talk_v of_o a_o absolute_a monarchy_n and_o what_o a_o absolute_a monarch_n be_v or_o may_v do_v and_o it_o be_v only_o the_o language_n of_o flattery_n that_o hold_v such_o discourse_n 2_o it_o need_v not_o be_v count_v a_o solecism_n as_o some_o will_v persuade_v we_o to_o speak_v of_o free_a subject_n in_o a_o monarchy_n such_o a_o monarchy_n as_o we_o be_v 3_o if_o this_o government_n be_v a_o mixture_n of_o all_o three_o than_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o the_o representative_a body_n of_o the_o people_n must_v needs_o be_v allow_v a_o share_n in_o government_n some_o at_o least_o which_o yet_o be_v deny_v page_n 19_o 4_o if_o this_o government_n be_v a_o mixture_n than_o be_v not_o the_o government_n according_a to_o these_o law_n sole_o trust_v to_o the_o king_n as_o seem_v to_o be_v affirm_v page_n 18._o 5_o if_o the_o government_n be_v regulate_v why_o do_v man_n tell_v we_o that_o the_o king_n be_v above_o all_o law_n for_o it_o be_v by_o law_n that_o he_o be_v regulate_v 6_o if_o the_o king_n be_v regulate_v by_o the_o law_n then_o be_v the_o king_n accountable_a to_o the_o law_n and_o not_o to_o god_n only_o as_o man_n will_v make_v we_o believe_v 7_o if_o the_o monarchy_n or_o regal_a authority_n itself_o be_v regulate_v than_o whatsoever_o be_v do_v by_o the_o king_n undeniable_o without_o and_o beyond_o the_o limit_n of_o that_o regulation_n be_v not_o regal_a authority_n and_o therefore_o 8_o to_o resist_v the_o notorious_a transgression_n of_o that_o regulation_n be_v no_o resist_v of_o regal_a authority_n and_o 9_o it_o be_v so_o far_o from_o be_v a_o resist_n of_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n that_o it_o be_v not_o so_o much_o as_o resist_v the_o ordinance_n of_o man_n q_o 5._o by_o who_o be_v this_o government_n frame_v in_o this_o sort_n or_o who_o be_v to_o be_v account_v the_o immediate_a efficient_a of_o the_o constitution_n thereof_o a._o the_o experience_n and_o wisdom_n of_o your_o ancestor_n have_v so_o mould_v this_o page_n 18._o observ._n 1._o if_o our_o ancestor_n be_v the_o moulder_n of_o this_o government_n than_o the_o king_n have_v not_o his_o power_n solely_n or_o immediate_o by_o divine_a right_n 2_o much_o less_o have_v he_o his_o power_n or_o authority_n by_o right_n of_o conquest_n 3_o but_o the_o immediate_a original_a of_o it_o be_v from_o the_o people_n and_o if_o so_o then_o 4_o in_o question_a case_n the_o king_n be_v to_o produce_v his_o grant_n for_o he_o have_v no_o more_o than_o what_o be_v grant_v and_o not_o the_o people_n to_o show_v a_o reservation_n for_o all_o be_v presume_v to_o be_v reserve_v which_o can_v be_v prove_v to_o be_v grant_v away_o q._n 6_o be_v this_o regulate_v and_o mix_v monarchy_n as_o good_a as_o a_o absolute_a monarchy_n or_o better_o or_o worse_o a._o this_o excellent_a constitution_n of_o this_o kingdom_n the_o ancient_a equal_a happy_a well-poysed_a and_o never_o enough_o commend_v constitution_n of_o the_o government_n of_o this_o kingdom_n page_n 17._o have_v make_v this_o nation_n so_o many_o year_n both_o famous_a and_o happy_a and_o to_o a_o great_a degree_n of_o envy_n page_n 20._o q._n 7_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o this_o constitution_n be_v so_o excellent_a a._o the_o experience_n and_o wisdom_n of_o your_o ancestor_n have_v so_o mould_v this_o out_o of_o a_o mixture_n of_o these_o as_o to_o give_v to_o this_o kingdom_n as_o far_o as_o human_a prudence_n can_v provide_v the_o convenience_n of_o all_o three_o without_o the_o inconvenience_n of_o any_o one_o p._n 18_o observ._n 1._o then_o those_o that_o will_v place_v in_o the_o king_n a_o absolute_a and_o abitrary_a power_n to_o do_v what_o he_o list_v be_v destructive_a to_o the_o nation_n happiness_n and_o enemy_n to_o the_o kingdom_n 2._o if_o this_o mixture_n cause_n this_o happiness_n than_o it_o be_v not_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o king_n power_n over_o his_o people_n but_o the_o restraint_n of_o that_o power_n that_o have_v make_v this_o kingdom_n famous_a and_o happy_a for_o other_o king_n have_v power_n as_o large_a but_o not_o so_o much_o restrain_v which_o largeness_n of_o their_o power_n have_v raise_v those_o king_n indeed_o but_o not_o their_o kingdom_n to_o a_o great_a degree_n of_o envy_n 3._o hence_o we_o discern_v that_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o king_n to_o envy_v their_o people_n happiness_n because_o the_o largeness_n of_o the_o people_n happiness_n depend_v much_o upon_o the_o restraint_n of_o the_o king_n exorbitant_a power_n 4._o if_o this_o mixture_n and_o well-poised_a constitution_n have_v raise_v this_o kingdom_n to_o so_o great_a a_o degree_n of_o envy_n no_o marvel_n if_o jesuitical_a counsel_n be_v active_a to_o overthrow_v this_o happy_a constitution_n q._n 8_o what_o be_v the_o conveniency_n or_o good_a of_o monarchy_n a._o the_o unite_n of_o a_o nation_n under_o one_o head_n to_o resist_v invasion_n from_o abroad_o and_o insurrection_n at_o home_n page_n 18._o obs._n 1._o what_o pernicious_a counsellor_n be_v they_o then_o to_o a_o monarch_n that_o advise_v he_o to_o bring_v in_o from_o abroad_o germane_a horse_n or_o a_o irish_a army_n or_o a_o fleet_n of_o dane_n to_o invade_v this_o kingdom_n or_o to_o employ_v dunkeirk_n ship_n to_o seize_v upon_o his_o merchant_n which_o be_v so_o formal_o contrary_a to_o the_o proper_a good_a or_o end_n of_o monarchy_n itself_o 2._o or_o be_v they_o better_o or_o worse_o that_o advise_v he_o to_o authorize_v or_o even_o permit_v any_o in_o his_o name_n to_o plunder_n rob_v spoil_n imprison_v any_o of_o his_o subject_n who_o they_o have_v find_v peaceable_o in_o their_o house_n or_o at_o work_n in_o the_o field_n and_o have_v not_o disobey_v any_o legal_a command_n of_o he_o q._n 9_o what_o be_v the_o ill_a of_o absolute_a monarchy_n or_o the_o inconvenience_n to_o which_o it_o be_v liable_a a._o the_o ill_a of_o absolute_a monarchy_n be_v tyranny_n page_n 18._o obs._n 1._o therefore_o the_o more_o absolute_a a_o monarch_n be_v the_o more_o prone_a to_o be_v a_o tyrant_n 2._o therefore_o also_o it_o be_v safe_a to_o restrain_v the_o king_n of_o some_o power_n to_o do_v
