they_o think_v they_o triumph_v over_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o church_n when_o they_o do_v it_o only_o over_o the_o mistake_n of_o some_o particular_a person_n but_o the_o foundation_n of_o this_o mistake_n lie_v in_o the_o consideration_n of_o punishment_n under_o the_o notion_n of_o debt_n and_o that_o satisfaction_n therefore_o must_v be_v by_o strict_a payment_n in_o rigour_n of_o law_n but_o how_o great_a that_o mistake_n be_v will_v appear_v in_o the_o subsequent_a discourse_n but_o it_o can_v but_o be_v wonder_v at_o that_o the_o very_a same_o person_n who_o consider_v sin_n as_o debt_n which_o must_v be_v strict_o satisfy_v for_o do_v withal_o contend_v for_o the_o absolute_a necessity_n of_o this_o satisfaction_n whereas_o socinus_n his_o argument_n will_v hold_v good_a if_o sin_n be_v only_o consider_v as_o debt_n and_o god_n as_o the_o mere_a creditor_n of_o punishment_n he_o may_v as_o free_o part_v with_o his_o own_o right_n without_o satisfaction_n as_o any_o withal_o they_o assert_v that_o in_o case_n of_o impenitency_n it_o be_v not_o only_o agreeable_a but_o due_a to_o the_o nature_n and_o decree_n and_o therefore_o to_o the_o rectitude_n and_o equity_n be_v consider_v as_o they_o be_v so_o displease_v to_o god_n that_o it_o be_v necessary_a for_o the_o vindication_n of_o god_n honour_n and_o the_o deter_v the_o world_n from_o sin_n that_o no_o less_o a_o sacrifice_n of_o atonement_n shall_v be_v offer_v than_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n so_o that_o we_o understand_v a_o impulsive_a cause_n here_o in_o the_o sense_n that_o
