6._o 16._o and_o you_o have_v purify_v your_o soul_n in_o obey_v the_o truth_n 2_o pet._n 1._o 22._o and_o thus_o you_o see_v faith_n or_o obedience_n justifi_v the_o creature_n for_o thereby_o he_o be_v justify_v and_o such_o as_o be_v unbeliever_n and_o disobedient_a be_v condemn_v when_o christ_n shall_v come_v in_o flame_a fire_n to_o render_v vengeance_n to_o those_o that_o obey_v not_o the_o gospel_n 2_o thess_n 1._o 8._o for_o to_o those_o that_o be_v disobedient_a christ_n be_v a_o stone_n to_o stumble_v at_o and_o a_o rock_n to_o be_v offend_v at_o to_o such_o as_o stumble_v at_o the_o word_n be_v disobedient_a and_o obey_v not_o that_o whereon_o they_o be_v set_v 1_o pet._n 2._o 7_o 8._o that_o all_o those_o may_v be_v damn_v which_o obey_v not_o the_o truth_n but_o obey_v unrighteousness_n 1_o thess_n 2._o 10._o 12._o and_o thus_o you_o see_v that_o faith_n or_o belief_n be_v obedience_n and_o rebellion_n or_o unbelief_n be_v disobedience_n now_o the_o great_a controversy_n will_v be_v whether_o it_o be_v christ_n work_n or_o the_o creature_n work_v to_o act_v faith_n now_o the_o great_a part_n hold_v that_o it_o be_v christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n and_o some_o few_o hold_n that_o it_o be_v the_o creature_n work_v to_o act_v faith_n now_o the_o great_a part_n can_v never_o be_v in_o the_o best_a way_n and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v side_n with_o the_o lesser_a part_n for_o they_o say_v the_o fault_n be_v in_o the_o creature_n that_o he_o do_v not_o believe_v and_o the_o great_a party_n say_v it_o be_v not_o the_o creature_n work_v to_o believe_v it_o be_v christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n and_o so_o they_o lay_v all_o the_o unbelief_n upon_o christ_n and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v prove_v that_o it_o be_v the_o creature_n work_v and_o not_o christ_n to_o act_v faith_n and_o first_o it_o be_v the_o creature_n work_v to_o believe_v because_o christ_n have_v do_v his_o work_n for_o christ_n work_n be_v to_o obey_v the_o command_n of_o his_o father_n and_o to_o set_v forth_o such_o a_o way_n to_o the_o world_n as_o they_o be_v to_o stand_v to_o and_o to_o establish_v that_o way_n for_o life_n and_o death_n and_o this_o be_v his_o work_n enjoin_v he_o from_o the_o father_n which_o he_o do_v in_o set_v down_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o father_n in_o all_o thing_n that_o be_v necessary_a to_o salvation_n which_o he_o do_v and_o seal_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o father_n with_o his_o blood_n and_o do_v his_o work_n and_o therefore_o he_o say_v if_o you_o keep_v my_o commandment_n you_o shall_v abide_v in_o ascend_v to_o the_o father_n and_o be_v enter_v into_o his_o rest_n heb._n 4._o saying_n to_o he_o that_o over_o come_v will_v i_o grant_v to_o sit_v with_o i_o in_o my_o throne_n as_o i_o also_o overcome_v and_o be_o set_v down_o with_o my_o father_n in_o his_o throne_n revel_v 3._o 21._o and_o therefore_o it_o do_v appear_v that_o it_o be_v not_o christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n in_o the_o creature_n except_o you_o will_v call_v he_o in_o question_n from_o his_o rest_n which_o i_o think_v you_o dare_v not_o 3._o if_o it_o be_v christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n in_o the_o creature_n than_o the_o fault_n will_v lie_v in_o christ_n that_o the_o creature_n do_v not_o believe_v and_o then_o the_o father_n may_v question_v the_o son_n for_o all_o the_o unbelief_n in_o the_o world_n see_v you_o say_v it_o be_v christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n in_o the_o creature_n than_o all_o the_o fault_n will_v lie_v upon_o he_o for_o if_o he_o have_v act_v faith_n the_o creature_n shall_v have_v believe_v and_o so_o the_o father_n may_v call_v the_o son_n to_o a_o account_n for_o all_o the_o unbelief_n of_o the_o creature_n and_o what_o be_v this_o think_v you_o but_o to_o pluck_v christ_n out_o of_o his_o throne_n and_o to_o take_v he_o from_o his_o rest_n 4._o if_o it_o be_v christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n in_o the_o creature_n than_o the_o creature_n have_v a_o good_a excuse_n and_o may_v say_v there_o be_v no_o cause_n wherefore_o he_o shall_v be_v condemn_v for_o not_o believe_v see_v it_o be_v not_o his_o work_n to_o believe_v but_o the_o fault_n be_v in_o christ_n who_o do_v not_o act_v faith_n in_o he_o and_o therefore_o he_o be_v not_o to_o blame_v because_o it_o be_v not_o his_o work_n to_o believe_v but_o christ_n work_n and_o therefore_o no_o reason_n he_o shall_v be_v condemn_v for_o another_o fault_n and_o so_o you_o will_v excuse_v the_o creature_n and_o condemn_v christ_n 5._o christ_n do_v not_o act_v faith_n in_o the_o creature_n because_o he_o shall_v judge_v the_o creature_n for_o not_o believe_v for_o it_o be_v improper_a that_o he_o shall_v be_v the_o judge_n that_o be_v in_o the_o fault_n and_o condemn_v the_o creature_n for_o not_o believe_v when_o it_o be_v never_o his_o work_n to_o believe_v and_o so_o the_o creature_n may_v reply_v unto_o the_o judge_n that_o he_o do_v condemn_v he_o false_o to_o condemn_v the_o creature_n for_o not_o believe_v when_o it_o be_v christ_n work_n to_o act_v faith_n and_o not_o the_o creature_n and_o thus_o you_o see_v what_o sad_a effect_n will_v follow_v this_o tenent_n that_o
