towards_o they_o but_o this_o common_a sense_n and_o feel_v of_o his_o grace_n be_v so_o distinguish_v from_o that_o comfortable_a assurance_n of_o god_n spirit_n which_o be_v in_o the_o elect_a that_o the_o wicked_a come_v never_o to_o that_o sound_n comfort_n and_o joy_n which_o adoption_n bring_v with_o it_o for_o god_n do_v not_o so_o far_o show_v himself_o favourable_a unto_o they_o as_o to_o take_v they_o into_o his_o guard_n and_o keep_v as_o though_o they_o be_v quite_o deliver_v from_o the_o punishment_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o from_o the_o fear_n of_o eternal_a death_n and_o damnation_n but_o only_o for_o the_o present_a time_n god_n do_v give_v they_o a_o taste_n of_o his_o mercy_n neither_o be_v it_o amiss_o that_o god_n do_v lighten_v the_o mind_n of_o the_o wicked_a with_o some_o feel_v of_o his_o gracious_a favour_n the_o which_o anon_o wither_v and_o vanish_v away_o through_o the_o hardness_n of_o their_o heart_n through_o their_o unsteadfast_a mind_n and_o through_o their_o own_o unthankfulness_n and_o backslide_v whereby_o they_o make_v themselves_o more_o culpable_a and_o the_o more_o inexcusable_a all_o which_o be_v wonderful_o bring_v to_o pass_v by_o the_o manifold_a wisdom_n of_o god_n that_o spirit_n of_o we_o which_o the_o apostle_n talk_v off_o be_v a_o renew_a heart_n and_o a_o sanctify_a mind_n that_o full_o and_o perfect_o receive_v god_n good_a spirit_n to_o move_v we_o thereunto_o as_o also_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a may_v know_v themselves_o to_o be_v far_o from_o adoption_n because_o they_o neither_o feel_v any_o such_o the_o world_n and_o such_o as_o be_v reckon_v to_o be_v the_o offscouring_n of_o all_o such_o as_o make_v least_o account_n of_o themselves_o even_o such_o and_o so_o many_o as_o shall_v be_v save_v so_o many_o as_o shall_v be_v heir_n go_v say_v christ_n to_o johns_n disciple_n math._n 11._o and_o show_v john_n what_o thing_n you_o have_v hear_v and_o see_v the_o blind_a receive_v their_o brethren_n say_v the_o apostle_n s._n james._n cap._n 2._o 5._o have_v not_o god_n choose_v the_o poor_a of_o the_o world_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v rich_a in_o faith_n and_o heir_n of_o the_o yet_o shall_v their_o lot_n and_o portion_n fall_v out_o in_o a_o large_a room_n in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n so_o that_o they_o may_v say_v with_o joy_n that_o they_o have_v a_o large_a inheritance_n their_o rag_n and_o poor_a estatehere_o shall_v be_v requite_v with_o royal_a robe_n elsewhere_o and_o they_o shall_v be_v heir_n in_o heaven_n which_o shall_v far_o surmount_v the_o estate_n and_o dignity_n of_o a_o king_n here_o on_o earth_n although_o it_o be_v as_o glorious_a and_o glister_a as_o ever_o be_v that_o of_o solomon_n who_o estate_n seem_v to_o be_v express_v by_o the_o word_n of_o the_o prophet_n although_o you_o have_v lie_v among_o the_o pot_n yet_o shall_v you_o be_v as_o the_o wing_n of_o a_o dove_n that_o be_v cover_v with_o silver_n wing_n and_o her_o feather_n like_o gold_n again_o they_o that_o think_v themselves_o the_o heir_n of_o god_n and_o the_o elder_a in_o holiness_n of_o life_n shall_v come_v far_o short_a such_o as_o hypocrite_n be_v and_o who_o holiness_n be_v but_o counterfeit_n and_o publican_n and_o harlot_n shall_v go_v before_o they_o into_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n because_o repentance_n be_v see_v in_o the_o
yea_o though_o we_o have_v know_v christ_n after_o the_o flesh_n yet_o now_o henceforth_o know_v we_o he_o no_o more_o our_o saviour_n christ_n when_o he_o depart_v from_o his_o apostle_n and_o be_v take_v away_o by_o death_n he_o take_v his_o leave_n of_o they_o but_o not_o his_o last_o farewell_n after_o a_o while_o you_o shall_v not_o see_v i_o and_o yet_o after_o a_o while_o you_o shall_v with_o he_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n a_o friend_n be_v depart_v far_o out_o of_o sight_n and_o abide_n in_o a_o strange_a land_n our_o heart_n and_o delight_n be_v settle_v upon_o he_o how_o earnest_n be_v our_o desire_n to_o see_v he_o and_o to_o talk_v with_o he_o and_o to_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n yea_o if_o we_o can_v hear_v but_o any_o talk_n or_o tiding_n of_o he_o or_o receive_v any_o token_n from_o he_o how_o great_o do_v it_o rejoice_v we_o and_o all_o be_v because_o of_o the_o doubt_n and_o fear_n that_o hold_v our_o mind_n that_o we_o shall_v see_v he_o no_o more_o but_o if_o our_o friend_n be_v desirous_a of_o our_o welfare_n and_o for_o the_o better_n of_o our_o estate_n do_v send_v we_o word_n what_o a_o fruitful_a soil_n he_o dwell_v in_o and_o how_o he_o can_v provide_v we_o if_o we_o will_v come_v unto_o he_o a_o place_n to_o dwell_v in_o so_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v to_o our_o great_a contentment_n and_o good_a like_n not_o only_o the_o joy_n of_o our_o friend_n presence_n will_v move_v our_o heart_n but_o also_o the_o better_n of_o our_o estate_n shall_v cause_v we_o to_o undertake_v a_o long_a journey_n and_o that_o without_o wearisomenesse_n and_o faint_a and_o when_o we_o meet_v what_o kiss_v what_o joy_n what_o embrace_v you_o shall_v see_v i_o a_o while_n say_v christ_n and_o after_o a_o while_o you_o shall_v not_o see_v i_o for_o i_o go_v to_o the_o father_n therefore_o he_o put_v forth_o this_o parable_n a_o certain_a noble_a man_n go_v into_o a_o far_a country_n to_o receive_v for_o himself_o a_o kingdom_n and_o so_o to_o come_v most_o careful_a for_o us._n and_o although_o a_o mother_n may_v forget_v her_o child_n yet_o will_v he_o not_o forget_v we_o who_o he_o have_v write_v in_o the_o palm_n of_o his_o hand_n and_o who_o he_o remember_v and_o behold_v as_o the_o signet_n on_o his_o right_a hand_n joh._n 14._o 2._o in_o my_o father_n house_n be_v many_o dwell_a place_n if_o it_o be_v not_o so_o i_o will_v have_v tell_v you_o i_o go_v to_o prepare_v a_o place_n for_o you_o also_o as_o well_o as_o for_o my_o self_n and_o though_o i_o go_v to_o prepare_v a_o place_n for_o you_o i_o will_v come_v again_o and_o receive_v you_o unto_o myself_o that_o where_o i_o be_o there_o may_v you_o be_v also_o now_o though_o he_o be_v absent_a from_o we_o yet_o he_o remember_v we_o and_o send_v we_o many_o token_n of_o his_o love_n to_o put_v we_o in_o mind_n that_o we_o shall_v come_v to_o his_o sight_n to_o our_o great_a comfort_n which_o token_n be_v his_o gift_n and_o grace_n benefit_n and_o blessing_n daily_o pour_v upon_o us._n but_o of_o all_o token_n this_o be_v the_o sure_a that_o he_o have_v send_v his_o holy_a spirit_n into_o our_o heart_n to_o witness_v unto_o our_o spirtite_n that_o we_o be_v his_o child_n and_o shall_v also_o in_o time_n to_o come_v be_v heir_n of_o the_o kingdom_n who_o although_o we_o do_v not_o present_o see_v yet_o be_v we_o in_o good_a hope_n that_o we_o shall_v see_v and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n we_o must_v with_o patience_n abide_v for_o it_o they_o shall_v see_v he_o which_o put_v he_o to_o death_n and_o pierce_v 39_o mat._n 23._o 39_o he_o through_o but_o it_o shall_v be_v little_a to_o their_o comfort_n but_o when_o we_o shall_v see_v he_o then_o shall_v our_o sorrow_n be_v turn_v into_o joy_n then_o shall_v we_o be_v catch_v up_o into_o the_o cloud_n to_o meet_v the_o lord_n in_o the_o air_n and_o so_o shall_v we_o be_v ever_o with_o the_o lord_n wherefore_o comfort_n yourselves_o say_v the_o apostle_n one_o another_o with_o these_o word_n and_o though_o as_o yet_o we_o can_v see_v christ_n yet_o the_o time_n shall_v come_v that_o we_o shall_v see_v he_o face_n to_o face_n in_o who_o presence_n be_v the_o fullness_n of_o joy_n and_o at_o who_o right_a hand_n be_v pleasure_n for_o evermore_o the_o next_o place_n of_o proof_n be_v in_o these_o word_n and_o your_o rejoice_v your_o heart_n shall_v rejoice_v heart_n shall_v rejoice_v up_o again_o with_o joy_n even_o at_o the_o sight_n of_o my_o presence_n in_o the_o sad_a and_o sorrowful_a winter_n all_o thing_n decay_v and_o come_v to_o nothing_o but_o when_o the_o joyful_a countenance_n of_o the_o sun_n at_o the_o spring_n time_n appear_v than_o every_o thing_n that_o lie_v dead_a and_o bury_v péer_v out_o of_o the_o ground_n and_o take_v heart_n and_o grow_v to_o strength_n and_o come_v to_o perfection_n so_o in_o the_o sorrowful_a day_n of_o this_o world_n the_o godly_a be_v abase_v but_o in_o the_o joyful_a time_n of_o deliverance_n when_o christ_n their_o only_a comforter_n shall_v appear_v in_o glory_n then_o shall_v their_o dead_a heart_n receive_v life_n and_o comfort_n and_o joy_n in_o respect_n whereof_o christ_n comfort_v his_o disciple_n say_v let_v not_o your_o heart_n be_v trouble_v confirm_v they_o by_o three_o reason_n the_o first_o from_o his_o love_n and_o the_o certainty_n of_o his_o promise_n you_o believe_v in_o god_n believe_v also_o in_o i_o which_o be_o ready_a not_o only_o to_o promise_v but_o also_o to_o perform_v what_o ever_o shall_v be_v for_o your_o good_a in_o the_o world_n you_o shall_v have_v trouble_n and_o from_o the_o friendly_a care_n that_o he_o have_v to_o provide_v for_o his_o disciple_n and_o for_o all_o the_o godly_a in_o my_o father_n house_n be_v many_o dwelling_n place_n and_o i_o go_v to_o prepare_v a_o place_n for_o you_o even_o for_o every_o one_o of_o you_o and_o if_o it_o have_v not_o be_v so_o you_o shall_v have_v know_v it_o long_o ere_o this_o the_o three_o reason_n seem_v most_o forcible_a because_o of_o the_o performance_n and_o present_a and_o full_a possession_n of_o his_o promise_n when_o i_o have_v prepare_v then_o will_v i_o come_v again_o and_o establish_v every_o one_o of_o you_o in_o his_o everlasting_a habitation_n and_o receive_v you_o unto_o myself_o that_o where_o i_o be_o there_o may_v you_o be_v also_o all_o which_o reason_n be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o fourtéenth_fw-mi chapter_n of_o saint_n john_n and_o the_o three_o first_o verse_n what_o can_v keep_v the_o heart_n more_o from_o comfort_n and_o rejoice_n than_o a_o trouble_a mind_n and_o a_o unquiet_a conscience_n the_o which_o among_o all_o the_o misery_n and_o affliction_n of_o this_o world_n the_o godly_a be_v free_a from_o which_o comfort_n of_o heart_n christ_n perform_v unto_o they_o john_n 14._o 27._o peace_n i_o leave_v with_o you_o my_o peace_n i_o give_v unto_o you_o not_o
