proper_o any_o part_n of_o repentance_n but_o a_o outward_a sign_n of_o repentance_n which_o be_v wrought_v inward_o in_o the_o mind_n for_o among_o the_o sign_n these_o be_v number_v confession_n of_o the_o mouth_n tear_n humble_v of_o the_o body_n and_o other_o action_n of_o like_a kind_n again_o we_o say_v that_o their_o auricular_a confession_n wherein_o all_o even_o the_o private_a sin_n of_o a_o man_n must_v be_v number_v as_o near_o as_o they_o can_v remember_v and_o whisper_v into_o the_o ear_n of_o the_o priest_n we_o affirm_v i_o say_v that_o such_o a_o confession_n be_v the_o invention_n of_o man_n brain_n whereof_o there_o be_v no_o commandment_n or_o example_n extant_a in_o the_o whole_a scripture_n yea_o very_o the_o will_n of_o god_n be_v that_o many_o private_a sin_n unto_o which_o we_o alone_o be_v privy_a shall_v be_v conceal_v &_o not_o utter_v even_o as_o god_n do_v cover_v the_o multitude_n of_o our_o private_a sin_n of_o his_o free_a will_n and_o mercy_n that_o by_o temporal_a punishment_n which_o we_o willing_o suffer_v for_o our_o sin_n this_o we_o do_v utter_o condemn_v as_o a_o opinion_n which_o do_v derogate_v from_o the_o merit_n and_o satisfaction_n of_o christ_n whereby_o alone_o the_o wrath_n and_o justice_n of_o god_n be_v satisfy_v for_o our_o sin_n and_o as_o for_o these_o temporal_a affliction_n of_o the_o godly_a they_o be_v not_o true_o satisfaction_n for_o their_o sin_n but_o by_o they_o god_n do_v mortify_v the_o remnant_n of_o sin_n and_o by_o that_o mean_n provoke_v we_o to_o earnest_a repentance_n hereby_o curb_v and_o keep_v we_o from_o fall_v into_o sin_n again_o final_o as_o all_o thing_n work_v for_o the_o best_a to_o they_o that_o love_n god_n so_o these_o thing_n which_o be_v not_o so_o much_o punishment_n as_o cross_n do_v work_v together_o for_o the_o best_a for_o the_o godly_a neither_o be_v
