know_v to_o be_v godly_a be_v admit_v to_o the_o sacrament_n nor_o the_o door_n of_o fellowship_n straighten_a on_o purpose_n to_o keep_v any_o of_o they_o out_o from_o any_o ordinance_n but_o to_o keep_v out_o those_o who_o be_v scandalous_a or_o ignorant_a and_o that_o chief_o for_o their_o own_o good_a 2._o i_o answer_v that_o i_o do_v not_o propose_v it_o that_o any_o shall_v be_v admit_v either_o because_o they_o be_v presbitterians_n and_o so_o know_v to_o be_v nor_o because_o they_o be_v independent_n or_o anabaptist_n but_o because_o they_o be_v know_v to_o be_v godly_a for_o there_o may_v be_v such_o of_o any_o party_n creep_v in_o who_o be_v not_o godly_a but_o turn_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n into_o wantonness_n and_o laciviousnesse_n and_o deny_v the_o only_a lord_n god_n and_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n see_v judas_n 4._o i_o do_v not_o move_v to_o the_o receive_n of_o any_o but_o that_o be_v know_v to_o be_v godly_a of_o what_o ever_o form_n or_o church_n or_o way_n 3._o i_o do_v not_o move_v that_o every_o one_o may_v have_v liberty_n to_o invite_v another_o but_o those_o that_o be_v know_v and_o approve_v to_o be_v godly_a and_o judicious_a for_o â—dmitteth_v he_o let_v he_o bear_v the_o blame_n as_o may_v be_v think_v fit_a the_o church_n be_v guiltless_a object_n but_o it_o will_v be_v object_v that_o it_o be_v a_o main_a principle_n in_o church-pollicy_n to_o admit_v none_o that_o be_v not_o polliticial_o incorporate_v into_o some_o church_n or_o other_o and_o that_o be_v willing_a to_o submit_v and_o engage_v to_o the_o discipline_n thereof_o answ_n 1._o i_o answer_v it_o be_v true_a that_o it_o be_v a_o old_a and_o main_a principle_n in_o church_n policy_n but_o i_o for_o my_o part_n can_v never_o learn_v from_o what_o scripture_n ground_n it_o can_v be_v prove_v lawful_a answ_n 2._o but_o be_o and_o always_o have_v be_v against_o it_o in_o my_o judgement_n since_o i_o first_o know_v it_o to_o be_v their_o principle_n and_o practice_n but_o shall_v be_v glad_a if_o any_o will_v inform_v i_o how_o it_o can_v be_v lawful_a consider_v the_o precedent_a ground_n of_o this_o discourse_n and_o most_o especial_o that_o command_n of_o the_o apostle_n receive_v you_o one_o another_o even_o as_o jesus_n christ_n have_v receive_v you_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n the_o father_n see_v rom._n 15.7_o now_o if_o we_o do_v not_o receive_v one_o another_o to_o the_o outward_a ordinance_n and_o christian_a communion_n which_o be_v all_o the_o glory_n that_o we_o can_v receive_v and_o admit_v they_o too_o how_o do_v we_o follow_v christ_n who_o have_v receive_v we_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n the_o father_n which_o be_v the_o high_a and_o great_a glory_n that_o he_o himself_o can_v have_v and_o this_o his_o love_n to_o we_o have_v engage_v he_o to_o when_o as_o yet_o we_o be_v sinner_n and_o it_o always_o look_v so_o like_a to_o the_o practice_n of_o diotrephes_n who_o love_v to_o have_v the_o pre-eminence_n and_o receive_v not_o the_o apostle_n john_n nor_o the_o brethren_n etc._n etc._n insomuch_o that_o these_o principle_n in_o my_o opinion_n engage_v in_o a_o great_a measure_n to_o the_o very_a same_o practice_n for_o if_o the_o apostle_n john_n yea_o or_o christ_n himself_o shall_v come_v among_o we_o as_o so_o he_o do_v sometime_o in_o his_o member_n he_o can_v not_o be_v receive_v till_o he_o first_o conform_v himself_o both_o in_o judgement_n and_o practice_n or_o profess_v so_o at_o least_o and_o also_o engage_v to_o submit_v to_o the_o discipline_n and_o so_o be_v under_o those_o who_o be_v all_o under_o he_o else_o he_o must_v not_o communicate_v but_o this_o i_o dare_v affirm_v and_o have_v always_o so_o account_v it_o as_o a_o dangerous_a thing_n for_o any_o church_n or_o any_o part_n or_o member_n of_o a_o church_n neither_o to_o receive_v the_o brethren_n nor_o suffer_v they_o that_o will_v see_v 3_o john_n 9_o 10_o 11._o especial_o consider_v there_o be_v no_o ground_n that_o i_o yet_o know_v of_o in_o all_o the_o scripture_n for_o such_o a_o policy_n but_o be_v mere_o invent_v to_o engage_v or_o enforce_v man_n to_o their_o own_o principle_n and_o practice_n whether_o their_o judgement_n be_v convince_v of_o the_o lawfulness_n thereof_o yea_o or_o no_o the_o which_o be_v not_o christian_n it_o be_v not_o do_v by_o our_o brethren_n as_o we_o will_v that_o they_o shall_v do_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o like_a case_n object_n but_o it_o will_v be_v say_v if_o they_o be_v not_o incorporate_v with_o we_o
