anabaptist_n and_o make_v use_n of_o some_o weak_a argument_n to_o please_v they_o then_o 1._o i_o wonder_v mr._n will_n or_o some_o other_o have_v not_o answer_v the_o doctor_n weak_a argument_n all_o this_o while_n for_o none_o that_o ever_o i_o hear_v of_o dare_v enter_v the_o list_n with_o the_o doctor_n in_o the_o matter_n and_o to_o say_v he_o do_v it_o by_o his_o contrary_a practice_n power_n of_o god_n who_o as_o he_o have_v the_o heart_n of_o all_o man_n in_o his_o hand_n so_o also_o their_o tongue_n and_o can_v when_o he_o please_v make_v use_n of_o they_o to_o bear_v witness_n to_o and_o proclaim_v that_o truth_n they_o neither_o own_v nor_o practise_v as_o in_o the_o case_n of_o the_o highpriest_n who_o prophesy_v that_o it_o be_v expedient_a one_o shall_v die_v for_o believer_n and_o so_o their_o child_n have_v as_o much_o right_n to_o baptism_n as_o you_o 3._o the_o presbyterian_o have_v their_o believer_n and_o they_o be_v such_o that_o be_v so_o account_v who_o own_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n profess_v regeneration_n and_o be_v moral_o righteous_a in_o their_o life_n and_o conversation_n 4._o the_o independent_o have_v their_o believer_n and_o they_o be_v such_o who_o own_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n make_v a_o personal_a manifestation_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o repentance_n and_o so_o be_v enchurcht_v and_o become_v member_n by_o a_o covenant_n of_o some_o particular_a congregation_n now_o pray_v tell_v i_o which_o of_o all_o these_o sort_n of_o believer_n have_v right_a to_o have_v their_o child_n baptize_v if_o you_o say_v all_o of_o they_o than_o you_o contradict_v your_o own_o practice_n it_o be_v famous_o know_v that_o some_o of_o you_o will_v baptize_v none_o but_o they_o of_o your_o own_o party_n but_o if_o you_o say_v those_o child_n only_o have_v right_a to_o baptism_n who_o parent_n we_o count_v believer_n than_o you_o run_v a_o hazard_n of_o deny_v baptism_n to_o the_o child_n of_o diverse_a who_o parent_n be_v as_o true_a believer_n as_o yourselves_o and_o so_o deny_v they_o the_o privilege_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o in_o as_o much_o as_o in_o you_o lie_v occasion_n their_o damnation_n as_o you_o use_v only_a as_o you_o say_v have_v right_a to_o the_o covenant_n and_o baptism_n and_o that_o of_o such_o believer_n as_o you_o count_v so_o and_o so_o their_o parent_n only_o have_v hope_n of_o their_o salvation_n then_o what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o child_n of_o unbeliever_n yea_o of_o such_o who_o you_o count_v unbeliever_n may_v not_o they_o make_v this_o appeal_n to_o their_o parent_n and_o say_v o_o wretched_a and_o miserable_a parent_n that_o have_v bring_v forth_o so_o deplorable_a a_o off_o spring_n other_o child_n as_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v bear_v be_v in_o the_o covenant_n of_o manifestation_n of_o their_o faith_n and_o repentance_n and_o so_o join_v to_o some_o church_n diverse_a minister_n will_v not_o admit_v we_o to_o baptism_n but_o stay_v child_n there_o be_v hope_n for_o you_o for_o all_o this_o if_o you_o die_v in_o infancy_n as_o many_o of_o you_o as_o belong_v to_o the_o election_n of_o grace_n shall_v be_v save_v though_o you_o be_v not_o baptize_v and_o if_o you_o live_v to_o year_n of_o discretion_n and_o understanding_n if_o then_o you_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o repent_v of_o your_o sin_n and_o obey_v the_o gospel_n you_o shall_v be_v save_v as_o soon_o as_o they_o yea_o upon_o those_o term_n and_o none_o other_o shall_v those_o that_o be_v baptise_a in_o their_o infancy_n be_v save_v if_o they_o live_v to_o year_n of_o understanding_n poed_n well_o sir_n i_o see_v it_o be_v a_o hard_a matter_n to_o prove_v that_o the_o infant_n of_o believer_n have_v a_o right_n to_o the_o covenant_n more_o than_o the_o infant_n of_o unbeliever_n hear_v and_o it_o be_v answer_n enough_o to_o satisfy_v any_o that_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v satisfy_v for_o none_o ever_o have_v a_o right_a to_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o covenant_n any_o otherwise_o then_o by_o virtue_n of_o a_o law_n have_v it_o be_v otherwise_o of_o old_a than_o enoch_n lot_n noah_n and_o their_o seed_n have_v be_v circumcise_a and_o ishmael_n esau_n and_o other_o have_v not_o be_v circumcise_a now_o if_o the_o natural_a branch_n the_o seed_n of_o abraham_n have_v not_o this_o privilege_n to_o be_v circumcise_a by_o virtue_n of_o a_o right_n but_o virtue_n of_o a_o law_n how_o can_v you_o expect_v that_o your_o infant_n shall_v have_v a_o right_n to_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o covenant_n by_o virtue_n of_o your_o faith_n beside_o you_o yourselves_o deny_v one_o administration_n to_o your_o infant_n but_o what_o reason_n you_o have_v for_o so_o do_v i_o know_v not_o see_v the_o same_o grace_n be_v signify_v in_o both_o will_v you_o say_v because_o your_o child_n be_v not_o capable_a to_o examine_v themselves_o then_o let_v they_o plead_v their_o own_o cause_n and_o suppose_v they_o shall_v make_v this_o apostrophe_n to_o their_o it_o be_v because_o we_o can_v examine_v ourselves_o we_o answer_v that_o scripture_n concern_v the_o adult_n not_o we_o you_o may_v as_o well_o have_v keep_v we_o from_o baptism_n because_o we_o can_v not_o believe_v and_o repent_v but_o sure_o the_o apostle_n never_o intend_v that_o infant_n shall_v examine_v themselves_o beside_o you_o say_v we_o be_v clean_o holy_a with_o a_o federal_a holiness_n innocent_a in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n church_n member_n that_o we_o have_v habitual_a faith_n and_o without_o any_o sin_n except_o original_a therefore_o there_o be_v no_o need_n of_o self-examination_n why_o then_o be_v we_o not_o admit_v will_v our_o parent_n faith_n serve_v to_o admit_v we_o to_o baptism_n and_o not_o to_o the_o supper_n who_o will_v unriddle_v this_o sure_o we_o want_v some_o alexander_n to_o cut_v this_o gordian_a knot_n for_o none_o will_v ever_o untie_v it_o but_o again_o if_o infant_n have_v a_o right_n to_o the_o administration_n of_o the_o covenant_n by_o virtue_n of_o the_o parent_n faith_n then_o if_o the_o parent_n turn_v atheist_n or_o apostate_n the_o child_n lose_v their_o right_n and_o be_v cast_v out_o from_o the_o say_a what_o ground_n have_v you_o to_o expect_v better_a the_o unbelief_n of_o their_o parent_n break_v off_o their_o child_n by_o unbelief_n they_o be_v break_v off_o and_o thy_o stand_n be_v but_o conditional_a if_o thou_o abide_v in_o his_o goodness_n otherwise_o thou_o shall_v be_v cut_v off_o by_o which_o you_o see_v what_o absurdity_n and_o contradiction_n to_o your_o own_o practice_n
