put_v the_o mind_n under_o great_a discomposure_n the_o thought_n under_o much_o distraction_n and_o the_o affection_n into_o tumult_n and_o rebellion_n ah_o how_o unwilling_a be_v we_o to_o surrender_v to_o the_o lord_n the_o loan_n which_o he_o lend_v we_o to_o be_v disquiet_v by_o trouble_n when_o at_o ease_n in_o our_o enjoyment_n how_o unwelcome_a be_v the_o messenger_n of_o affliction_n to_o the_o best_a man_n we_o be_v ready_a to_o say_v to_o they_o as_o the_o widow_n to_o elijah_n what_o have_v i_o to_o do_v with_o thou_o o_o man_n o_o messenger_n of_o god_n be_v thou_o come_v unto_o i_o to_o call_v my_o sin_n to_o remembrance_n and_o to_o slay_v my_o son_n 1_o king_n 17._o 18._o and_o this_o arise_v partly_o from_o the_o remain_v of_o corruption_n in_o the_o evil_n as_o haply_o never_o fall_v out_o sometime_o repine_v at_o the_o dispose_n of_o god_n as_o more_o severe_a to_o we_o than_o other_o and_o sometime_o reflect_v with_o very_o unbelieving_a and_o unworthy_a thought_n upon_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n and_o his_o faithfulness_n in_o they_o by_o all_o which_o the_o affliction_n be_v make_v to_o sink_v deep_a into_o the_o soul_n before_o it_o actual_o come_v the_o thought_n be_v so_o disorder_v that_o duty_n can_v be_v due_o perform_v and_o the_o soul_n be_v real_o weaken_v and_o disable_v to_o bear_v its_o trial_n when_o it_o come_v indeed_o just_o as_o if_o a_o man_n shall_v be_v keep_v wake_v and_o restless_a all_o the_o night_n with_o the_o thought_n of_o his_o hard_a journey_n which_o he_o must_v travel_v to_o morrow_n and_o so_o when_o to_o morrow_n be_v come_v he_o faint_v for_o want_v of_o rest_n midway_n his_o journey_n it_o be_v here_o suppose_a to_o be_v the_o christian_n great_a duty_n under_o the_o apprehension_n
