backbiting_a thorny-taunting_a murder_v rob_v and_o take_v the_o sweat_n of_o the_o needy_a and_o miserable_a to_o maintain_v their_o haughty_a stately_a pride_n 95._o and_o now_o when_o these_o two_o thus_o captivate_v by_o the_o devil_n and_o this_o world_n stand_v before_o god_n with_o fear_n and_o great_a horror_n and_o feel_v the_o anger_n of_o god_n and_o the_o severe_a judgement_n then_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n
seek_v nothing_o but_o the_o thorn_n and_o love_v to_o strike_v with_o they_o therefore_o we_o will_v give_v the_o oppressor_n driver_n no_o cause_n to_o do_v so_o but_o rather_o mystery_n let_v suppose_v that_o god_n take_v pleasure_n in_o it_o yes_o sir_n the_o spirit_n of_o the_o great_a world_n be_v please_v with_o it_o and_o through_o that_o spirit_n the_o fierce_a anger_n of_o god_n be_v also_o please_a because_o they_o qualify_v or_o mingle_v one_o with_o another_o and_o out_o of_o one_o and_o the_o same_o root_n 20._o do_v thou_o suppose_v that_o all_o the_o prophet_n have_v speak_v from_o the_o pleasant_a kind_a love_n of_o god_n from_o the_o heart_n of_o god_n when_o they_o say_v to_o the_o king_n of_o israel_n enter_v into_o battle_n thou_o shall_v overcome_v god_n shall_v give_v you_o victory_n indeed_o they_o speak_v from_o god_n but_o from_o his_o fierce_a wrath_n against_o sin_n through_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o great_a world_n which_o will_v devour_v again_o what_o it_o have_v make_v because_o the_o love_n be_v extinguish_v 21._o or_o do_v thou_o suppose_v that_o god_n send_v moses_n to_o slay_v the_o king_n of_o the_o heathen_n in_o the_o promise_a land_n and_o that_o he_o be_v so_o well_o please_v with_o murthering_n no_o friend_n look_v under_o the_o veil_n of_o moses_n and_o thou_o shall_v find_v it_o clean_o otherwise_o 22._o why_o do_v god_n keep_v israel_n forty_o year_n in_o the_o wilderness_n and_o feed_v they_o with_o manna_n heavenly_a bread_n that_o they_o shall_v be_v a_o people_n full_a of_o love_n such_o as_o love_v one_o another_o and_o shall_v depend_v on_o god_n in_o one_o love_n and_o therefore_o he_o give_v their_o law_n brightness_n or_o clarity_n to_o see_v if_o they_o can_v live_v in_o the_o love_n of_o the_o father_n and_o then_o he_o will_v have_v send_v they_o among_o the_o heathen_n to_o turn_v they_o with_o their_o wonder_n as_o be_v do_v at_o the_o time_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o in_o that_o which_o he_o have_v bring_v out_o of_o egypt_n with_o great_a wonder_n or_o miracle_n among_o they_o to_o destroy_v they_o that_o they_o shall_v turn_v to_o god_n and_o depart_v from_o covetousness_n prophet_n complain_v often_o in_o the_o holy_a ghost_n or_o spirit_n of_o god_n that_o this_o evil_a people_n offend_v their_o god_n when_o they_o move_v he_o to_o anger_n so_o that_o according_o his_o severe_a wrath_n go_v forth_o and_o devour_v they_o david_n say_v in_o the_o five_o psalm_n thou_o be_v not_o a_o god_n that_o be_v please_v with_o wicked_a way_n 26._o now_o if_o man_n awaken_v sin_n than_o the_o fierce_a anger_n or_o severity_n of_o god_n be_v stir_v in_o himself_o viz._n in_o man_n which_o otherwise_o if_o man_n do_v stand_v in_o humility_n will_v rest_v and_o be_v turn_v into_o great_a joy_n as_o be_v often_o mention_v before_o but_o now_o when_o he_o burn_v in_o wrath_n then_o one_o people_n devour_v the_o other_o and_o one_o sin_n destroy_v another_o if_o israel_n have_v be_v lord_n upright_o they_o have_v not_o be_v put_v to_o make_v war_n but_o they_o shall_v have_v enter_v in_o with_o wonder_n and_o have_v convert_v the_o people_n moses_n shall_v have_v lead_v they_o into_o the_o promise_a land_n with_o his_o miracle_n or_o deed_n of_o wonder_n but_o because_o they_o be_v wicked_a they_o can_v not_o enter_v in_o with_o the_o brightness_n of_o moses_n with_o deed_n of_o wonder_n in_o the_o lustre_n or_o glance_n of_o the_o father_n to_o convert_v the_o heathen_n but_o moses_n with_o his_o deed_n of_o wonder_n must_v stay_v in_o the_o wilderness_n life_n and_o if_o he_o squeeze_v out_o the_o sweat_n of_o his_o brow_n so_o that_o it_o smart_v which_o his_o superior_a master_n consume_v or_o spend_v than_o he_o grow_v impatient_a with_o his_o master_n and_o curse_v he_o and_o seek_v out_o way_n of_o lie_v and_o deceit_n and_o by_o what_o way_n he_o may_v make_v his_o heavy_a burden_n light_a 33._o and_o then_o if_o he_o find_v his_o master_n so_o unjust_a he_o rise_v up_o against_o he_o and_o take_v away_o his_o false_a unrighteous_a bread_n which_o he_o think_v to_o eat_v under_o a_o soft_a yoke_n and_o plague_v worry_v he_o to_o the_o kingdom_n of_o hell_n and_o in_o the_o heaven_n it_o make_v the_o ascend_a joy_n and_o the_o meekness_n 13._o and_o it_o be_v high_o to_o be_v find_v and_o consider_v by_o we_o in_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n how_o the_o fierceness_n or_o wrath_n be_v the_o root_n of_o all_o thing_n and_o moreover_o the_o originality_n of_o the_o life_n therein_o only_o consist_v the_o may_v and_o the_o power_n and_o from_o thence_o only_o proceed_v the_o wonder_n and_o without_o the_o fierceness_n or_o wrath_n there_o will_v be_v no_o enmity_n but_o all_o will_v be_v as_o it_o be_v a_o nothing_o as_o be_v former_o mention_v 14._o and_o then_o we_o find_v also_o how_o the_o meekness_n be_v the_o virtue_n and_o the_o spirit_n so_o that_o where_o the_o meekness_n be_v not_o there_o the_o fierceness_n in_o itself_o be_v nothing_o but_o a_o darkness_n and_o a_o death_n where_o no_o forth_o grow_n can_v spring_v up_o and_o it_o can_v generate_v nor_o discover_v its_o wonder_n and_o thus_o we_o find_v that_o the_o fierceness_n wrath_n or_o sourness_n be_v a_o cause_n of_o the_o essence_n and_o that_o the_o meekness_n be_v a_o cause_n of_o the_o joy_n and_o a_o cause_n of_o the_o rise_n and_o bud_v oâ—_n grow_v forth_o of_o the_o essence_n and_o then_o that_o the_o spirit_n be_v generate_v by_o the_o flow_a work_n spring_a and_o rise_n up_o out_o of_o the_o essence_n and_o that_o the_o fierceness_n so_o become_v the_o root_n of_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o meekness_n be_v its_o life_n 15._o now_o there_o can_v be_v no_o meekness_n without_o light_n for_o the_o light_n make_v the_o meekness_n and_o there_o can_v be_v no_o fierceness_n without_o the_o light_n for_o the_o light_n make_v a_o attract_v long_v in_o the_o darkness_n and_o yet_o there_o be_v no_o darkness_n there_o but_o the_o longing_n make_v the_o darkness_n in_o the_o will_n so_o that_o the_o will_n attract_v to_o itself_o and_o impregnate_v the_o longing_n so_o that_o it_o become_v thick_a and_o dark_a for_o it_o be_v thick_a than_o the_o will_n and_o therefore_o it_o shadow_v the_o will_n and_o be_v the_o darkness_n of_o the_o will_n 16._o and_o if_o the_o will_v be_v thus_o in_o thus_o yet_o the_o one_o must_v be_v part_v from_o the_o other_o viz._n the_o kingdom_n of_o this_o world_n which_o be_v a_o root_n or_o stirrer_n up_o of_o the_o root_n of_o the_o fierceness_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o god_n shall_v pass_v with_o the_o new_a body_n into_o the_o separation_n of_o the_o root_n and_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o this_o world_n as_o into_o the_o death_n of_o the_o fierceness_n and_o shall_v destroy_v death_n and_o spring_n with_o its_o own_o virtue_n and_o power_n through_o death_n as_o a_o flower_n spring_v out_o of_o the_o earth_n and_o so_o hold_v the_o inward_a fierceness_n captive_a power_n in_o his_o own_o virtue_n of_o the_o new_a body_n 11._o and_o this_o we_o understand_v of_o christ_n who_o be_v true_o enter_v in_o such_o a_o manner_n and_o have_v take_v the_o strong_a anger_n and_o the_o devil_n in_o it_o captive_a and_o have_v spring_v with_o his_o holy_a heavenly_a body_n through_o death_n and_o have_v destroy_v death_n so_o that_o the_o eternal_a life_n spring_v forth_o through_o death_n and_o thus_o death_n be_v take_v captive_a by_o the_o new_a eternal_a body_n and_o it_o be_v a_o eternal_a imprisonment_n so_o that_o a_o eternal_a life_n be_v grow_v in_o death_n and_o the_o new_a body_n tread_v upon_o the_o head_n of_o death_n and_o of_o the_o fierceness_n the_o property_n of_o death_n stand_v in_o the_o prison_n of_o the_o new_a eternal_a life_n 12._o and_o so_o the_o woman_n in_o who_o the_o eternal_a life_n spring_v stand_v upon_o the_o earthly_a moon_n and_o despise_v that_o which_o be_v earthly_a and_o that_o flower_n be_v the_o new_a body_n in_o christ_n 13._o after_o this_o manner_n you_o may_v understand_v how_o he_o destroy_v death_n by_o the_o spring_a of_o the_o eternal_a life_n in_o the_o deity_n through_o death_n and_o you_o may_v understand_v how_o the_o new_a body_n in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n hold_v the_o eternal_a source_n of_o the_o anger_n captive_a for_o the_o love_n be_v the_o prison_n of_o the_o anger_n for_o the_o source_n of_o the_o anger_n can_v enter_v into_o the_o love_n but_o continue_v only_o by_o itself_o as_o it_o be_v from_o eternity_n and_o therein_o
