that_o pertain_v to_o this_o present_a life_n of_o man_n furthermore_o they_o have_v also_o trade_n and_o handicraft_n as_o one_o be_v a_o baker_n another_o a_o ploughman_n another_o a_o shoemaker_n and_o another_o a_o clothy_a and_o all_o these_o trade_n be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n and_o they_o be_v common_a as_o well_o to_o the_o unbeliever_n as_o to_o the_o faithful_a who_o god_n have_v enlighten_v by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n howbeit_o such_o gift_n serve_v but_o for_o man_n because_o mankind_n can_v not_o be_v maintain_v in_o his_o state_n without_o such_o help_n and_o mean_n you_o see_v then_o in_o effect_n that_o the_o thing_n which_o we_o have_v too_o remember_v be_v that_o although_o there_o be_v a_o great_a number_n of_o secret_n in_o nature_n and_o that_o the_o thing_n be_v high_a which_o belong_v to_o this_o present_a life_n yet_o have_v god_n give_v man_n ability_n to_o attain_v unto_o they_o as_o for_o example_n to_o speak_v of_o some_o handicraft_n before_o a_o man_n come_v to_o be_v cunning_a in_o the_o occupation_n he_o shall_v find_v strange_a thing_n yea_o there_o be_v some_o work_v that_o require_v such_o cunning_a as_o you_o will_v wonder_v how_o be_v this_o possible_a to_o be_v do_v will_n man_n say_v how_o can_v man_n know_v where_o gold_n lie_v in_o the_o earth_n behold_v man_n make_v salt_n of_o water_n how_o come_v that_o to_o pass_v sure_o even_o because_o god_n have_v give_v man_n the_o skill_n again_o what_o be_v the_o gold_n and_o the_o silver_n that_o be_v speak_v of_o here_o behold_v the_o mettle_n be_v mingle_v with_o earth_n it_o all_o proud_a folk_n misbehave_v themselves_o for_o they_o bear_v themselves_o in_o hand_n that_o because_o they_o be_v sharp_a witted_a and_o subtle_a in_o these_o low_a thing_n they_o be_v able_a also_o to_o judge_v of_o all_o god_n secret_n of_o the_o whole_a doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o of_o the_o gospel_n but_o god_n make_v they_o double_a blind_a when_o they_o discern_v the_o thing_n that_o concern_v and_o belong_v here_o to_o this_o earthly_a life_n yet_o be_v it_o not_o to_o be_v say_v that_o we_o be_v able_a to_o mount_v up_o into_o heaven_n and_o to_o enter_v into_o god_n secret_a determination_n and_o to_o convey_v that_o thing_n into_o our_o wit_n and_o brain_n which_o our_o lord_n hide_v in_o himself_o too_o be_v short_a let_v we_o assure_v ourselves_o that_o all_o thing_n which_o concern_v the_o everlasting_a life_n be_v far_o above_o our_o reach_n and_o that_o our_o lord_n must_v be_v fain_o to_o work_v in_o we_o yea_o even_o supernatural_o and_o not_o only_o too_o enlighten_v we_o after_o the_o manner_n of_o man_n but_o also_o too_o give_v we_o the_o new_a light_n which_o be_v hide_v from_o we_o because_o it_o proceed_v of_o the_o say_a spirit_n of_o adoption_n where_o of_o i_o have_v speak_v furthermore_o â–ª_o sith_o it_o be_v so_o let_v we_o consider_v what_o man_v free_a will_n be_v and_o how_o mad_a they_o be_v that_o will_v maintain_v themselves_o by_o it_o for_o if_o we_o have_v free_a will_v too_o guide_v ourselves_o too_o godward_o and_o to_o attain_v to_o everlasting_a life_n it_o will_v follow_v of_o care_n sometime_o with_o adversity_n and_o sometime_o with_o some_o danger_n therefore_o let_v we_o think_v upon_o it_o herewithal_o let_v we_o understand_v also_o that_o we_o must_v fight_v against_o the_o lust_n of_o our_o own_o flesh_n but_o notwithstanding_o all_o distress_n yet_o must_v we_o still_o wait_v for_o our_o change_n thus_o you_o see_v what_o we_o have_v too_o bear_v away_o in_o cause_n to_o complain_v as_o though_o he_o be_v righteous_a and_o that_o god_n notwithstanding_o that_o the_o punishment_n be_v due_a unto_o his_o father_n cause_v it_o to_o fall_v upon_o he_o who_o but_o must_v quiet_v our_o mind_n and_o stay_v our_o judgement_n until_o god_n show_v that_o his_o time_n be_v come_v it_o become_v not_o we_o then_o to_o appoint_v the_o time_n man_n be_v froward_a we_o must_v hereunto_o apply_v our_o whole_a study_n for_o man_n of_o their_o own_o nature_n be_v so_o hasty_a and_o impatient_a that_o they_o will_v have_v god_n too_o set_v before_o their_o eye_n god_n have_v give_v they_o a_o privilege_n above_o all_o other_o man_n well_o let_v we_o wait_v still_o and_o why_o for_o here_o be_v mention_v make_v of_o reserve_v or_o of_o hide_v we_o see_v not_o yet_o what_o be_v mean_v by_o it_o and_o therefore_o let_v we_o take_v heed_n that_o we_o judge_v not_o of_o thing_n unknown_a for_o so_o may_v we_o be_v reprove_v of_o rashness_n but_o when_o shall_v we_o see_v when_o it_o shall_v please_v god_n to_o open_v our_o eye_n and_o too_o

they_o pray_v unto_o he_o if_o he_o pleasure_v they_o not_o by_o and_o by_o if_o he_o perform_v not_o their_o desire_n without_o delay_n they_o think_v they_o have_v lose_v their_o time_n and_o so_o we_o see_v that_o the_o fashion_n of_o pray_v a_o right_a be_v first_o not_o to_o tarry_v till_o extremity_n compel_v we_o but_o rather_o to_o be_v do_v aforehand_o as_o need_n be_v that_o we_o avail_v awhit_o by_o pray_v but_o rather_o that_o god_n be_v deaf_a to_o our_o request_n yet_o notwithstanding_o let_v we_o hold_v on_o still_o &_o not_o leave_v off_o but_o when_o we_o have_v sigh_v &_o sob_v to_o day_n if_o we_o feel_v no_o assuagement_n by_o it_o let_v we_o return_v to_o the_o same_o remedy_n again_o tomorrow_o in_o good_a faith_n you_o see_v that_o although_o a_o sick_a talk_n of_o god_n we_o will_v fain_v that_o it_o be_v quick_o at_o a_o end_n i_o say_v it_o be_v ill_o with_o we_o if_o our_o lord_n make_v we_o not_o to_o feel_v the_o sweetness_n that_o we_o find_v in_o he_o for_o he_o that_o have_v once_o taste_v of_o that_o can_v never_o have_v his_o fill_n of_o talk_v of_o god_n but_o will_v prefer_v the_o mind_v and_o muse_v upon_o god_n before_o all_o the_o pleasure_n in_o the_o world_n but_o as_o for_o those_o that_o be_v give_v to_o vanity_n they_o stand_v upon_o thorn_n till_o they_o be_v go_v when_o there_o be_v any_o speak_n of_o god_n and_o why_o for_o that_o be_v a_o melancholic_a matter_n too_o they_o and_o true_o we_o see_v that_o both_o in_o feast_v and_o in_o talk_v &_o in_o such_o other_o like_o thing_n it_o be_v but_o a_o trouble_n to_o the_o whole_a company_n to_o have_v mention_n make_v of_o god_n therefore_o let_v we_o not_o think_v it_o strange_a that_o god_n pronounce_v this_o horrible_a curse_n against_o the_o mirth_n of_o the_o world_n see_v it_o be_v so_o froward_a that_o it_o run_v quite_o out_o of_o square_a from_o the_o right_a way_n and_o keep_v not_o itself_o within_o any_o bound_n nor_o can_v be_v merry_a but_o in_o all_o wantonness_n and_o disorder_n so_o then_o let_v we_o come_v back_o too_o that_o which_o be_v say_v in_o the_o law_n thou_o shall_v be_v merry_a in_o the_o presence_n of_o thy_o god._n too_o man_n but_o the_o world_n see_v that_o the_o mischief_n do_v so_o overflow_v as_o it_o be_v pitiful_a the_o very_a air_n stink_v of_o it_o and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o these_o good_a catholic_n that_o will_v be_v take_v for_o good_a christian_n and_o have_v always_o the_o gospel_n in_o their_o mouth_n yea_o too_o bite_v it_o like_o masty_a dog_n that_o be_v mad_a will_v that_o man_n shall_v still_o dissemble_v it_o and_o they_o think_v that_o man_n do_v they_o great_a wrong_n to_o discover_v their_o lewdness_n which_o to_o say_v truth_n be_v not_o discover_v by_o we_o but_o only_o speak_v of_o because_o all_o man_n know_v it_o yet_o nevertheless_o as_o i_o have_v say_v they_o that_o can_v nowadays_o abide_v that_o god_n shall_v lay_v open_a their_o lewdness_n to_o the_o end_n that_o they_o may_v be_v ashamed_a of_o it_o and_o repent_v it_o shall_v feel_v in_o the_o end_n that_o they_o must_v be_v fain_o too_o come_v before_o his_o judgement_n seat_n where_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o more_o darkness_n nor_o mist_n to_o hide_v they_o so_o then_o let_v we_o understand_v that_o it_o be_v great_o for_o our_o profit_n that_o god_n do_v nowadays_o send_v we_o his_o word_n too_o enlighten_v we_o that_o we_o may_v well_o bethink_v we_o of_o our_o sin_n insomuch_o that_o although_o we_o have_v not_o know_v they_o for_o a_o time_n yet_o they_o may_v come_v too_o our_o power_n and_o affectualnesse_n in_o his_o word_n as_o we_o endeavour_n too_o examine_v our_o whole_a life_n thorough_o to_o the_o end_n to_o mislike_v of_o it_o but_o as_o for_o those_o that_o be_v stubborn_a and_o despise_v god_n and_o come_v like_o distraught_a man_n to_o justle_v against_o he_o and_o can_v abide_v any_o warning_n he_o must_v send_v they_o as_o unreasonable_a folk_n to_o the_o day_n whereof_o eliu_n speak_v here_o wherein_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o darkness_n nor_o covert_n so_o close_o but_o it_o shall_v be_v lay_v wide_o open_a yea_o even_o before_o all_o creature_n they_o can_v now_o endure_v that_o god_n shall_v make_v they_o ashamed_a to_o the_o end_n to_o bury_v their_o sin_n for_o ever_o howbeit_o spite_n of_o their_o tooth_n both_o angel_n man_n and_o devil_n must_v know_v their_o wickedness_n and_o they_o must_v be_v ashamed_a every_o where_o by_o the_o power_n of_o this_o light_n which_o shall_v discover_v all_o secret_n thus_o you_o see_v how_o we_o ought_v too_o apply_v this_o text_n too_o our_o instruction_n for_o sure_o our_o lord_n threatniug_v of_o man_n with_o the_o great_a day_n be_v too_o the_o end_n they_o shall_v prevent_v it_o and_o so_o the_o remedy_n be_v ready_a for_o we_o as_o i_o have_v erst_o say_v god_n delay_v not_o the_o indite_v of_o we_o till_o we_o appear_v before_o he_o altogether_o but_o he_o execute_v his_o jurisdiction_n daily_o by_o the_o gospel_n according_a also_o as_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n say_v that_o when_o the_o holy_a ghost_n come_v he_o shall_v judge_v the_o world_n therefore_o when_o the_o gospel_n be_v preach_v then_o do_v god_n execute_v a_o sovereign_a jurisdiction_n not_o proper_o upon_o man_n body_n as_o they_o be_v at_o this_o day_n but_o upon_o their_o soul_n and_o he_o he_o will_v not_o in_o this_o case_n appear_v as_o our_o counterparty_n true_a it_o be_v as_o i_o have_v declare_v afore_o that_o he_o will_v doubtless_o come_v thither_o but_o to_o what_o end_n even_o to_o show_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v tell_v we_o here_o that_o be_v to_o wit_n that_o although_o we_o have_v the_o power_n to_o city_v god_n and_o that_o he_o be_v to_o make_v answer_n so_o as_o he_o be_v bind_v to_o clear_v himself_o of_o all_o his_o do_n and_o we_o may_v have_v our_o tongue_n at_o will_n to_o speak_v against_o he_o yet_o will_v that_o stand_v we_o in_o no_o stead_n for_o it_o the_o end_n when_o it_o come_v to_o the_o upshot_n it_o will_v be_v find_v that_o god_n have_v not_o charge_v we_o too_o sore_o nor_o above_o reason_n and_o why_o because_o our_o sin_n be_v know_v unto_o he_o and_o so_o know_v as_o he_o can_v tell_v what_o measure_n
