let_v we_o see_v if_o there_o be_v any_o in_o the_o discipline_n and_o government_n thereof_o to_o that_o end_n that_o we_o may_v perceive_v this_o point_n the_o clear_a we_o will_v observe_v the_o discipline_n in_o three_o branch_n first_o divine_a second_o necessary_a three_o indifferent_a first_o divine_a government_n of_o discipline_n be_v such_o a_o order_n discipline_n as_o be_v set_v down_o by_o god_n in_o his_o word_n as_o prayer_n the_o sacrament_n the_o excommunicate_v of_o wicked_a person_n gather_v of_o alm_n for_o the_o poor_a and_o minister_n and_o elder_n for_o the_o government_n of_o the_o congregation_n etc._n etc._n all_o which_o be_v practise_v in_o the_o church_n of_o england_n yet_o they_o object_n that_o the_o sacrament_n be_v not_o observe_v as_o christ_n institute_v they_o for_o there_o be_v add_v the_o surplice_n kneel_v the_o cross_n and_o the_o like_a but_o to_o these_o i_o answer_v thus_o first_o the_o time_n when_o christ_n command_v or_o ordain_v these_o in_o the_o church_n the_o church_n be_v not_o then_o establish_v and_o confine_v to_o any_o place_n and_o therefore_o order_n can_v not_o be_v ordain_v before_o the_o church_n be_v establish_v second_o they_o may_v be_v answer_v thus_o christ_n do_v not_o say_v as_o oft_o as_o you_o observe_v these_o order_n you_o show_v the_o lord_n death_n but_o as_o oft_o as_o you_o eat_v of_o this_o bread_n and_o drink_v of_o this_o cup_n set_v down_o the_o subject_n and_o leave_v the_o order_n of_o it_o unto_o the_o church_n touch_v outward_a ceremony_n three_o it_o may_v be_v answer_v thus_o the_o church_n have_v not_o appoint_v these_o ceremony_n as_o any_o part_n of_o the_o sacrament_n for_o than_o they_o can_v not_o be_v sacrament_n but_o when_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o deliver_v and_o so_o receive_v but_o now_o to_o show_v that_o these_o outward_a ceremony_n be_v no_o part_n of_o the_o sacrament_n they_o be_v administer_v sometime_o with_o they_o and_o sometime_o without_o they_o at_o the_o discretion_n of_o the_o minister_n and_o beside_o this_o observe_v that_o when_o any_o be_v of_o this_o opinion_n that_o these_o be_v not_o lawful_a sacrament_n without_o the_o ceremony_n that_o then_o these_o be_v deny_v the_o ceremony_n though_o they_o have_v the_o sacrament_n to_o the_o end_n they_o may_v know_v these_o ceremony_n to_o be_v no_o part_n of_o divine_a discipline_n for_o if_o they_o be_v they_o can_v not_o nor_o may_v be_v omit_v in_o the_o next_o place_n behold_v that_o discipline_n which_o we_o call_v necessary_a that_o be_v the_o use_n of_o such_o thing_n as_o god_n have_v discipline_n not_o command_v and_o yet_o they_o be_v needful_a and_o warrantable_a by_o consequence_n from_o the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o for_o example_n we_o have_v no_o commandment_n for_o the_o manner_n or_o for_o i_o of_o consecrate_v the_o sacrament_n yet_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o they_o shall_v be_v consecrate_v moreover_o what_o commandment_n have_v we_o for_o a_o form_n of_o prayer_n yet_o it_o be_v necessary_a otherwise_o there_o will_v be_v a_o confusion_n in_o the_o church_n again_o what_o commandment_n have_v we_o for_o the_o burial_n of_o the_o dead_a yet_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o there_o shall_v be_v some_o form_n use_v that_o there_o may_v be_v some_o distinction_n between_o the_o burial_n of_o christian_n and_o dog_n of_o this_o nature_n be_v te_fw-la deum_fw-la laudamus_fw-la after_o the_o first_o lesson_n and_o benedictus_n after_o the_o second_o and_o likewise_o magnificat_fw-la and_o nunc_fw-la demittis_fw-la also_o the_o collect_v and_o church_a of_o woman_n and_o the_o like_a which_o albeit_o god_n have_v not_o set_v down_o by_o way_n of_o precept_n yet_o they_o be_v needful_a and_o can_v be_v omit_v they_o nor_o any_o vice_n to_o omit_v they_o such_o be_v the_o surplice_n the_o cross_n in_o baptism_n kneel_v at_o the_o communion_n wear_v a_o white_a cloth_n to_o be_v church_v and_o sestivall_n day_n which_o thing_n may_v be_v do_v or_o omit_v as_o occasion_n may_v serve_v the_o church_n of_o england_n do_v not_o like_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n tie_v the_o conscience_n to_o the_o
