his_o hand_n and_o guide_v and_o govern_v all_o his_o creature_n at_o this_o day_n so_o as_o nothing_o be_v do_v without_o his_o will._n you_o see_v in_o effect_n what_o eliu_n mean_v to_o say_v here_o but_o it_o shall_v seem_v that_o this_o reason_n be_v not_o fit_v to_o maintain_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n for_o his_o mightiness_n be_v not_o in_o question_n here_o and_o beside_o that_o as_o i_o have_v touch_v already_o sometime_o under_o the_o colour_n that_o god_n be_v almighty_a man_n will_v accuse_v he_o of_o tyranny_n as_o though_o he_o have_v no_o regard_n of_o our_o infirmity_n and_o weakness_n mark_v then_o how_o man_n take_v occasion_n to_o advance_v themselves_o against_o god_n by_o confess_v his_o almightiness_n say_v it_o be_v true_a that_o he_o be_v the_o sovereign_n but_o yet_o it_o follow_v not_o therefore_o that_o he_o have_v not_o good_a stay_n and_o government_n of_o himself_o as_o he_o ought_v to_o have_v for_o albeit_o that_o man_n vex_v &_o torment_v his_o servant_n yet_o it_o seem_v that_o he_o pass_v not_o for_o it_o nor_o have_v any_o regard_n of_o they_o but_o contrariwise_o eliu_n intend_v to_o show_v that_o god_n be_v righteous_a shall_v reign_v with_o justice_n but_o with_o flock_v into_o tavern_n &_o there_o they_o commit_v the_o shameful_a thing_n that_o can_v be_v then_o see_v that_o king_n and_o their_o officer_n &_o magistrate_n that_o go_v by_o election_n come_v to_o their_o degree_n by_o so_o devilish_a mean_n the_o wicked_a must_v needs_o reign_v but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o with_o god_n and_o why_o because_o that_o natural_o he_o have_v the_o soverein_o dominion_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n &_o the_o same_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o he_o be_v not_o choose_v to_o it_o by_o rascal_n that_o will_v
as_o they_o do_v but_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o they_o look_v not_o unto_o god_n if_o a_o man_n go_v into_o strange_a country_n he_o shall_v hear_v many_o complaint_n and_o he_o shall_v not_o need_v too_o go_v very_o far_o for_o the_o matter_n for_o wheresoever_o be_v tax_n and_o imposition_n or_o wheresoever_o man_n of_o war_n pass_v like_o flood_n of_o water_n there_o be_v no_o man_n but_o he_o disappoint_v they_o of_o their_o trust_n and_o hope_n and_o like_a as_o he_o ratify_v his_o truth_n and_o show_v himself_o faithful_a and_o trusty_a by_o help_v such_o as_o call_v upon_o he_o so_o also_o on_o the_o contrary_a part_n he_o suffer_v those_o too_o rot_v which_o seek_v not_o he_o &_o let_v they_o waste_v and_o consume_v by_o length_n of_o time_n so_o as_o it_o be_v not_o perceive_v that_o he_o regard_v they_o or_o have_v any_o care_n of_o their_o necessity_n wherein_o he_o show_v himself_o to_o be_v righteous_a for_o he_o punish_v the_o negligence_n or_o rather_o the_o pride_n thing_n that_o may_v be_v see_v most_o often_o you_o see_v then_o what_o we_o may_v conclude_v when_o we_o have_v consider_v what_o the_o world_n be_v we_o shall_v find_v that_o such_o as_o a._n e_o smite_v and_o vex_v can_v well_o enough_o lament_v their_o misery_n but_o their_o cry_n be_v not_o unto_o god_n it_o be_v like_o a_o beastly_a howl_n they_o cast_v out_o their_o shriek_n into_o the_o air_n but_o they_o reach_v not_o out_o their_o heart_n unto_o god_n they_o cast_v not_o their_o care_n and_o sorrow_n upon_o he_o as_o he_o command_v we_o and_o that_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o he_o magnify_v his_o mercy_n what_o misery_n soever_o they_o endure_v then_o if_o we_o acknowledge_v not_o god_n to_o be_v such_o a_o one_o as_o he_o show_v himself_o towards_o we_o nor_o esteem_v the_o gracious_a gift_n which_o we_o have_v receive_v at_o his_o hand_n i_o say_v if_o we_o come_v not_o to_o he_o thus_o mind_v there_o be_v nothing_o but_o seyn_v and_o falsehood_n in_o we_o and_o therefore_o we_o must_v not_o marvel_v though_o he_o shut_v the_o gate_n against_o we_o and_o make_v no_o countenance_n to_o hear_v our_o request_n behold_v a_o text_n right_n worthy_a to_o be_v and_o that_o we_o be_v in_o his_o hand_n but_o now_o let_v we_o examine_v those_o which_o make_v countenance_n of_o pray_v if_o a_o man_n serche_fw-fr their_o heart_n shall_v he_o find_v that_o they_o have_v skill_n to_o say_v see_v that_o my_o god_n have_v fashion_v i_o i_o be_o in_o his_o hand_n and_o it_o belong_v too_o he_o too_o rule_v i_o in_o my_o life_n and_o too_o provide_v for_o all_o my_o necessity_n i_o hold_v all_o of_o he_o and_o therefore_o it_o behove_v i_o to_o suffer_v myself_o to_o be_v govern_v by_o his_o hand_n and_o according_a to_o his_o pleasure_n shall_v a_o man_n find_v one_o among_o a_o hundred_o that_o be_v thus_o mind_a and_o that_o speak_v with_o a_o true_a heart_n to_o yield_v honour_n too_o god_n as_o too_o his_o maker_n they_o will_v confess_v it_o be_v they_o not_o full_o resolve_v of_o it_o it_o be_v clean_o contrary_a with_o they_o so_o then_o there_o be_v no_o prayer_n that_o be_v worthy_a to_o bear_v that_o name_n when_o man_n be_v so_o brutishea_n they_o acknowledge_v not_o god_n for_o such_o a_o one_o as_o he_o show_v himself_o towards_o they_o howbeit_o the_o matter_n consist_v not_o only_o in_o acknowledge_v god_n to_o be_v our_o maker_n but_o we_o must_v also_o therewithal_o esteem_v the_o gracious_a gift_n which_o he_o be_v ready_a to_o give_v we_o according_a as_o it_o be_v say_v express_o in_o this_o text_n that_o be_v fancy_n if_o he_o do_v not_o thing_n as_o we_o imagine_v in_o our_o mind_n it_o seem_v to_o we_o that_o all_o thing_n be_v forlorn_a and_o past_a recovery_n because_o we_o understand_v they_o not_o for_o so_o long_o as_o we_o think_v but_o upon_o ourselves_o it_o cause_v we_o to_o be_v out_o of_o patience_n and_o there_o be_v no_o obedience_n at_o all_o to_o be_v find_v in_o we_o and_o therefore_o so_o much_o the_o more_o do_v it_o stand_v we_o in_o hand_n to_o put_v this_o doctrine_n in_o ure_n so_o then_o when_o we_o see_v all_o thing_n in_o hurly-burly_n so_o as_o god_n seem_v to_o have_v shut_v his_o eye_n and_o to_o have_v turn_v his_o back_n upon_o we_o let_v we_o understand_v that_o it_o be_v because_o of_o our_o sin_n yet_o nevertheless_o let_v the_o same_o confirm_v our_o faith_n and_o let_v we_o be_v quiet_a assure_v ourselves_o that_o it_o be_v god_n office_n too_o enjoin_v we_o silence_n until_o convenient_a time_n be_v come_v yea_o and_o until_o he_o know_v it_o too_o be_v convenient_a for_o it_o be_v not_o for_o we_o to_o bind_v he_o to_o the_o stake_n and_o to_o say_v this_o thing_n must_v be_v do_v after_o this_o manner_n and_o that_o thing_n after_o effect_n be_v this_o that_o although_o god_n do_v now_o show_v himself_o rough_a and_o sharp_a yet_o notwithstanding_o if_o we_o know_v how_o dreadful_a and_o terrible_a his_o wrath_n be_v we_o will_v say_v it_o be_v none_o of_o the_o thing_n which_o we_o see_v in_o this_o world_n and_o why_o for_o he_o will_v not_o examine_v thing_n to_o the_o uttermost_a he_o search_v not_o thing_n too_o deep_a so_o as_o god_n seem_v to_o thunder_v in_o such_o wise_n upon_o we_o as_o if_o he_o will_v overwhelm_v we_o it_o behove_v we_o to_o consider_v what_o his_o wrath_n be_v and_o that_o if_o he_o will_v utter_v it_o too_o the_o full_a it_o be_v able_a to_o destroy_v not_o only_o some_o one_o man_n but_o also_o a_o hundred_o thousand_o world_n yea_o and_o to_o consume_v they_o utter_o and_o to_o bring_v they_o to_o nothing_o you_o see_v then_o whereunto_o we_o be_v bring_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n furthermore_o it_o be_v a_o very_a profitable_a admonishment_n too_o assuage_v the_o they_o that_o we_o may_v know_v that_o god_n wrath_n be_v such_o as_o be_v able_a in_o one_o minute_n of_o a_o hour_n to_o destroy_v a_o hundred_o thousand_o world_n and_o that_o neither_o man_n in_o misery_n be_v great_a and_o i_o can_v endure_v no_o more_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o if_o a_o man_n have_v a_o eye_n to_o god_n wrath_n and_o compare_v it_o with_o all_o that_o can_v be_v endure_v he_o as_o a_o ignorant_a overween_a and_o unpatient_a person_n and_o where_o be_v then_o the_o say_a rightness_n i_o have_v tell_v you_o heretofore_o how_o job_n have_v undertake_v a_o good_a case_n howbe_z it_o he_o proceed_v amiss_o in_o it_o job_n therefore_o overshoot_v himself_o in_o the_o follow_n of_o his_o matter_n but_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o his_o case_n be_v good_a still_o conrrariwise_o job_n friend_n use_v goodly_a reason_n &_o such_o as_o we_o have_v gather_v holy_a doctrine_n out_o of_o but_o yet_o be_v the_o ground_n work_n of_o they_o evil_a they_o take_v a_o general_a ground_n quite_o beside_o the_o case_n which_o be_v that_o job_n be_v punish_v for_o his_o misdeed_n and_o that_o he_o be_v to_o be_v take_v for_o a_o wicked_a &_o curse_a creature_n see_v that_o god_n use_v such_o rigour_n towards_o he_o furthermore_o also_o they_o do_v set_v down_o a_o false_a &_o untoward_a doctrine_n say_v that_o god_n do_v even_o in_o this_o world_n handle_v man_n according_a to_o their_o desert_n but_o that_o be_v as_o much_o as_o to_o take_v away_o the_o hope_n of_o the_o everlasting_a life_n &_o to_o shut_v all_o favorablenesse_n of_o god_n out_o of_o this_o frail_a and_o transitory_a life_n and_o that_o be_v a_o turn_n of_o all_o thing_n upside_o down_o and_o therefore_o it_o behove_v we_o too_o call_v these_o two_o point_n to_o remembrance_n that_o we_o may_v know_v the_o ryghtnesse_n that_o be_v speak_v of_o here_o and_o to_o be_v short_a we_o must_v note_v the_o text_n that_o i_o have_v allege_v out_o of_o the_o psalm_n heretofore_o namely_o that_o the_o man_n be_v bliss_v which_o judge_v discret_o of_o the_o poor_a that_o be_v in_o adversity_n where_o the_o prophet_n show_v we_o that_o when_o we_o see_v any_o man_n in_o adversity_n god_n will_v secret_a cause_n unknown_a to_o we_o therefore_o let_v we_o eschew_v rashness_n when_o we_o see_v god_n afflict_v any_o man_n rough_o and_o let_v we_o not_o be_v to_o swift_a of_o judgement_n to_o say_v that_o he_o be_v worthy_a to_o be_v so_o handle_v and_o to_o commend_v such_o as_o live_v at_o their_o ease_n as_o though_o they_o be_v better_o belove_v of_o god_n for_o that_o be_v too_o unadvised_a a_o judge_a so_o it_o be_v then_o if_o we_o have_v the_o discretion_n in_o we_o to_o consider_v the_o cause_n that_o be_v note_v to_o we_o in_o the_o scripture_n we_o shall_v find_v diverse_a time_n that_o such_o as_o be_v the_o excellent_a servant_n of_o god_n be_v handle_v most_o rigorous_o and_o it_o will_v seem_v too_o we_o that_o god_n be_v against_o they_o but_o we_o must_v not_o judge_v after_o our_o own_o fancy_n if_o we_o use_v that_o modesty_n god_n will_v always_o succour_v we_o when_o we_o be_v afflict_v but_o if_o we_o be_v cruel_a and_o foolish_a in_o give_v too_o hasty_a sentence_n the_o like_a measure_n must_v be_v moten_z unto_o we_o also_o furthermore_o for_o the_o better_a understanding_n of_o that_o which_o be_v say_v here_o namely_o that_o job_n have_v speak_v right_o and_o his_o friend_n amiss_o it_o behove_v we_o to_o take_v this_o general_a rule_n that_o when_o a_o man_n be_v in_o forwardness_n to_o follow_v god_n and_o to_o fear_v he_o the_o same_o shall_v be_v accept_v notwithstanding_o that_o he_o commit_v gross_a fault_n whereas_o if_o another_o man_n have_v not_o the_o true_a fear_n of_o god_n root_v in_o he_o although_o he_o have_v apparent_a virtue_n that_o be_v very_o commendable_a before_o man_n yet_o be_v all_o of_o it_o nothing_o worth_a it_o be_v but_o stark_a filth_n look_v i_o say_v upon_o a_o man_n that_o fear_v god_n and_o be_v right_o and_o pure_o mind_v too_o give_v himself_o to_o welldoing_a and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o shall_v have_v many_o infirmity_n he_o halt_v he_o stagger_v he_o reel_v yea_o and_o sometime_o fall_v flat_o down_o yea_o but_o his_o fault_n which_o he_o do_v be_v forgive_v he_o and_o god_n do_v still_o reach_v he_o his_o hand_n to_o lift_v he_o up_o insomuch_o that_o all_o
