the_o time_n eternal_o nor_o 3_o for_o the_o manner_n sinful_o when_o we_o say_v christ_n be_v to_o suffer_v our_o whole_a punishment_n all_o such_o punishment_n as_o can_v be_v suffer_v without_o sin_n as_o desperation_n final_a reprobation_n be_v manifest_o except_v christ_n do_v bear_v all_o our_o punishment_n though_o not_o as_o we_o shall_v have_v bear_v it_o that_o be_v 1._o sinful_o 2._o christ_n do_v suffer_v the_o pain_n of_o hell_n in_o his_o soul_n with_o these_o three_o restriction_n 1._o that_o there_o be_v neither_o indignity_n offer_v to_o his_o royal_a person_n 2._o nor_o injury_n to_o his_o holy_a nature_n 3._o nor_o impossibility_n to_o his_o glorious_a work_n all_o such_o pain_n of_o hell_n then_o as_o christ_n may_v have_v suffer_v 1._o his_o person_n not_o dishonour_v 2._o his_o nature_n with_o sin_n not_o defile_v 3._o his_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n not_o hinder_v we_o do_v steadfast_o believe_v be_v sustain_v by_o our_o bless_a saviour_n consider_v a_o few_o thing_n first_n consider_v the_o adjunct_n of_o hell_n which_o be_v these_o four_o 1._o the_o place_n which_o be_v infernal_a 2._o the_o time_n which_o be_v perpetual_a 3._o the_o darkness_n which_o be_v unspeakable_a 4._o the_o minister_n and_o torment_n the_o spirit_n and_o devil_n which_o be_v irreconcilable_a now_o these_o adjunct_n of_o hell_n christ_n be_v free_v from_o for_o the_o dignity_n of_o his_o person_n it_o be_v not_o fit_a that_o the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o heir_n of_o heaven_n shall_v be_v shut_v up_o in_o hell_n or_o that_o he_o shall_v for_o ever_o be_v torment_v who_o be_v never_o from_o god_n presence_n sequester_v or_o that_o the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v close_v up_o in_o darkness_n or_o that_o he_o who_o bind_v the_o evil_a spirit_n shall_v be_v bind_v by_o they_o etc._n etc._n second_o consider_v the_o effect_n or_o rather_o the_o defect_n of_o hell_n which_o be_v chief_o these_o two_o first_n the_o deprivation_n of_o all_o virtue_n grace_n holiness_n second_o the_o real_a possession_n of_o all_o vice_n impiety_n blasphemy_n etc._n etc._n now_o the_o necessity_n of_o the_o work_n of_o christ_n do_v exempt_v he_o from_o these_o effect_n for_o if_o he_o have_v be_v either_o void_a of_o grace_n or_o possess_v with_o vice_n he_o can_v not_o have_v be_v the_o redeemer_n of_o poor_a lose_a soul_n for_o the_o want_n of_o virtue_n he_o can_v not_o have_v redeem_a other_o for_o the_o presence_n of_o sin_n he_o shall_v have_v be_v redeem_v himself_o and_o from_o fret_a indignation_n and_o fearful_a desperation_n the_o piety_n and_o sanctity_n of_o his_o nature_n do_v preserve_v he_o who_o
