of_o the_o cause_n which_o move_v job_n to_o sacrifice_v for_o his_o son_n set_v down_o in_o these_o word_n job_n think_v it_o may_v be_v that_o my_o son_n have_v blaspheme_v god_n in_o their_o heart_n he_o be_v glad_a good_a man_n to_o see_v his_o child_n agree_v so_o well_o together_o but_o he_o will_v have_v they_o merry_a and_o sin_n not_o and_o therefore_o he_o put_v they_o in_o mind_n every_o day_n while_o they_o feast_v to_o sanctify_v themselves_o he_o condemn_v not_o honest_a mirth_n and_o sober_a feast_n to_o maintain_v amity_n and_o peace_n but_o be_v thorough_o acquaint_v with_o man_n infirmity_n this_o show_v that_o he_o have_v observe_v never_o any_o feast_n so_o due_o celebrate_v but_o some_o disorder_n or_o other_o have_v creep_v in_o whereby_o god_n have_v be_v dishonour_v at_o his_o own_o table_n either_o for_o superfluity_n of_o meat_n or_o excess_n of_o drink_n or_o unchaste_a song_n or_o corrupt_a speech_n or_o wanton_a dance_n or_o unseemly_a dalliance_n the_o devil_n have_v be_v still_o at_o one_o end_n &_o be_v light_o the_o master_n of_o the_o feast_n therefore_o job_n think_v with_o himself_o it_o may_v be_v that_o my_o son_n have_v commit_v some_o escape_n like_o other_o man_n i_o can_v tell_v they_o be_v but_o man_n it_o be_v easy_a to_o slip_v when_o occasion_n be_v ready_a though_o they_o think_v not_o to_o offend_v he_o have_v no_o apparent_a cause_n to_o suspect_v they_o and_o therefore_o he_o speak_v in_o the_o doubt_a phrase_n it_o may_v be_v that_o they_o have_v sin_v it_o be_v better_a to_o be_v fearful_a than_o too_o secure_a that_o which_o happen_v often_o in_o the_o like_a case_n he_o may_v well_o doubt_v of_o it_o though_o he_o have_v warn_v they_o before_o therefore_o his_o heart_n be_v not_o quiet_a but_o still_o this_o run_v in_o his_o mind_n all_o the_o while_o they_o feast_v it_o may_v be_v that_o my_o son_n sin_n how_o wary_a be_v job_n over_o himself_o which_o be_v so_o jealous_a over_o his_o son_n lest_o one_o sin_n shall_v slip_v from_o they_o nay_o if_o you_o mark_v he_o speak_v not_o of_o any_o open_a or_o gross_a sin_n which_o he_o fear_v but_o he_o speak_v of_o a_o sin_n in_o the_o thought_n it_o may_v be_v that_o my_o son_n have_v blaspheme_v god_n in_o their_o heart_n blasphemy_n be_v proper_o in_o the_o mouth_n when_o a_o man_n speak_v against_o god_n as_o rabshakeh_n do_v but_o job_n have_v a_o further_a respect_n to_o a_o blasphemy_n of_o the_o heart_n count_v every_o sinister_a affection_n of_o the_o heart_n as_o it_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o blasphemy_n or_o petty_a treason_n thus_o the_o penitent_a man_n do_v aggravate_v his_o sin_n and_o retch_v they_o as_o it_o be_v upon_o the_o rack_n to_o make_v his_o small_a sin_n seem_v great_a sin_n that_o he_o may_v beware_v as_o well_o of_o small_a as_o great_a contrariwise_o the_o profane_a and_o carnal_a mind_a man_n do_v minâ—e_v and_o flatter_v and_o extenuate_v his_o sin_n as_o though_o they_o be_v no_o sin_n because_o they_o shall_v not_o trouble_v he_o for_o this_o sin_n which_o job_n call_v blasphemy_n which_o be_v the_o high_a name_n of_o sin_n the_o papist_n call_v but_o a_o venial_a sin_n son_n have_v sin_v or_o it_o may_v be_v that_o myself_o have_v sin_v which_o i_o may_v proper_o and_o right_o term_v the_o jealousy_n of_o a_o holy_a man_n wherein_o job_n show_v in_o what_o fear_v he_o stand_v of_o his_o son_n so_o long_o as_o their_o feast_n last_v even_o as_o a_o merchant_n do_v till_o his_o ship_n come_v home_o first_o we_o may_v see_v this_o that_o the_o best_a thing_n may_v soon_o be_v corrupt_v by_o the_o wickedness_n of_o man_n such_o be_v our_o nature_n ever_o since_o adam_n choose_v evil_a before_o good_a good_a have_v be_v turn_v into_o evil_n gen._n 3._o notwithstanding_o that_o our_o intent_n and_o meaning_n be_v good_a as_o for_o example_n when_o a_o husband_n love_v his_o wife_n or_o a_o father_n love_v his_o child_n these_o be_v good_a &_o holy_a and_o commendable_a thing_n yet_o there_o be_v no_o man_n can_v be_v find_v that_o do_v love_v his_o wife_n or_o his_o child_n with_o that_o evenness_n as_o i_o may_v call_v it_o or_o just_a proportion_n but_o that_o there_o be_v some_o odds_n in_o the_o balance_n when_o his_o affection_n be_v weigh_v which_o may_v crave_v pardon_n like_o the_o feast_n of_o job_n child_n if_o this_o odds_n be_v in_o all_o our_o measure_n than_o it_o be_v no_o strange_a case_n that_o job_n think_v with_o himself_o that_o his_o child_n may_v offend_v god_n in_o the_o thing_n that_o of_o itself_o of_o fend_v not_o therefore_o it_o be_v good_a for_o a_o man_n so_o long_o as_o he_o live_v in_o this_o world_n to_o remember_v still_o that_o he_o be_v among_o temptation_n and_o sit_v at_o a_o feast_n like_o job_n child_n where_o he_o may_v soon_o take_v too_o much_o if_o the_o fish_n do_v know_v the_o hook_n &_o the_o bird_n have_v see_v the_o net_n though_o they_o have_v but_o the_o understanding_n of_o fish_n and_o bird_n yet_o they_o will_v let_v the_o hook_n alone_o and_o fly_v over_o the_o net_n and_o let_v the_o foul_a whistle_n to_o himself_o so_o we_o must_v look_v upon_o our_o riches_n as_o we_o look_v upon_o snare_n and_o behold_v our_o meat_n as_o we_o behold_v bait_n &_o handle_v our_o pleasure_n as_o we_o handle_v bee_n that_o be_v pick_v out_o the_o sting_n before_o we_o take_v the_o honey_n for_o in_o god_n gift_n satan_n have_v hide_v his_o snare_n and_o make_v god_n benefit_n his_o bait_n that_o as_o adam_n say_v the_o woman_n which_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o tempt_v i_o to_o sin_n so_o they_o may_v say_v the_o riches_n or_o the_o honour_n or_o the_o liberty_n or_o the_o wife_n or_o the_o servant_n or_o the_o child_n or_o the_o meat_n or_o the_o wit_n or_o the_o beauty_n which_o thou_o have_v give_v i_o tempt_v i_o to_o sin_n so_o many_o sin_n lie_v in_o wait_n for_o we_o about_o our_o meat_n and_o drink_n &_o bed_n &_o way_n that_o unless_o we_o watch_v pray_v and_o look_v about_o we_o at_o every_o time_n it_o may_v be_v as_o job_n say_v that_o we_o may_v sin_v in_o our_o do_n or_o in_o our_o say_n or_o at_o least_o in_o our_o heart_n as_o he_o think_v of_o his_o son_n therefore_o no_o doubt_n but_o as_o job_n think_v that_o his_o son_n may_v offend_v in_o their_o feast_n so_o he_o teach_v they_o even_o when_o they_o be_v feast_v and_o when_o they_o sit_v at_o the_o table_n and_o when_o they_o drink_v one_o to_o another_o to_o think_v oftentimes_o we_o may_v sin_v as_o our_o father_n tell_v we_o which_o bridle_v their_o mirth_n &_o stop_v many_o word_n at_o the_o door_n even_o when_o sin_n be_v at_o the_o tongue_n end_n you_o be_v not_o job_n son_n but_o you_o be_v come_v to_o be_v job_n scholar_n therefore_o learn_v that_o which_o his_o child_n learned_a if_o a_o man_n do_v but_o carry_v this_o watchword_n with_o he_o whensoever_o he_o eat_v or_o speak_v or_o bargain_v it_o will_v cut_v off_o a_o thousand_o idle_a word_n and_o wicked_a act_n in_o one_o
