therefore_o have_v need_n to_o be_v very_o watchful_a to_o avoid_v all_o occasion_n of_o sin_n as_o much_o as_o possible_a and_o to_o suppress_v the_o very_a first_o beginning_n think_v beforehand_o what_o temptation_n you_o be_v like_a to_o meet_v with_o and_o fortify_v yourself_o against_o what_o you_o can_v shun_v do_v not_o wilful_o run_v into_o danger_n especial_o beware_v of_o bad_a company_n by_o which_o many_o be_v draw_v back_o to_o their_o former_a looseness_n be_v not_o lead_v away_o by_o their_o counsel_n or_o example_n nor_o be_v discourage_v by_o their_o jeer_n and_o censure_n use_v often_o to_o look_v back_o upon_o your_o action_n and_o if_o you_o have_v be_v draw_v into_o any_o wilful_a sin_n do_v not_o make_v a_o light_a matter_n of_o it_o nor_o yet_o despair_v of_o pardon_n if_o you_o be_v true_o penitent_a wherefore_o speedy_o and_o earnest_o betake_v yourself_o to_o god_n by_o true_a repentance_n beg_v mercy_n for_o christ_n sake_n and_o more_o grace_n to_o strengthen_v and_o assist_v you_o renew_v your_o purpose_n for_o amendment_n of_o life_n and_o set_v your_o watch_n more_o strict_o for_o the_o future_a 4_o to_o quicken_v and_o engage_v you_o to_o this_o watchfulness_n remember_v that_o almighty_a god_n be_v ever_o present_a with_o you_o and_o observe_v all_o your_o way_n and_o take_v great_a delight_n in_o your_o piety_n and_o holiness_n but_o be_v of_o pure_a eye_n than_o to_o behold_v the_o least_o iniquity_n with_o any_o pleasure_n wherefore_o always_o walk_v as_o in_o the_o presence_n of_o this_o holy_a god_n whether_o you_o be_v alone_o or_o in_o company_n 5_o think_v often_o how_o near_o you_o stand_v to_o another_o world_n and_o what_o a_o account_n you_o must_v give_v to_o god_n of_o all_o your_o deed_n do_v in_o the_o body_n and_o so_o live_v now_o as_o will_v be_v most_o for_o your_o comfort_n at_o death_n and_o judgement_n when_o the_o profit_n and_o pleasure_n of_o sin_n entice_v you_o compare_v they_o with_o the_o eternal_a joy_n which_o they_o will_v deprive_v you_o of_o and_o with_o the_o eternal_a torment_n they_o lead_v to_o think_v whether_o ever_o any_o man_n by_o sin_v against_o god_n do_v gain_v somewhat_o that_o be_v better_a than_o heaven_n or_o that_o be_v worth_a go_n to_o hell_n for_o let_v eternity_n be_v very_o much_o in_o your_o thought_n and_o the_o fade_a vanity_n of_o this_o world_n will_v have_v little_a esteem_n with_o you_o often_o ponder_v of_o those_o weighty_a word_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n what_o will_v it_o profit_v a_o man_n to_o gain_v the_o whole_a world_n and_o lose_v his_o own_o soul_n or_o what_o shall_v a_o man_n give_v in_o exchange_n for_o his_o soul_n mark_v 8._o 36_o 37._o last_o in_o stead_n of_o more_o direction_n let_v i_o advise_v you_o to_o acquaint_v yourself_o with_o your_o minister_n and_o consult_v he_o in_o the_o great_a concernment_n of_o your_o soul_n as_o man_n be_v wont_a to_o do_v the_o lawyer_n and_o the_o physician_n in_o matter_n that_o concern_v their_o body_n and_o estate_n do_v not_o think_v it_o enough_o to_o hear_v his_o sermon_n in_o public_a but_o take_v advice_n from_o he_o in_o private_a and_o open_a to_o he_o the_o state_n and_o case_n of_o your_o soul_n so_o far_o as_o may_v enable_v he_o to_o give_v such_o direction_n as_o be_v most_o proper_a to_o your_o condition_n this_o especial_o you_o ought_v to_o do_v when_o you_o first_o make_v entrance_n upon_o a_o holy_a life_n and_o do_v first_o address_v yourself_o to_o the_o holy_a communion_n or_o when_o you_o be_v under_o any_o great_a doubt_n and_o trouble_v of_o mind_n and_o be_v vex_v with_o sore_a temptation_n either_o of_o one_o sort_n or_o other_o or_o when_o you_o be_v set_v upon_o by_o such_o that_o will_v draw_v you_o away_o from_o our_o church_n either_o to_o popery_n or_o to_o any_o other_o sect_n among_o we_o then_o present_o betake_v yourself_o to_o your_o minister_n and_o in_o these_o or_o the_o like_a case_n take_v direction_n from_o he_o and_o be_v sure_a to_o
