witness_n of_o such_o profession_n and_o if_o they_o turn_v back_o and_o live_v not_o suitable_a in_o some_o good_a measure_n they_o may_v all_o join_v in_o their_o public_a censure_n in_o like_a manner_n as_o in_o their_o admittance_n and_o it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o that_o which_o be_v the_o duty_n of_o every_o man_n and_o woman_n to_o believe_v and_o do_v before_o he_o approach_v to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n that_o he_o ought_v not_o to_o deny_v to_o profess_v in_o public_a before_o all_o the_o congregation_n that_o be_v of_o that_o profession_n with_o who_o he_o desire_v communion_n and_o no_o man_n will_v deny_v but_o that_o these_o ensue_a duty_n be_v requisite_a and_o necessary_a to_o be_v believe_v and_o do_v before_o we_o approach_v to_o this_o ordinance_n 1._o first_o repentance_n for_o all_o our_o sin_n with_o confession_n of_o they_o such_o as_o have_v be_v notorious_a and_o public_a if_o they_o be_v object_v against_o we_o even_o in_o the_o public_a congregation_n with_o a_o resoltuion_n to_o forsake_v they_o and_o amend_v our_o life_n etc._n etc._n 2._o faith_n be_v a_o necessary_a duty_n before_o we_o approach_v to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n for_o without_o faith_n we_o can_v receive_v the_o thing_n signify_v we_o can_v eat_v the_o flesh_n and_o drink_v the_o blood_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n but_o by_o a_o lively_a faith_n for_o the_o outward_a bread_n and_o wine_n be_v but_o the_o sacrament_n or_o sign_n thereof_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n itself_o that_o be_v thereby_o signify_v for_o the_o one_o may_v be_v eat_v by_o dog_n and_o swine_n but_o the_o other_o can_v but_o by_o he_o only_o that_o have_v true_a justify_n and_o save_v faith_n and_o therefore_o this_o faith_n must_v at_o least_o be_v profess_a else_o the_o most_o charitable_a judgement_n can_v think_v they_o prepare_v for_o this_o ordinance_n if_o they_o deny_v to_o profess_v it_o before_o the_o whole_a church_n 3._o three_o love_n be_v also_o a_o necessary_a duty_n love_n unto_o god_n and_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n and_o love_v to_o our_o brethren_n and_o neighbour_n and_o the_o whole_a church_n of_o god_n for_o a_o true_a faith_n work_v by_o love_n and_o he_o that_o love_v not_o know_v not_o god_n for_o god_n be_v love_n and_o he_o that_o love_v not_o his_o brother_n abide_v in_o death_n etc._n etc._n and_o therefore_o no_o man_n be_v fit_a to_o receive_v the_o sacrament_n that_o be_v not_o reconcile_v both_o to_o god_n and_o man_n and_o in_o charity_n with_o all_o as_o these_o scripture_n show_v but_o it_o will_v be_v object_v that_o if_o all_o child_n of_o such_o believe_a parent_n who_o outward_o profess_v that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n must_v be_v admit_v to_o the_o christian_a baptism_n then_o all_o must_v be_v admit_v without_o distinction_n for_o all_o will_v profess_v that_o they_o so_o believe_v though_o they_o be_v never_o so_o wicked_a and_o malicious_a enemy_n to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n and_o even_o unto_o christ_n himself_o but_o our_o holy_a thing_n must_v not_o be_v give_v unto_o dog_n and_o swine_n mat._n 7._o 6._o i_o answer_v true_o if_o they_o be_v dog_n or_o swine_n that_o be_v to_o say_v if_o they_o be_v such_o as_o bark_v against_o and_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o way_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o name_n and_o truth_n or_o of_o his_o minister_n or_o disciple_n and_o child_n etc._n etc._n for_o righteousness_n sake_n they_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v exclude_v from_o all_o such_o privilege_n and_o their_o child_n likewise_o or_o if_o they_o be_v despiser_n and_o scorner_n of_o such_o holy_a thing_n turn_v with_o the_o dog_n to_o his_o vomit_n and_o with_o the_o see_v that_o be_v wash_v to_o she_o wallow_v in_o the_o mire_n they_o may_v be_v exclude_v and_o aught_o so_o to_o be_v if_o they_o can_v be_v prove_v apparent_o to_o be_v such_o but_o as_o the_o lord_n inhibit_v the_o condemn_v of_o any_o man_n or_o put_v he_o to_o death_n under_o two_o or_o three_o witness_n yea_o though_o one_o witness_n may_v never_o so_o full_o assert_v and_o assure_v it_o to_o the_o judgement_n of_o man_n yet_o it_o must_v not_o stand_v even_o so_o also_o it_o must_v either_o be_v apparent_a and_o clear_o witness_v or_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o exclude_v their_o child_n from_o their_o outward_a ordinance_n they_o themselves_o be_v such_o who_o have_v be_v baptize_v in_o their_o minority_n for_o they_o be_v no_o other_o but_o in_o like_a condition_n with_o grandchild_n of_o godly_a parent_n who_o be_v not_o approve_v as_o actual_a believer_n and_o yet_o their_o child_n be_v admit_v unto_o baptism_n if_o they_o be_v not_o so_o profane_a as_o to_o account_v they_o dog_n or_o swine_n etc._n etc._n as_o have_v be_v say_v if_o they_o turn_v not_o to_o be_v enemy_n to_o the_o church_n of_o god_n he_o that_o be_v not_o against_o we_o be_v with_o we_o say_v christ_n object_n but_o it_o will_v be_v object_v if_o the_o root_n be_v not_o holy_a how_o may_v we_o expect_v that_o the_o branch_n shall_v but_o the_o apostle_n plain_o assert_v it_o that_o such_o who_o parent_n be_v both_o of_o they_o unbelieved_a be_v unclean_a now_o
