with_o his_o and_o not_o forsake_v they_o that_o god_n will_v love_v and_o bless_v his_o people_n that_o he_o will_v be_v their_o god_n will_v rejoice_v over_o they_o to_o do_v they_o good_a will_v compass_v they_o with_o favour_n as_o with_o a_o shield_n will_v keep_v his_o covenant_n with_o they_o that_o he_o will_v see_v peace_n in_o their_o border_n and_o prosper_v they_o in_o all_o they_o go_v about_o in_o these_o i_o say_v and_o the_o like_o many_o it_o can_v be_v doubt_v but_o all_o needful_a blessing_n of_o this_o life_n be_v contain_v and_o therefore_o this_o shall_v be_v the_o run_v to_o any_o one_o of_o these_o gracious_a promise_n that_o so_o well_o consider_v what_o abundant_a relief_n be_v contain_v in_o they_o we_o may_v quiet_a and_o content_a our_o mind_n therewith_o assure_v ourselves_o that_o see_v he_o be_v faithful_a who_o have_v promise_v we_o shall_v not_o want_v any_o earthly_a blessing_n at_o what_o time_n and_o in_o what_o measure_v it_o shall_v be_v good_a for_o us._n these_o general_a promise_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n for_o this_o life_n be_v the_o more_o to_o be_v observe_v in_o read_v the_o scripture_n and_o at_o least_o some_o of_o the_o most_o principal_a in_o our_o conceit_n to_o be_v keep_v in_o memory_n that_o they_o may_v be_v ready_a for_o our_o use_n in_o time_n of_o need_n both_o for_o that_o these_o be_v many_o mo_z and_o more_o oft_o repeat_v in_o scripture_n then_o any_o particular_a and_o also_o for_o that_o we_o can_v always_o have_v ready_a the_o particular_a promise_n for_o our_o special_a necessity_n when_o we_o have_v most_o need_n of_o they_o and_o this_o may_v be_v sufficient_a to_o have_v speak_v of_o this_o point_n for_o the_o strengthen_n of_o our_o faith_n in_o the_o assurance_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o want_v any_o earthly_a blessing_n which_o shall_v be_v needful_a for_o us._n but_o see_v the_o lord_n have_v so_o far_o yield_v to_o our_o infirmity_n promise_n special_a promise_n as_o to_o apply_v his_o promise_n to_o our_o special_a necessity_n it_o shall_v be_v available_a for_o our_o comfort_n to_o take_v knowledge_n of_o they_o that_o so_o we_o may_v make_v our_o use_n of_o they_o as_o need_n shall_v require_v among_o all_o earthly_a blessing_n life_n long_o life_n life_n itself_o be_v the_o chief_a for_o upon_o it_o
what_o he_o promise_v we_o may_v come_v to_o believe_v they_o and_o so_o 〈◊〉_d upon_o god_n mercy_n for_o his_o blessing_n on_o our_o children_n as_o well_o as_o upon_o ourselves_o which_o if_o we_o do_v i_o can_v well_o see_v what_o shall_v be_v want_v to_o the_o full_a contentâ—â—â—â—_n of_o all_o god_n child_n even_o in_o earthly_a blessing_n which_o be_v so_o much_o desire_v and_o the_o want_n whereof_o be_v so_o distasteful_a and_o unwelcome_a to_o our_o nature_n and_o thus_o to_o conclude_v this_o five_o point_n i_o have_v show_v how_o we_o may_v live_v by_o faith_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o want_v any_o earthly_a blessing_n neither_o for_o ourselves_o nor_o for_o our_o posterity_n which_o be_v add_v to_o all_o the_o former_a will_v prove_v there_o be_v no_o life_n comparable_a to_o the_o life_n by_o faith_n and_o therefore_o this_o about_o all_o be_v to_o be_v labour_v for_o by_o all_o that_o desire_v true_a comfort_n in_o this_o life_n and_o thereby_o hope_v his_o enemy_n so_o many_o and_o strong_a shall_v be_v sure_a that_o he_o shall_v hold_v out_o to_o the_o end_n and_o so_o overcome_a receive_v the_o end_n of_o his_o faith_n the_o salvation_n of_o his_o soul_n which_o be_v a_o matter_n of_o so_o great_a difficulty_n and_o so_o rare_o attain_v they_o be_v not_o a_o few_o who_o flat_o deny_v this_o certainty_n of_o perseverance_n and_o many_o more_o do_v mistrust_v themselves_o herein_o and_o thereby_o much_o weaken_v all_o the_o comfort_n of_o their_o life_n it_o shall_v be_v therefore_o high_o needful_a to_o add_v this_o to_o the_o former_a how_o a_o true_a believer_n may_v attain_v to_o this_o certainty_n by_o faith_n that_o notwithstanding_o all_o his_o own_o weakness_n and_o strength_n and_o malice_n of_o his_o spiritual_a enemy_n yet_o he_o shall_v persevere_v to_o the_o end_n i_o intend_v not_o to_o make_v a_o treatise_n of_o this_o point_n of_o the_o perseverance_n of_o the_o saint_n either_o to_o prove_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o doctrine_n or_o to_o confute_v the_o contrary_a error_n which_o be_v do_v already_o and_o that_o sound_o as_o by_o argument_n so_o by_o example_n both_o by_o ancient_a and_o latter_a divine_n but_o as_o in_o the_o former_a point_n i_o have_v chief_o labour_v to_o strengthen_v the_o faith_n of_o god_n child_n to_o depend_v upon_o god_n with_o hope_n and_o patience_n for_o
