for_o the_o better_a distinct_a understanding_n of_o the_o method_n and_o coherence_n of_o the_o word_n know_v that_o isay_n the_o eagle-eyed_a prophet_n as_o one_o call_v he_o have_v in_o the_o second_o verse_n of_o this_o chapter_n show_v how_o mean_a and_o contemptible_a in_o the_o eye_n of_o man_n christ_n incarnation_n shall_v be_v in_o the_o four_o verse_n he_o show_v what_o the_o judgement_n and_o censure_n of_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v concern_v christ_n how_o base_o and_o indign_o they_o shall_v conceive_v of_o he_o not_o as_o he_o be_v indeed_o the_o innocent_a &_o immaculate_a lamb_n of_o god_n but_o as_o a_o notorious_a malefactor_n one_o that_o for_o his_o own_o sin_n be_v strike_v of_o god_n and_o humble_v but_o how_o unjust_a and_o impious_a their_o opinion_n be_v the_o prophet_n show_v in_o verse_n 5._o whereof_o my_o text_n be_v a_o part_n first_o by_o remove_v the_o false_a cause_n of_o his_o suffering_n which_o be_v suppose_v to_o be_v his_o own_o sin_n in_o this_o particle_n but_o we_o judge_v he_o to_o be_v strike_v and_o afflict_v of_o god_n but_o as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v there_o be_v no_o such_o thing_n he_o first_o remoove_v the_o false_a cause_n of_o his_o suffering_n which_o be_v his_o own_o sin_n we_o judge_v it_o to_o be_v his_o own_o sin_n and_o deserve_v but._n second_o by_o assign_v the_o true_a cause_n in_o these_o word_n he_o be_v wound_v for_o our_o transsion_n not_o for_o any_o sin_n of_o his_o own_o but_o for_o our_o transgression_n you_o see_v the_o coherence_n of_o the_o word_n and_o the_o context_n in_o which_o observe_v three_o part_n for_o they_o be_v a_o description_n of_o christ_n suffering_n first_o consider_v the_o patient_a or_o party_n suffer_v he_o christ_n god_n and_o man_n the_o second_o person_n in_o the_o trinity_n he_o be_v wound_v second_o the_o passion_n itself_o in_o these_o word_n he_o be_v wound_v whereby_o not_o only_o though_o principal_o be_v understand_v the_o torment_n that_o as_o good-friday_n as_o preach_v on_o a_o good-friday_n this_o day_n he_o suffer_v on_o the_o cross_n but_o withal_o all_o the_o calamity_n and_o misery_n that_o befall_v he_o through_o the_o whole_a course_n of_o his_o life_n for_o howsoever_o it_o be_v true_a that_o the_o great_a captain_n of_o our_o salvation_n as_o the_o apostle_n say_v heb._n 2.10_o 2.10_o h●b_n 2.10_o do_v never_o till_o the_o last_o enter_v into_o the_o main_a battle_n with_o the_o spiritual_a enemy_n of_o our_o salvation_n yet_o he_o have_v many_o skirmish_n with_o they_o before_o oft_o in_o his_o life-time_n he_o do_v taste_v and_o sip_v as_o it_o be_v of_o the_o cup_n of_o god_n wrath_n but_o he_o do_v never_o till_o then_o drink_n and_o suck_v up_o the_o dregs_n he_o be_v wound_v for_o our_o transgression_n three_o the_o cause_n or_o reason_n of_o these_o suffering_n our_o transgression_n not_o for_o any_o sin_n or_o demerit_n of_o his_o own_o no_o but_o he_o be_v wound_v for_o our_o sin_n and_o transgression_n i_o shall_v not_o present_o descend_v to_o these_o particular_n i_o find_v a_o but_o in_o the_o entrance_n of_o the_o text_n but_o he_o be_v wound_v for_o our_o transgression_n goldsmith_n weigh_v their_o gold_n to_o the_o utmost_a weight_n and_o the_o privilege_n of_o scripture_n be_v such_o that_o there_o be_v not_o a_o word_n or_o tittle_n but_o it_o be_v as_o full_a of_o weight_n as_o it_o be_v certain_a of_o accomplishment_n this_o but_o be_v like_o a_o counterblast_n of_o a_o contrary_a wind_n that_o meet_v a_o ship_n in_o her_o full_a sail_n and_o turn_v her_o course_n another_o way_n thus_o it_o run_v we_o judge_v he_o strike_v of_o god_n as_o deserve_v it_o by_o his_o own_o sin_n but._n it_o
