their_o own_o soul_n by_o their_o right_a eousnesse_n and_o again_o they_o only_o shall_v be_v deliver_v themselves_o but_o the_o land_n shall_v be_v waist_n so_o the_o point_n be_v most_o clear_a from_o the_o lord_n own_o warrant_n let_v we_o now_o consider_v the_o reason_n of_o it_o to_o strengthen_v we_o yet_o further_o against_o the_o time_n of_o temptation_n a_o principal_a cause_n hereof_o be_v the_o lord_n most_o fatherly_a and_o tender_a love_n towards_o these_o that_o howsoever_o they_o be_v unto_o the_o world_n man_n most_o odious_a and_o monstrous_a 18._o for_o that_o they_o will_v not_o run_v with_o the_o rest_n to_o the_o same_o excess_n 4._o as_o the_o apostle_n peter_n speak_v and_o because_o they_o by_o their_o holy_a profession_n and_o carriage_n condemn_v the_o world_n as_o noah_n do_v in_o his_o age_n by_o his_o preach_n and_o live_v and_o make_v of_o the_o ark_n yet_o be_v they_o unto_o the_o lord_n as_o dear_a as_o the_o apple_n of_o his_o own_o eye_n 8._o that_o he_o can_v possible_o forget_v they_o wheresoever_o they_o be_v disperse_v and_o howsoever_o no_o though_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o the_o mother_n to_o beâ—so_o unnatural_a as_o to_o forget_v the_o child_n of_o her_o womb_n 16._o yet_o he_o can_v forget_v these_o they_o be_v grave_v on_o the_o palm_n of_o his_o hand_n and_o be_v ever_o in_o his_o sight_n his_o mercy_n be_v about_o they_o in_o the_o great_a distress_n as_o a_o wall_n of_o fire_n to_o fence_v they_o and_o to_o consume_v all_o contrary_a violence_n so_o far_o as_o he_o see_v best_o and_o as_o chariot_n of_o fire_n to_o carry_v they_o safe_a out_o of_o all_o such_o danger_n 3._o yea_o to_o save_v and_o deliver_v they_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fire_n and_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o water_n and_o therefore_o when_o the_o day_n of_o the_o lord_n vengeance_n come_v those_o who_o former_o think_v on_o his_o name_n and_o speak_v to_o keep_v other_o from_o the_o wickedness_n of_o the_o time_n be_v teach_v to_o comfort_v themselves_o herein_o because_o they_o be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n of_o his_o remembrance_n 18._o as_o malachi_n speak_v they_o be_v indeed_o the_o lord_n true_a flock_n &_o then_o will_v he_o declare_v it_o open_o spare_v &_o tender_v they_o as_o a_o father_n do_v his_o own_o son_n in_o who_o he_o be_v delight_v that_o man_n may_v oftentimes_o plain_o discern_v between_o the_o righteous_a and_o between_o the_o wicked_a between_o he_o that_o serve_v god_n and_o he_o that_o serve_v he_o not_o as_o we_o see_v in_o all_o the_o former_a destruction_n and_o final_o for_o their_o sake_n it_o be_v why_o he_o spare_v a_o sinful_a nation_n so_o long_o but_o if_o they_o be_v once_o forth_o the_o rest_n can_v look_v for_o nothing_o but_o fearful_a execution_n of_o vengeance_n for_o than_o he_o bid_v smite_v and_o spare_v none_o as_o follow_v 30._o but_o here_o it_o will_v be_v say_v if_o this_o be_v so_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v objection_n that_o many_o of_o the_o godly_a do_v so_o oft_o feel_v the_o smart_n of_o such_o calamity_n as_o well_o as_o the_o rest_n rest_n as_o it_o be_v very_o clear_a that_o many_o of_o the_o dear_a servant_n of_o god_n be_v carry_v away_o in_o this_o and_o the_o former_a captivity_n as_o well_o as_o other_o even_o many_o of_o those_o who_o be_v mark_v as_o we_o hear_v before_o that_o the_o prophet_n himself_o be_v carry_v away_o in_o the_o former_a captivity_n as_o also_o daniel_n and_o his_o companion_n with_o many_o other_o and_o so_o be_v partaker_n of_o the_o common_a misery_n of_o the_o captivity_n with_o the_o rest_n it_o be_v likewise_o very_o probable_a that_o sundry_a of_o they_o die_v by_o the_o sword_n of_o the_o enemy_n and_o some_o by_o other_o calamity_n and_o on_o the_o other_o side_n it_o be_v certain_a that_o many_o of_o the_o wicked_a escape_v among_o the_o godly_a it_o may_v be_v therefore_o demand_v what_o this_o mark_v do_v then_o stand_v the_o godly_a instead_o or_o what_o they_o be_v better_o for_o it_o to_o this_o it_o may_v be_v answer_v answ_n first_o that_o this_o be_v very_o true_a rest_n that_o many_o of_o the_o godly_a do_v often_o feel_v the_o smart_n of_o such_o general_a judgement_n and_o that_o most_o just_o for_o sundry_a cause_n for_o which_o god_n threaten_v his_o wont_a to_o correct_v his_o dear_a servant_n as_o either_o for_o their_o former_a security_n 19_o or_o else_o for_o seek_v their_o peace_n carnal_o by_o fashion_v themselves_o unto_o the_o evil_a time_n as_o the_o great_a part_n be_v wont_a to_o do_v ever_o so_o far_o as_o possible_o they_o may_v not_o fall_v utter_o from_o god_n or_o for_o that_o they_o have_v not_o mourn_v for_o the_o abomination_n of_o the_o rest_n or_o in_o that_o they_o have_v not_o be_v so_o instant_a with_o the_o lord_n for_o pacify_v his_o wrath_n and_o turn_v away_o the_o judgement_n as_o they_o ought_v or_o for_o neglect_v their_o duty_n of_o magistracy_n ministry_n government_n in_o their_o family_n or_o at_o least_o of_o admonition_n exhortation_n or_o example_n for_o save_v the_o rest_n and_o stay_v the_o course_n of_o sin_n or_o final_o for_o that_o they_o have_v not_o be_v so_o faithful_a in_o all_o thing_n in_o their_o place_n &_o calling_n as_o they_o shall_v or_o for_o some_o other_o their_o scandalous_a sin_n or_o sin_n against_o conscience_n whereby_o they_o have_v provoke_v the_o lord_n against_o they_o for_o he_o use_v to_o correct_v such_o and_o other_o sin_n like_v to_o these_o in_o his_o own_o servant_n by_o heavy_a and_o sharp_a temporal_a scourge_n and_o sometime_o by_o death_n itself_o
