please_v and_o to_o have_v introduce_v idolatry_n in_o the_o room_n of_o it_o so_o that_o i_o think_v none_o of_o these_o place_n will_v prove_v any_o more_o but_o that_o god_n and_o his_o lieutenant_n be_v to_o be_v obey_v and_o that_o it_o be_v rebellion_n to_o resist_v they_o under_o the_o jewish_a government_n as_o long_o as_o they_o do_v not_o force_v the_o people_n to_o idolatry_n which_o i_o do_v not_o at_o all_o deny_v m._n though_o you_o labour_v to_o wave_v these_o example_n and_o precept_n which_o i_o have_v now_o cite_v and_o will_v not_o take_v they_o for_o convince_a yet_o let_v i_o tell_v you_o your_o exception_n against_o they_o only_o tend_v to_o prove_v that_o idolatrous_a king_n may_v be_v resist_v under_o the_o jewish_a law_n which_o be_v direct_o contrary_a to_o the_o sacred_a history_n as_o i_o shall_v prove_v very_o clear_o to_o you_o by_o these_o follow_a testimony_n i_o shall_v make_v use_n of_o yet_o i_o think_v it_o be_v much_o more_o plain_a 20._o they_o do_v not_o desire_v a_o mere_a nominal_a and_o titular_a king_n but_o a_o king_n to_o judge_n they_o and_o go_v in_o and_o out_o before_o they_o and_o fight_v their_o battle_n that_o be_v before_o as_o sovereign_n and_o irresistible_a a_o power_n as_o any_o king_n be_v the_o supreme_a judge_n of_o israel_n who_o sentence_n no_o man_n can_v disobey_v or_o contradict_v but_o he_o incur_v the_o penalty_n of_o death_n according_a to_o the_o mosaical_a law_n but_o the_o reason_n why_o he_o distuade_v they_o from_o choose_v a_o king_n be_v because_o the_o external_a pomp_n and_o magnificence_n of_o king_n be_v like_a to_o be_v very_o chargeable_a and_o oppressive_a to_o they_o he_o 〈◊〉_d your_o son_n and_o 〈◊〉_d they_o for_o himself_o for_o his_o chariot_n and_o to_o be_v his_o house_n man_n and_o some_o shall_v run_v before_o his_o chariot_n and_o he_o will_v appoint_v he_o captain_n over_o thousand_o and_o captain_n over_o fifty_n and_o will_v set_v they_o to_o ear_n his_o ground_n and_o to_o reap_v his_o harvest_n and_o thus_o in_o several_a particular_n he_o show_v they_o what_o burden_n and_o exaction_n they_o will_v bring_v upon_o themselves_o by_o set_v up_o you_o in_o that_o day_n that_o be_v god_n will_v not_o alter_v the_o government_n for_o you_o again_o how_o much_o soever_o you_o may_v complain_v of_o it_o this_o i_o say_v be_v a_o plain_a proof_n
