whether_o it_o be_v true_a or_o not_o be_v to_o be_v consider_v by_o that_o light_n which_o we_o have_v from_o the_o holy_a scripture_n concerning_o the_o power_n of_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n over_o such_o as_o they_o have_v convert_v but_o our_o saviour_n as_o he_o imitate_v the_o commonwealth_n of_o the_o jew_n in_o his_o magistrate_n the_o twelve_o and_o the_o seventy_o so_o do_v he_o also_o in_o the_o censure_n of_o the_o church_n which_o be_v excommunication_n but_o among_o the_o jew_n the_o church_n do_v put_v the_o excommunicate_a person_n from_o the_o congregation_n which_o they_o may_v do_v by_o their_o power_n temporal_a but_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n who_o take_v upon_o they_o no_o such_o power_n can_v not_o forbid_v the_o excommunicate_a person_n to_o enter_v into_o any_o place_n and_o congregation_n into_o which_o he_o be_v permit_v to_o enter_v by_o the_o prince_n or_o sovereign_a of_o the_o place_n for_o that_o have_v be_v to_o deprive_v the_o sovereign_n of_o his_o authority_n and_o therefore_o the_o excommunication_n of_o a_o person_n subject_a to_o a_o earthly_a power_n be_v but_o a_o declaration_n of_o the_o church_n which_o do_v excommunicate_a that_o the_o person_n so_o excommunicate_v be_v to_o be_v repute_v still_o as_o a_o infidel_n but_o not_o to_o be_v drive_v by_o their_o authority_n out_o of_o any_o company_n he_o may_v otherwise_o lawful_o come_v into_o and_o this_o be_v it_o our_o saviour_n say_v math._n 18.17_o if_o he_o refuse_v to_o hear_v the_o church_n let_v he_o be_v unto_o thou_o as_o a_o heathen_a man_n and_o a_o publican_n so_o that_o the_o whole_a effect_n of_o excommunicate_v a_o christian_a prince_n be_v no_o more_o than_o he_o or_o they_o that_o so_o excommunicate_v he_o depart_v and_o banish_v themselves_o out_o of_o his_o dominion_n nor_o can_v they_o thereupon_o discharge_v any_o of_o his_o subject_n of_o their_o obedience_n to_o he_o for_o that_o be_v to_o deprive_v he_o of_o that_o our_o saviour_n give_v no_o authority_n to_o his_o apostle_n to_o be_v judge_n over_o they_o and_o therefore_o in_o no_o case_n can_v the_o sovereign_a power_n of_o a_o commonwealth_n be_v subject_a to_o any_o authority_n ecclesiastical_a beside_o that_o of_o christ_n himself_o and_o though_o he_o be_v inform_v concerning_o the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n and_o subject_n himself_o thereto_o at_o the_o persuasion_n of_o person_n ecclesiastical_a yet_o be_v he_o not_o thereby_o subject_a to_o their_o government_n and_o rule_n for_o if_o it_o be_v by_o their_o authority_n he_o
