find_v so_o faulty_a as_o for_o instance_n a_o man_n that_o have_v have_v cause_n to_o be_v jealous_a of_o his_o wife_n and_o have_v see_v some_o miscarriage_n all_o the_o friend_n she_o can_v make_v be_v not_o able_a to_o satisfy_v and_o take_v away_o all_o ground_n of_o fear_n and_o jealousy_n from_o he_o by_o their_o persuasion_n but_o he_o will_v still_o suspect_v because_o he_o once_o have_v discern_n of_o its_o own_o unrighteousness_n all_o the_o persuasion_n of_o other_o can_v make_v it_o have_v any_o good_a opinion_n of_o itself_o nor_o persuade_v it_o of_o its_o righteousness_n unless_o they_o can_v take_v away_o that_o unrighteousness_n and_o sin_n and_o make_v it_o to_o be_v no_o sin_n and_o no_o unrighteousness_n for_o the_o soul_n which_o be_v only_o trouble_v for_o holy_a life_n and_o walk_v according_a to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o if_o they_o answer_v they_o can_v do_v thus_o o_o then_o say_v they_o can_v you_o not_o desire_v to_o pray_v and_o repent_v and_o if_o they_o say_v they_o can_v desire_v o_o but_o then_o say_v they_o can_v you_o not_o desire_v that_o you_o may_v desire_v and_o thus_o they_o wind_v they_o up_o by_o act_n of_o their_o own_o spirit_n and_o run_v they_o out_o to_o the_o end_n of_o their_o own_o work_n when_o alas_o these_o desire_n of_o desire_n and_o the_o spine_n of_o such_o fine_a thread_n in_o divinity_n be_v not_o strong_a enough_o to_o bind_v up_o a_o break_a spirit_n this_o be_v but_o the_o break_a work_n of_o a_o soul_n for_o how_o many_o have_v desire_v to_o enter_v in_o and_o have_v not_o be_v able_a nay_o who_o be_v there_o not_o that_o have_v a_o desire_n all_o the_o world_n of_o common_a believer_n be_v carry_v on_o by_o this_o principle_n of_o a_o desire_n we_o see_v now_o the_o vanity_n of_o such_o reason_n with_o a_o soul_n trouble_v for_o sin_n and_o question_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o spiritual_a work_n in_o themselves_o such_o kind_n of_o argue_v may_v give_v some_o hint_n to_o the_o soul_n a_o discourse_n but_o these_o be_v too_o narrow_a and_o weak_a to_o bear_v up_o the_o burden_n of_o sin_n and_o legal_a terror_n like_o the_o bottom_n and_o point_n of_o a_o top_n which_o be_v so_o small_a may_v for_o some_o time_n that_o it_o be_v in_o motion_n bear_v up_o the_o body_n of_o the_o top_n as_o we_o see_v but_o when_o the_o motion_n be_v do_v the_o top_n fall_v have_v nothing_o proportionable_a to_o support_v it_o so_o the_o soul_n turn_v upon_o some_o hint_n of_o comfort_n a_o while_n but_o flatten_v again_o and_o this_o be_v the_o further_a and_o strong_a satisfaction_n the_o discourse_n of_o such_o divine_n can_v give_v yet_o i_o despise_v they_o not_o in_o this_o light_n they_o have_v so_o they_o contend_v not_o against_o the_o more_o glorious_a light_n of_o truth_n but_o the_o lord_n if_o he_o please_v reveal_v more_o unto_o they_o but_o you_o will_v say_v how_o will_v you_o deal_v then_o with_o a_o soul_n thus_o puzzle_v and_o question_v i_o answer_v i_o shall_v not_o dare_v to_o place_v they_o on_o any_o bottom_n of_o their_o own_o righteousness_n or_o to_o satisfy_v themselves_o by_o something_o only_o in_o themselves_o that_o be_v to_o take_v the_o disease_n for_o the_o physician_n and_o to_o give_v they_o no_o ointment_n but_o blood_n of_o their_o own_o wound_n to_o heal_v they_o nor_o shall_v i_o take_v that_o other_o way_n which_o many_o do_v that_o be_v of_o this_o legal_a strain_n too_o as_o to_o apply_v promise_n to_o they_o first_o which_o many_o time_n instead_o of_o draw_v the_o soul_n to_o christ_n put_v it_o further_o off_o bring_v some_o condition_n which_o the_o soul_n question_v in_o themselves_o dare_v not_o meddle_v with_o before_o it_o be_v prepare_v by_o christ_n and_o his_o freeness_n but_o you_o will_v righteousness_n but_o you_o will_v say_v what_o be_v all_o the_o divers_a scripture_n which_o set_v we_o upon_o trial_n and_o examination_n of_o our_o say_v and_o work_n i_o answer_v there_o be_v another_o kind_n of_o analogy_n and_o rule_n to_o interpret_v these_o by_o more_o principal_a and_o not_o of_o assurance_n for_o salvation_n these_o be_v rather_o mark_n for_o other_o than_o ourselves_o to_o know_v we_o by_o as_o in_o the_o epistle_n of_o john_n and_o james_n etc._n etc._n and_o for_o those_o other_o few_o scripture_n they_o be_v rather_o to_o be_v interpret_v to_o the_o testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n witness_v and_o persuade_v then_o to_o the_o mix_v spiritual_o carnal_a work_n of_o our_o obedience_n and_o holiness_n which_o can_v give_v but_o a_o mix_a act_n of_o assurance_n at_o the_o best_a be_v of_o a_o mix_a nature_n of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n but_o you_o will_v say_v what_o way_n of_o assurance_n will_v you_o commend_v to_o a_o soul_n thus_o trouble_v i_o answer_v christ_n in_o the_o word_n and_o promise_n to_o believe_v in_o for_o assurance_n this_o be_v that_o way_n the_o lord_n himself_o commend_v to_o his_o disciple_n as_o to_o peter_n when_o he_o know_v he_o shall_v deny_v he_o and_o foretell_v he_o of_o it_o and_o know_v how_o it_o will_v discourage_v he_o and_o wound_v he_o yet_o he_o put_v not_o peter_n to_o this_o
