everlasting_a peace_n hide_v from_o their_o eye_n o_o most_o sad_a and_o deplorable_a condition_n what_o hope_n can_v there_o be_v of_o such_o a_o one_o sinner_n upon_o this_o account_n our_o saviour_n here_o look_v upon_o jerusalem_n estate_n as_o most_o forlorn_a and_o desperate_a she_o neither_o have_v nor_o will_v see_v what_o belong_v to_o her_o peace_n so_o as_o through_o her_o wilful_a ignorance_n this_o be_v hide_v from_o her_o eye_n and_o therefore_o let_v she_o now_o make_v account_n of_o what_o follow_v the_o day_n shall_v come_v upon_o thou_o when_o thy_o enemy_n shall_v cast_v a_o trench_n about_o thou_o etc._n etc._n and_o even_o such_o be_v the_o condition_n of_o all_o wilful_a and_o obstinate_a sinner_n who_o shut_v out_o the_o light_n of_o god_n truth_n out_o of_o their_o heart_n will_v not_o give_v way_n to_o the_o admonition_n direction_n conviction_n of_o the_o word_n and_o spirit_n so_o as_o to_o be_v wrought_v upon_o by_o they_o to_o be_v change_v and_o reform_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o life_n let_v they_o make_v account_n that_o the_o like_a day_n shall_v come_v upon_o they_o day_n of_o blackness_n and_o darkness_n day_n of_o judgement_n and_o vengeance_n it_o may_v be_v temporal_a which_o they_o have_v just_a cause_n to_o fear_v continual_o hang_v over_o their_o head_n however_o eternal_a and_o o_o that_o now_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o lord_n may_v fall_v and_o take_v hold_v upon_o every_o one_o of_o you_o such_o who_o condition_n this_o be_v that_o be_v awaken_v you_o may_v be_v also_o persuade_v to_o open_v your_o eye_n to_o set_v open_a the_o door_n and_o window_n of_o your_o soul_n to_o let_v in_o the_o sun_n of_o righteousness_n to_o let_v in_o that_o heavenly_a light_n which_o shine_v forth_o unto_o you_o that_o so_o the_o thing_n which_o belong_v unto_o your_o peace_n your_o eternal_a peace_n and_o happiness_n they_o may_v be_v no_o long_o hide_v from_o your_o eye_n which_o if_o they_o still_o be_v through_o your_o obstinacy_n and_o wilfulness_n for_o other_o cause_n you_o can_v assign_v none_o then_o take_v heed_n lest_o that_o god_n who_o patience_n you_o have_v abuse_v and_o who_o grace_n you_o have_v reject_v do_v in_o his_o most_o righteous_a judgement_n seal_v up_o your_o eye_n pass_v a_o irrevocable_a sentence_n upon_o you_o that_o see_v you_o will_v not_o see_v therefore_o you_o shall_v not_o see_v but_o that_o these_o thing_n be_v now_o from_o henceforth_o for_o ever_o hide_v from_o your_o eye_n and_o so_o i_o be_o fall_v upon_o the_o second_o particular_a the_o second_o ground_n and_o cause_n of_o this_o blindness_n in_o jerusalem_n judgement_n the_o thing_n belong_v to_o her_o peace_n be_v hide_v from_o her_o eye_n as_o through_o her_o own_o wilful_a they_o from_o thou_o thus_o it_o be_v obs._n day_n of_o grace_n have_v their_o date_n date_n mark_v it_o this_o be_v the_o observation_n which_o this_o passage_n natural_o yield_v we_o day_n of_o grace_n have_v their_o date_n time_n and_o season_n wherein_o the_o grace_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v offer_v and_o tender_v to_o the_o son_n of_o man_n for_o their_o acceptance_n they_o be_v limit_v they_o have_v their_o term_n and_o boundary_n beyond_o which_o they_o shall_v not_o extend_v hence_o be_v it_o that_o they_o be_v call_v by_o the_o name_n of_o day_n if_o thou_o have_v know_v in_o this_o thy_o day_n now_o a_o day_n be_v a_o determine_a time_n however_o there_o be_v winter-day_n and_o summer-day_n some_o short_a other_o long_o yet_o each_o be_v limit_v and_o measure_v by_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o sun_n and_o so_o be_v the_o season_n of_o grace_n which_o god_n vouchsafe_v unto_o the_o son_n of_o man_n upon_o earth_n though_o some_o be_v long_o than_o other_o yet_o also_o strive_v with_o they_o inward_o by_o the_o inward_a motion_n and_o operation_n of_o his_o spirit_n press_v and_o urge_v their_o conscience_n to_o reformation_n and_o repentance_n thus_o he_o have_v strive_v with_o they_o and_o that_o long_a but_o he_o will_v not_o ever_o so_o do_v my_o spirit_n shall_v not_o ever_o strive_v with_o man_n and_o thereupon_o he_o limit_n they_o a_o time_n for_o their_o repentance_n the_o day_n of_o man_n shall_v be_v a_o hundred_o and_o twenty_o year_n not_o that_o the_o time_n of_o man_n life_n shall_v not_o afterward_o exceed_v that_o number_n of_o year_n for_o we_o find_v diverse_a after_o the_o flood_n live_v much_o long_o but_o so_o long_o shall_v their_o day_n of_o grace_n and_o mercy_n last_o so_o long_a a_o time_n out_o of_o his_o gracious_a indulgence_n god_n will_v yet_o allow_v to_o that_o generation_n to_o bethink_v themselves_o to_o reform_v their_o heart_n and_o life_n in_o which_o if_o once_o past_a and_o not_o improve_v for_o the_o end_n to_o which_o it_o be_v allot_v they_o than_o they_o must_v look_v for_o no_o more_o mercy_n but_o a_o deluge_n of_o vengeance_n shall_v sweep_v they_o off_o from_o the_o face_n of_o the_o earth_n to_o this_o i_o may_v subjoin_v that_o of_o nineveh_n which_o have_v she_o forty_o day_n and_o no_o more_o allow_v unto_o she_o for_o the_o same_o end_n forty_o day_n and_o nineveh_n shall_v be_v destroy_v jon._n 3._o 4._o viz._n except_o within_o that_o time_n they_o repent_v which_o condition_n god_n reserve_v to_o himself_o thus_o there_o be_v a_o time_n appoint_v and_o determine_v by_o god_n which_o though_o he_o do_v not_o declare_v to_o other_o yet_o he_o have_v set_v down_o with_o himself_o how_o long_o he_o will_v strive_v with_o a_o nation_n a_o people_n how_o long_o he_o will_v wait_v for_o their_o repentance_n which_o time_n be_v past_a than_o the_o date_n of_o mercy_n be_v out_o so_o it_o be_v with_o jerusalem_n here_o she_o have_v have_v her_o day_n a_o day_n of_o grace_n and_o that_o a_o long_a day_n wherein_o
