honi_fw-fr soit_fw-fr qvi_fw-fr mal_fw-fr y_fw-fr pense_fw-fr diev_n et_fw-fr mon_fw-fr droit_n by_o the_o king_n a_o proclamation_n for_o the_o speedy_a call_v of_o a_o parliament_n james_n r._n we_o have_v think_v fit_a as_o the_o best_a and_o most_o proper_a mean_n to_o establish_v a_o last_a peace_n in_o this_o our_o kingdom_n to_o call_v a_o parliament_n and_o have_v therefore_o order_v our_o chancellor_n to_o cause_n writ_n to_o be_v issue_v forth_o for_o summon_v a_o parliament_n to_o meet_v at_o westminster_n upon_o the_o fifteen_o day_n of_o january_n next_o ensue_v the_o date_n of_o this_o our_o royal_a proclamation_n and_o that_o nothing_o may_v be_v want_v on_o our_o part_n towards_o the_o freedom_n of_o election_n as_o we_o have_v already_o restore_v all_o city_n towns-corporate_a and_o borough_n throughout_o our_o kingdom_n to_o their_o ancient_a charter_n right_n and_o privilege_n so_o we_o command_v and_o require_v all_o person_n whatsoever_o that_o they_o presume_v not_o by_o menace_n or_o any_o other_o undue_a mean_n to_o influence_n election_n or_o procure_v the_o vote_n of_o any_o elector_n and_o we_o do_v also_o strict_o require_v and_o command_v all_o sheriff_n mayor_n bailiff_n and_o other_o officer_n to_o who_o the_o execution_n or_o return_n of_o any_o writ_n summons_n warrant_v or_o precept_n for_o member_n to_o the_o ensue_a parliament_n shall_v belong_v that_o they_o cause_v such_o writ_n summons_n warrant_v and_o precept_n to_o be_v due_o publish_v and_o execute_v and_o return_v thereupon_o to_o be_v fair_o make_v according_a to_o the_o true_a merit_n of_o such_o election_n and_o for_o the_o security_n of_o all_o person_n both_o in_o their_o election_n and_o service_n in_o parliament_n we_o do_v hereby_o publish_v and_o declare_v that_o all_o our_o subject_n shall_v have_v free_a liberty_n to_o elect_n and_o all_o our_o peer_n and_o such_o as_o shall_v be_v elect_v member_n of_o our_o house_n of_o commons_o shall_v have_v full_a liberty_n and_o freedom_n to_o serve_v and_o sit_v in_o parliament_n notwithstanding_o they_o have_v take_v up_o arm_n or_o commit_v any_o act_n of_o hostility_n or_o be_v any_o way_n aid_v or_o assist_v therein_o and_o for_o the_o better_a assurance_n hereof_o we_o have_v gracious_o direct_v a_o general_n pardon_v to_o all_o our_o subject_n to_o be_v forthwith_o prepare_v to_o pass_v our_o great_a seal_n and_o for_o the_o reconcile_n all_o public_a breach_n and_o obliterate_v the_o very_a memory_n of_o all_o past_a miscarriage_n we_o do_v hereby_o exhort_v and_o kind_o admonish_v all_o our_o subject_n to_o dispose_v themselves_o to_o elect_a such_o person_n for_o their_o representative_n in_o parliament_n as_o may_v not_o be_v bias_v by_o prejudice_n or_o passion_n but_o qualify_v with_o part_n experience_n and_o prudence_n proper_a for_o this_o conjuncture_n and_o agreeable_a to_o the_o end_n and_o purpose_n of_o this_o our_o gracious_a proclamation_n give_v at_o our_o court_n at_o whitehall_n the_o thirty_o day_n of_o november_n 1688_o in_o the_o four_o year_n of_o our_o reign_n god_n save_v the_o king._n london_n print_v by_o charles_n bill_n henry_n hill_n and_o thomas_n newcomb_n printer_n to_o the_o king_n most_o excellent_a majesty_n 1688._o
