church-discipline_n that_o never_o exercise_v it_o or_o live_v where_o it_o be_v exercise_v and_o i_o shall_v hereafter_o suspect_v their_o judgement_n and_o be_v almost_o as_o loath_a to_o follow_v such_o as_o to_o follow_v a_o swimmer_n that_o never_o be_v before_o in_o the_o water_n or_o a_o pilot_n that_o be_v never_o before_o at_o sea_n or_o a_o soldier_n that_o never_o see_v war_n before_o but_o have_v only_o learn_v their_o skill_n by_o the_o book_n our_o case_n stand_v thus_o if_o we_o take_v all_o our_o parish_n according_a to_o the_o old_a church-constitution_n to_o be_v particular_a church_n and_o all_o the_o parishiones_fw-la to_o be_v member_n then_o either_o we_o must_v exercise_v the_o discipline_n which_o christ_n have_v command_v or_o not_o if_o not_o than_o we_o disobey_v our_o lord_n and_o master_n and_o own_o such_o a_o church_n as_o be_v utter_o uncapable_a of_o church-end_n and_o consequent_o of_o the_o essence_n see_v that_o it_o be_v a_o relative_n government_n 2._o we_o shall_v betray_v the_o church_n to_o licentiousness_n and_o 3._o we_o shall_v set_v up_o a_o new_a churchway_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o that_o which_o have_v be_v practise_v in_o all_o age_n from_o the_o apostle_n day_n till_o impiety_n have_v overspread_v the_o christian_a world_n he_o that_o dare_v take_v on_o he_o to_o be_v a_o overseer_n and_o ruler_n of_o the_o church_n and_o not_o to_o oversee_v and_o rule_v it_o and_o dare_v settle_v on_o such_o a_o church-state_n as_o be_v uncapable_a of_o discipline_n be_v so_o perfidious_a to_o christ_n and_o venture_v so_o bold_o to_o make_v the_o church_n another_o thing_n that_o i_o be_o resolve_v not_o to_o be_v his_o follower_n but_o if_o we_o shall_v exercise_v the_o discipline_n of_o christ_n upon_o all_o in_o our_o ordinary_a parish_n what_o work_n shall_v we_o make_v i_o will_v tell_v you_o what_o work_n from_o so_o much_o experience_n as_o that_o no_o reason_v can_v any_o more_o persuade_v i_o to_o believe_v the_o contrary_a than_o that_o wormwood_n be_v not_o bitter_a or_o snow_v not_o cold_a 1._o we_o shall_v have_v such_o a_o multitude_n to_o excommunicate_v or_o reject_v that_o it_o will_v the_o duty_n the_o require_v and_o approve_v their_o profession_n we_o be_v false_a to_o our_o trust_n and_o the_o church_n of_o god_n if_o to_o avoid_v disturbance_n we_o will_v confound_v believer_n and_o infidel_n and_o destroy_v the_o nature_n of_o the_o church_n and_o ordinance_n under_o pretence_n of_o the_o people_n good_a object_n but_o it_o will_v be_v your_o only_a sure_a and_o happy_a
