and_o direct_o that_o his_o son_n isaac_n be_v the_o child_n in_o who_o he_o will_v accomplish_v and_o make_v good_a his_o promise_n concern_v mercy_n grace_n righteousness_n and_o salvation_n in_o election_n and_o though_o they_o be_v reject_v there_o be_v no_o breach_n of_o the_o promise_n of_o the_o lord_n of_o which_o the_o apostle_n treat_v in_o this_o chapter_n now_o we_o be_v to_o observe_v in_o the_o first_o place_n touch_v these_o word_n they_o be_v consider_v as_o you_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o abraham_n thus_o much_o that_o god_n in_o these_o word_n make_v know_v unto_o abraham_n a_o great_a difference_n that_o be_v between_o his_o two_o son_n ishmael_n and_o isaac_n such_o a_o difference_n as_o abraham_n do_v not_o think_v upon_o nor_o can_v not_o take_v notice_n of_o until_o god_n do_v make_v it_o know_v abraham_n without_o question_n do_v judge_n both_o of_o his_o son_n to_o be_v in_o the_o same_o estate_n ishmael_n and_o isaac_n to_o be_v in_o understand_v not_o only_o of_o the_o ignorant_a and_o common_a sort_n of_o people_n the_o laity_n but_o the_o learned_a among_o themselves_o they_o can_v tell_v when_o they_o have_v the_o true_a sense_n and_o meaning_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n no_o not_o of_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v fundamental_a unless_o the_o church_n consent_n with_o they_o nay_o the_o great_a rabbin_n and_o doctor_n among_o we_o can_v understand_v the_o scripture_n without_o consent_n of_o the_o church_n oh_o consider_v have_v god_n send_v unto_o we_o his_o word_n as_o a_o letter_n and_o epistle_n to_o testify_v his_o mind_n unto_o we_o and_o unto_o his_o church_n and_o have_v he_o shut_v it_o up_o in_o such_o doubtful_a term_n that_o a_o man_n can_v tell_v when_o he_o have_v the_o understanding_n of_o it_o he_o send_v it_o to_o testify_v his_o mind_n and_o will_n unto_o we_o and_o have_v he_o so_o shut_v it_o up_o that_o we_o can_v tell_v when_o we_o have_v the_o sense_n of_o it_o oh_o fearful_a blasphemy_n why_o it_o be_v better_a that_o we_o have_v no_o scripture_n write_v at_o all_o far_o better_o then_o to_o have_v it_o so_o doubtful_a but_o there_o be_v no_o jot_n of_o it_o but_o serve_v for_o the_o good_a of_o his_o people_n both_o in_o this_o life_n and_o the_o life_n to_o come_v god_n have_v so_o order_v the_o tongue_n of_o the_o holy_a writer_n and_o penman_n of_o scripture_n his_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n that_o the_o meaning_n be_v easy_a to_o be_v understand_v by_o such_o as_o come_v unto_o it_o with_o attentive_a mind_n that_o do_v read_v diligent_o mark_v attentive_o judge_v humble_o and_o pray_v hearty_o use_v 2_o but_o to_o make_v use_n of_o this_o to_o ourselves_o be_v it_o so_o that_o the_o holy_a prophet_n and_o penman_n of_o scripture_n do_v deliver_v plain_o in_o one_o place_n what_o be_v hard_a in_o another_o upon_o this_o ground_n it_o follow_v that_o the_o best_a way_n of_o expound_v scripture_n be_v by_o scripture_n itself_o we_o common_o give_v thus_o much_o to_o a_o man_n that_o he_o be_v the_o best_a expounder_n of_o himself_o so_o then_o learn_v we_o to_o apply_v and_o compare_v scripture_n with_o scripture_n and_o in_o that_o we_o and_o here_o we_o see_v that_o god_n do_v not_o only_a love_n jacob_n for_o the_o time_n present_a but_o also_o love_v he_o from_o everlasting_a hence_o i_o observe_v thus_o much_o brief_o doctrine_n that_o god_n choose_v they_o be_v always_o belove_v of_o god_n there_o can_v be_v no_o time_n give_v wherein_o god_n choose_v be_v not_o belove_v of_o god_n god_n love_v his_o choose_a before_o they_o his_o choose_a use_v 2_o sure_o then_o upon_o this_o ground_n we_o may_v conclude_v to_o our_o comfort_n we_o be_v such_o that_o belong_v to_o god_n election_n that_o god_n love_n shall_v be_v continue_v unto_o we_o for_o ever_o as_o god_n love_n unto_o we_o unto_o life_n and_o salvation_n have_v no_o beginning_n but_o be_v eternal_a so_o also_o it_o shall_v be_v without_o end_n as_o we_o can_v point_v out_o the_o time_n of_o beginning_n no_o more_o can_v we_o of_o the_o continuance_n but_o as_o god_n have_v love_v we_o from_o everlasting_a so_o doubtless_o he_o go_v on_o not_o only_o
