the_o twelve_o cause_n of_o amendment_n take_v of_o this_o that_o by_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n be_v signify_v the_o most_o bless_a felicity_n of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n in_o we_o and_o the_o holy_a ministry_n in_o the_o church_n chap._n 12._o this_o be_v one_o thing_n worthy_a the_o note_n that_o by_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n or_o of_o god_n be_v in_o we_o we_o be_v assure_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n and_o in_o deed_n these_o be_v as_o it_o be_v two_o step_n to_o climb_v up_o and_o two_o gate_n which_o we_o must_v pass_v through_o to_o get_v in_o and_o therefore_o who_o so_o desire_v to_o be_v resolve_v whether_o he_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o the_o elect_a and_o heir_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n let_v he_o seek_v the_o certainty_n &_o knowledge_n thereof_o in_o himself_o for_o if_o he_o be_v a_o member_n of_o the_o church_n and_o enjoy_v the_o holy_a ministry_n man_n may_v have_v some_o ground_n and_o be_v even_o bind_v to_o account_v he_o a_o child_n of_o god_n belong_v to_o his_o kingdom_n but_o if_o he_o be_v get_v up_o the_o second_o step_n and_o seel_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n in_o his_o heart_n let_v he_o be_v assure_v that_o god_n account_v he_o his_o child_n and_o that_o he_o shall_v enter_v into_o his_o kingdom_n of_o eternal_a glory_n now_o as_o there_o be_v no_o great_a felicity_n than_o to_o enjoy_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n so_o be_v there_o nothing_o to_o be_v more_o desire_v than_o to_o enter_v through_o both_o the_o first_o and_o second_o gate_n of_o this_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n this_o be_v one_o sharp_a spur_n to_o induce_v we_o to_o practice_v this_o commandment_n of_o jesus_n christ_n first_o seek_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n 6.36_o math._n 6.36_o and_o the_o righteousness_n thereof_o and_o consequent_o let_v we_o amend_v our_o life_n for_o if_o the_o apprehension_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o glory_n desire_v and_o so_o earnest_o seek_v forâ—_n as_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n that_o be_v to_o enjoy_v the_o holy_a ministry_n in_o the_o church_n and_o by_o the_o use_n thereof_o to_o establish_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n in_o we_o and_o thereby_o final_o to_o enter_v into_o the_o fruition_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n in_o heaven_n 2_o but_o ordinary_o we_o do_v the_o contrary_n we_o seek_v first_o the_o thing_n that_o concern_v this_o present_a life_n and_o as_o for_o those_o that_o belong_v to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n we_o seek_v after_o they_o but_o seldom_o slight_o and_o as_o it_o be_v for_o a_o fashion_n our_o reason_n because_o we_o do_v natural_o love_v the_o body_n more_o than_o the_o soul_n and_o the_o good_n and_o commodity_n of_o this_o temporal_a life_n more_o than_o the_o treasure_n of_o spiritual_a riches_n we_o resemble_v little_a child_n that_o esteem_v more_o of_o a_o apple_n or_o morsel_n of_o sugar_n than_o of_o a_o assurance_n of_o rent_n neither_o need_v we_o to_o open_v our_o eye_n very_o wide_a or_o to_o use_v any_o spectacle_n to_o see_v this_o corruption_n in_o man_n experience_n do_v but_o too_o plain_o show_v it_o and_o for_o our_o more_o manifest_a conviction_n hereof_o let_v we_o consider_v five_o proof_n which_o we_o may_v note_v upon_o all_o the_o finger_n of_o one_o of_o our_o hand_n that_o we_o may_v the_o better_a remember_v they_o and_o so_o take_v some_o care_n to_o correct_v they_o first_o whereupon_o we_o do_v first_o think_v when_o we_o wake_v that_o be_v what_o be_v near_a to_o our_o hand_n for_o sometime_o even_o the_o care_n of_o some_o matter_n do_v waken_v us._n if_o thou_o find_v that_o thy_o first_o cogitation_n when_o thou_o do_v awake_a be_v such_o as_o concern_v the_o body_n and_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n and_o the_o righteousness_n thereof_o so_o far_o be_v they_o from_o seek_v it_o rather_o than_o the_o riches_n &_o commodity_n of_o the_o flesh_n wherewith_o they_o be_v better_o acquaint_v and_o which_o natural_o they_o do_v more_o desire_n the_o four_o rest_v in_o the_o care_n which_o without_o comparison_n be_v great_a for_o the_o preservation_n of_o the_o body_n and_o this_o life_n present_a than_o for_o the_o keep_n of_o the_o soul_n or_o any_o thing_n that_o concern_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n and_o indeed_o all_o man_n do_v take_v more_o care_n to_o nourish_v the_o body_n than_o the_o soul_n also_o to_o prevent_v the_o disease_n or_o wound_n of_o the_o body_n rather_o than_o of_o the_o soul_n the_o five_o consist_v in_o this_o that_o according_a as_o our_o love_n or_o inclination_n to_o any_o thing_n be_v great_a or_o small_a so_o be_v our_o sorrow_n for_o the_o loss_n thereof_o more_o or_o less_o if_o through_o drunkenness_n
