fit_a to_o be_v use_v in_o the_o education_n of_o those_o we_o will_v have_v wise_a good_a and_o ingenuous_a man_n and_o therefore_o very_o rare_o to_o be_v apply_v and_o that_o only_a in_o great_a occasion_n and_o case_n of_o extremity_n on_o the_o other_o side_n to_o flatter_v child_n by_o reward_n of_o thing_n that_o be_v pleasant_a to_o they_o be_v as_o careful_o to_o be_v avoid_v he_o that_o will_v give_v his_o son_n apple_n or_o sugar-plumb_n or_o what_o else_o of_o this_o kind_n he_o be_v most_o delight_v with_o to_o make_v he_o learn_v his_o book_n do_v but_o authorise_v his_o love_n of_o pleasure_n and_o cocker_v up_o that_o dangerous_a propensitie_n which_o he_o ought_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o subdue_v and_o stifle_v in_o he_o you_o can_v never_o hope_v to_o teach_v he_o the_o performance_n of_o some_o of_o his_o little_a task_n what_o do_v you_o by_o propose_v these_o as_o reward_n but_o allow_v they_o to_o be_v the_o good_a thing_n he_o shall_v aim_v at_o and_o thereby_o encourage_v his_o longing_n for_o they_o and_o accustom_v he_o to_o place_v his_o happiness_n in_o they_o thus_o people_n to_o prevail_v with_o child_n to_o be_v industrious_a about_o their_o grammar_n dance_a or_o some_o other_o such_o matter_n of_o no_o great_a moment_n to_o the_o happiness_n or_o ufefullness_n of_o their_o life_n by_o misapply_v reward_n and_o punishment_n sacrifice_v their_o virtue_n invert_v the_o order_n of_o their_o education_n and_o teach_v they_o luxury_n pride_n or_o covetousness_n etc._n etc._n for_o in_o this_o way_n flatter_v those_o wrong_a inclination_n which_o they_o shall_v restrain_v and_o suppress_v they_o lay_v the_o foundation_n of_o those_o future_a vice_n which_o can_v be_v avoid_v but_o by_o curb_v our_o desire_n and_o accustom_v they_o early_o to_o submit_v to_o reason_n §_o 52._o i_o say_v not_o this_o that_o i_o will_v have_v child_n keep_v from_o the_o convenience_n or_o pleasure_n of_o life_n that_o be_v not_o injurious_a to_o their_o health_n or_o virtue_n on_o the_o contrary_a i_o will_v have_v their_o life_n make_v as_o pleasant_a and_o as_o agreeable_a to_o they_o as_o may_v be_v in_o a_o plentiful_a enjoyment_n of_o whatsoever_o may_v innocent_o delight_v they_o provide_v it_o be_v with_o this_o caution_n that_o they_o have_v those_o enjoyment_n only_o as_o the_o consequence_n of_o the_o state_n of_o esteem_n and_o acceptation_n they_o be_v in_o with_o their_o
