_o it_o yet_o the_o antinomian_o do_v profess_v they_o do_v not_o differ_v here_o from_o they_o but_o they_o say_v the_o law_n bind_v in_o regard_n of_o the_o matter_n and_o as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o hand_n of_o jesus_n christ_n it_o be_v true_a this_o expression_n of_o they_o be_v contradict_v by_o they_o and_o necessary_o it_o must_v be_v so_o for_o islebius_n and_o the_o old_a antinomian_o with_o the_o latter_a also_o do_v not_o only_o speak_v against_o the_o law_n as_o bind_v by_o moses_n but_o the_o bona_fw-la opera_fw-la the_o good_a work_n which_o be_v the_o matter_n of_o the_o law_n as_o appear_v in_o their_o dangerous_a position_n about_o good_a work_n which_o heretofore_o i_o have_v examine_v but_o true_o take_v the_o consider_v that_o this_o be_v the_o great_a question_n which_o do_v so_o much_o trouble_v the_o church_n in_o her_o infancy_n whether_o gentile_n convert_v be_v bind_v to_o keep_v up_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n whether_o they_o be_v bind_v to_o circumcise_v and_o to_o use_v all_o those_o legal_a purification_n now_o how_o be_v these_o question_n decide_v but_o thus_o that_o they_o be_v but_o the_o shadow_n and_o christ_n the_o fullness_n be_v come_v and_o therefore_o they_o be_v to_o cease_v and_o thus_o for_o the_o judicial_a law_n because_o they_o be_v give_v to_o they_o as_o a_o politic_a body_n that_o polity_n cease_v which_o be_v the_o principal_a the_o accessary_a fall_n with_o it_o so_o that_o the_o ceremonial_a law_n in_o the_o judgement_n of_o all_o have_v still_o
