he_o call_v they_o man_n and_o brethren_n he_o add_v thereunto_o child_n of_o the_o generation_n of_o abraham_n in_o which_o name_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o covenant_n and_o promise_n of_o god_n he_o know_v they_o great_o rejoice_v yet_o that_o they_o shall_v not_o think_v the_o prerogative_n of_o the_o nation_n sufficient_a he_o admonish_v they_o also_o of_o their_o duty_n where_o he_o say_v and_o whosoever_o among_o you_o fear_v god._n for_o by_o this_o mean_v he_o teach_v they_o that_o they_o be_v then_o the_o true_a and_o right_a child_n of_o abraham_n that_o join_v unto_o outward_a he_o think_v the_o gentile_n still_o exclude_v from_o the_o fellowship_n of_o salvation_n who_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v appoint_v he_o to_o call_v but_o he_o have_v a_o respect_n unto_o the_o counsel_n of_o god_n who_o as_o he_o set_v forth_o the_o promise_n of_o christ_n unto_o the_o father_n of_o the_o jew_n and_o call_v they_o out_o from_o other_o as_o a_o peculiar_a people_n unto_o himself_o so_o will_v he_o first_o have_v the_o salvation_n give_v we_o in_o christ_n preach_v unto_o they_o as_o christ_n in_o the_o gospel_n evident_o testify_v when_o he_o first_o send_v out_o the_o apostle_n 10._o forbid_v they_o to_o go_v into_o the_o way_n of_o the_o gentile_n but_o when_o the_o veil_n whereby_o the_o gentile_n be_v divide_v from_o the_o jew_n be_v remove_v away_o by_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n then_o also_o be_v the_o door_n open_v unto_o they_o that_o be_v make_v the_o child_n of_o abraham_n by_o faith_n they_o may_v enter_v into_o the_o same_o inheritance_n of_o salvation_n with_o the_o jew_n therefore_o paul_n admonish_v the_o jew_n of_o the_o prerogative_n that_o god_n do_v give_v they_o lest_o they_o shall_v unadvised_o reject_v the_o knowledge_n of_o christ_n as_o nothing_o appertain_v unto_o they_o and_o this_o example_n of_o paul_n ought_v all_o minister_n of_o the_o word_n to_o follow_v remember_v that_o they_o must_v so_o preach_v the_o word_n be_v the_o author_n thereof_o for_o jerusalem_n be_v the_o sea_n of_o religion_n priesthood_n and_o doctrine_n and_o from_o thence_o according_a to_o ancient_a prophecy_n 2._o be_v the_o word_n of_o salvation_n look_v wherefore_o it_o can_v not_o choose_v but_o seem_v a_o great_a absurdity_n to_o acknowledge_v he_o for_o a_o saviour_n who_o the_o chief_a of_o jerusalem_n put_v to_o the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n as_o a_o schismatic_n and_o a_o deceiver_n and_o to_o embrace_v that_o doctrine_n that_o be_v not_o receive_v at_o jerusalem_n for_o such_o be_v the_o authority_n of_o the_o holy_a city_n for_o so_o the_o prophet_n call_v jerusalem_n that_o many_o think_v it_o impossible_a for_o they_o to_o err_v in_o matter_n of_o faith_n and_o religion_n but_o paul_n so_o answer_v this_o offence_n that_o he_o teach_v the_o example_n of_o that_o city_n be_v rather_o to_o be_v avoid_v than_o to_o be_v follow_v lest_o they_o may_v offend_v god_n through_o like_a ingratitude_n and_o impiety_n and_o there_o be_v four_o thing_n which_o he_o bring_v to_o this_o end_n scripture_n first_o he_o say_v they_o that_o dwell_v at_o jerusalem_n and_o their_o ruler_n because_o they_o know_v he_o not_o condemn_v he_o therefore_o he_o say_v ignorance_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o their_o so_o heinous_a a_o offence_n as_o also_o be_v say_v 1._o cor_fw-la â–ª_o 2._o who_o will_v think_v it_o a_o thing_n worthy_a to_o be_v follow_v when_o he_o hear_v man_n sin_n of_o ignorance_n and_o yet_o this_o be_v not_o to_o be_v count_v such_o ignorance_n as_o excuse_v the_o deed_n for_o they_o be_v say_v also_o to_o be_v ignorant_a of_o the_o scripture_n yea_o of_o those_o common_a scripture_n which_o use_v to_o be_v read_v every_o sabbath_n day_n but_o it_o be_v a_o foul_a thing_n and_o not_o worthy_a to_o be_v pardon_v for_o a_o priest_n to_o be_v ignorant_a in_o the_o scripture_n 2._o consider_v god_n command_v to_o search_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o law_n at_o his_o hand_n furthermore_o he_o take_v from_o they_o a_o great_a part_n of_o their_o excuse_n 5._o in_o that_o christ_n admonish_v they_o to_o search_v the_o scripture_n but_o paul_n in_o another_o place_n say_v that_o this_o be_v the_o only_a cause_n of_o their_o ignorance_n for_o that_o they_o be_v occupy_v in_o read_v moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n without_o the_o help_n of_o christ_n for_o this_o be_v that_o veil_n that_o be_v the_o only_a cause_n that_o they_o can_v not_o see_v moses_n face_n 3._o that_o be_v to_o say_v the_o true_a meaning_n of_o the_o law_n see_v therefore_o they_o be_v blind_a guide_n as_o christ_n also_o call_v they_o math._n 15._o they_o be_v not_o to_o be_v
and_o trust_n apostle_n which_o they_o do_v use_v in_o the_o office_n commit_v unto_o they_o for_o as_o we_o see_v in_o the_o end_n of_o the_o chapter_n before_o the_o magistrate_n of_o antioch_n so_o take_v against_o they_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o instigation_n of_o the_o jew_n that_o they_o be_v in_o danger_n of_o their_o life_n and_o be_v banish_v the_o coast_n of_o pisidia_n in_o shameful_a wise_n beside_o there_o be_v diverse_a thing_n which_o may_v have_v make_v they_o despair_v of_o the_o jew_n salvation_n for_o they_o be_v not_o ignorant_a of_o the_o prophecy_n and_o threat_n of_o christ_n which_o with_o one_o consent_n declare_v how_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v carry_v to_o the_o gentile_n and_o they_o may_v many_o way_n perceive_v that_o the_o time_n of_o this_o forsake_v be_v at_o hand_n and_o what_o i_o pray_v you_o may_v they_o hope_v for_o at_o their_o hand_n who_o they_o see_v imbrue_v with_o the_o blood_n of_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o who_o do_v deadly_a hate_n the_o truth_n yet_o go_v they_o on_o constant_o execute_v the_o charge_n commit_v to_o they_o of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n lest_o any_o shall_v perish_v through_o their_o sloth_n and_o no_o doubt_n but_o that_o say_n ring_v in_o their_o ear_n which_o be_v say_v unto_o ezechiel_n if_o i_o say_v unto_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a man_n without_o doubt_n thou_o shall_v die_v 3_n enemy_n that_o the_o apostle_n so_o painful_o and_o with_o such_o peril_n travail_n to_o bring_v a_o most_o envious_a nation_n and_o like_v short_o to_o perish_v by_o reason_n of_o their_o incurable_a wickedness_n unto_o salvation_n for_o where_o charity_n always_o hope_v well_o they_o also_o hope_v that_o some_o remnant_n may_v be_v save_v as_o we_o see_v come_v to_o pass_v oftentimes_o in_o shipwreck_n hereof_o come_v it_o that_o paul_n so_o incessant_o pray_v for_o they_o 10.9_o and_o wish_v to_o be_v accurse_v so_o that_o they_o may_v be_v save_v the_o like_a affection_n we_o see_v in_o christ_n who_o be_v move_v with_o all_o manner_n of_o pity_n when_o he_o see_v they_o miserable_o disperse_v like_o sheep_n that_o have_v no_o shepherd_n he_o weep_v also_o when_o he_o behold_v that_o bloody_a jerusalem_n because_o he_o see_v they_o obstinate_a run_v into_o their_o own_o destruction_n 19_o and_o will_v not_o know_v the_o day_n of_o their_o visitation_n by_o these_o example_n be_v those_o barbarous_a and_o gross_a people_n reprove_v who_o be_v touch_v so_o little_a with_o the_o calamity_n of_o other_o or_o else_o so_o impotent_o lead_v with_o the_o desire_n of_o private_a they_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n which_o so_o far_o differ_v from_o the_o nature_n and_o property_n of_o god_n 2._o for_o he_o desire_v that_o man_n shall_v be_v save_v and_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o truth_n he_o use_v to_o spare_v whole_a city_n for_o a_o fewes_n sake_n that_o be_v good_a which_o city_n they_o desire_v to_o be_v destroy_v for_o a_o fewes_n sake_n that_o be_v faithful_o labour_v in_o his_o name_n for_o as_o peter_n let_v slip_n his_o net_n at_o the_o lord_n bid_v catch_v a_o great_a hale_v of_o fish_n have_v before_o take_v nothing_o as_o long_a as_o he_o follow_v his_o own_o head_n so_o as_o many_o as_o order_v their_o matter_n in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n and_o as_o he_o appoint_v they_o find_v great_a commodity_n of_o their_o labour_n than_o they_o look_v for_o therefore_o it_o must_v be_v attribute_v to_o our_o sloth_n and_o falsehood_n that_o so_o little_a good_a be_v do_v in_o these_o day_n for_o how_o shall_v the_o lord_n with_o his_o help_n prosper_v they_o who_o have_v no_o regard_n of_o his_o glory_n seek_v only_o their_o own_o commodity_n and_o never_o will_v adventure_v to_o do_v any_o thing_n for_o god_n name_n sake_n and_o for_o the_o salvation_n of_o all_o man_n â–ª_o also_o it_o appear_v in_o this_o place_n as_o we_o have_v often_o say_v that_o the_o enterprise_n of_o christ_n enemy_n be_v in_o vain_a and_o that_o his_o kingdom_n by_o persecution_n be_v rather_o furthr_v than_o hinder_v the_o continual_a course_n of_o the_o act_n of_o the_o apostle_n declare_v the_o same_o if_o we_o well_o regard_v it_o let_v we_o in_o these_o thing_n acknowledge_v the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n and_o not_o despair_v to_o soon_o of_o christ_n kingdom_n see_v he_o can_v so_o prosperous_o defeat_v the_o device_n of_o his_o enemy_n apostle_n furthermore_o after_o this_o good_a success_n christ_n kingdom_n be_v afresh_o persecute_v so_o that_o a_o man_n may_v see_v it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o christ_n foreshow_v concern_v
